    Hi 'jamanoids.

Could someone tear apart this Beeblebrox guy. I'm well aware that he's got
two heads, but the more fun we'll have decapitating him. Not that we all don't
like moocows and all, but half a 'jam of his .sigs is more than I can
bear. Ever seen anyone taking an EOJ w/ such foul methods before?

Oh and another thing. This will be the day our archenemy RESPONSE at IBMMAIL
will die. I'm sure pretty many of us have been waiting for that. Now Ryan E. can
    finally change the list's alias.

Since it seems there are quite a few musicians out there, could you please
give me advice on what 4-tracker (with track bouncing capability) to get? I
heard the Tascam Porta 07 is good. My budget is 500-600$.

    Mornin' all,

Noticed that someone wants to start a "fave-guitarist" thread. Cool,
but, that someone also listed his fave guitarist for a start.

WHAT; NO MENTION OF MARILLION'S STEVE ROTHERY!!!???

What's the world coming to? To all of you die-hards, if you ever get
the chance, ask DT what they think of Steve Rothery, they'll tell you
the guy's a star, and they even performed with him at the Ronnie Scott
    show at the Marquee.

Check out the guitar-solos on Marillion's "Easter", "Sugar Mice" and
"Jigsaw"....just a few examples of how to become quite simply THE best
(and sadly underrated) guitarist in the world...

    This world is totally fugazi....

I can't be the only one to think that the new Metallica single is, shall
we say, disappointing? Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the new DT cd
to revive my faith in American rock'n'roll!!!

    Best wishes,

Ytse-Ladies and Ytse-Gentleman, the G.A.S. has a new name: "Ytse-Survey International", now that the thing is almost over. (Thanks for the inspiration, Assen)

We have reached the end of May, and the number of G.A.S. participants has only reached 91! For those of you who haven't yet participated, I would greatly appreciate your joining forces in this, in the far-too-little time we have left, as I find it interesting to know where the general interest of the YtseJam as a whole lies.

*** For those who still don't know what the Ytse-Survey International (YSI) is all about, I'm compiling all of the Ytse-jammers personal Top 10 bands/artists lists to find out which bands/artists are the most popular among those subscribed to the Jam.

Top 10 lists (that can, but don't have to, include DT) can be E-mailed to:

    syoung@primenet.com

and will be received until May 31st, at 11:59pm (Arizona Time). Lists will be tallied and a non-DT band/artist will be crowned on or about June 1st (my wife's birthday), and complete results (ALL bands/artists received and number of votes) will be posted on or about that day on the Jam.

ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!: ATTENTION!!!!!:

*** I STILL need to hear from BOGIE, ANDREAS KASPER and ADAM COOK - you guys only left me five bands to work with - help! Without your complete Top Tens, you can't be included in the final big feature of the survey.

*** Thanks for the info on TKK, guys.

    ------------------------------

    Current Top 5 (non-DT) as of 5/30/96, out of 91 participants and 284 bands/artists received: 1) Queensryche (55 votes) -> They just might pull off the upset! 2) Rush (51) -> They're going to need a last-minute miracle to take the title. 3) Fates Warning (36) 4) Metallica (27) 5) Savatage (22)

*** King's X, Shadow Gallery, and Yes are also strong contenders for a spot in the Top 5. Others with 10 or more votes: Tori Amos, Extreme, Galactic Cowboys, Iron Maiden, Marillion, Megadeth, Pink Floyd, Superior, and Van Halen.

ONE DAY REMAINING!!!!! We're still shooting for 100 participants and we still lack 9. So, get out and vote, you guys. C'mon, it'll be fun! Muchos thankos to those who have played the game already - you guys rule.

    Steve from Tucson syoung@primenet.com

"There's not a man, woman or child alive that doesn't enjoy a lovely beverage." - David Letterman

*** Also, get ready for an added feature to the G.A.S. that should be pretty interesting - we're going to find out who the most common and most unique 'Jammers are (this will only include those that submitted their complete Top TEN lists). Stay tuned for details.

*** Anyone wanting a copy of the final results E-mailed directly to them will need to let me know - and include a pretty good excuse why you can't just get it from the Jam, okay? (Don't worry, Assen, your excuse is legitimate.)

*** BTW, there's not anyone wagering on this, is there?

All of the DMB fans know that the passage is from "So Much > To Say", from the album "Crash". I'm not asking for MLA notation, but > at least give credit where it's due. I'm sure the majority of 'Jammers > aren't DMB fans, so they wouldn't recognize the song reference. Some > may even think that you actually came up with it, when in fact you > didn't. Plagiarism isn't a good thing.

If you're going to accuse someone who has had somewhere around 100 different .sigs and about a dozen names since they started posting to this list (and it's become obvious to just about all of us that these .sigs and names come from everywhere imagineable) of pliagerism, at least have the decency to be here a while to observe a fairly obvious pattern of one who draws from his most recent experiences and favorite influences while posting.

Maybe I'm just really content with life, but I'd be just fine seeing someone actually get a song's lyrics CORRECT. Half of the time it's a fouled-up line with proper crediting at the bottom. Sheesh, people still do this with DT all the time, messed up lyrics with credits, and on a DT LIST!!

("sheesh," copyright Big Ben Laussade 2MuchInfo Productions 1996.)

Should I yell at Joe Kruger for the twists he's done on my original ideas? After all, he didn't include my name, date of copyright, page number, publishing company, or publishing location. Then there's that guy who keeps using that name made up by that Tolkien fellow. We'll crucify him next. I don't think you're evil, Jack, but......sheesh! :)
