interested in his home adress, cause as far as I now he doesn't have an

Yeah, but can you explain how two posts that I sent three weeks ago wound up in one of yesterday's jams?

It's people like you that make postal workers homicidal, you know that? :)

Yeah, but how are the Cardinals doing? "Welcome back to the stadium, Boomer." :)
BTW, on a completely unrelated note, I've been getting a lot of e-mail lately from people I don't know, who have (to my knowledge) never posted to the Jam. Yes, I run the FAQ, but that does not mean I can answer all of the following questions personally:
* Where is such-and-such sample from? (The answer to "Voices," incidentally, will be added to the FAQ soon. Thanks, Itchy.) * When are you coming to Mexico? (I'm not, btw, and I have no idea when DT is, either.) * What is Kevin Moore doing these days? (E-mail him yourself.) * When will the new album be released? (Your guess is as good as mine.)
And, just to make it *perfectly* clear: I do NOT work for DT or their management. Maintaining the FAQ is a labor of love. I get no money from it, and as yet I have personally had no input from any band members (past or present) about it. I know as much as most of the rest of you about the new tour, the new album, etc. (Jeff C, Mike B, Neil E, and band members: maybe you want to spread some love my way?) I enjoy answering questions, but I don't know everything. Be patient with me - I'm only human. :)

ok but he said it, meant or not and thus should assume; and btw tell me: how else should a tribute be done, huh? imo the band covered should be popular, and most importantly, the ones covering, too. they're making money, here, let's not forget. nowadays, who makes a tribute or best-of for the sake of making it?
> OTOH, I've got very little respect for Shadow Gallery and some >of the other progmetal-bandwagoneers that seem to crop up everywhere >recently. Lemur Voice has got a good instrumental song on their album and
jeez...i way prefer too many prog bands around than too many crapshit mainstream-alternative bands. Yes, by some mysterious genetical transmutation, alternative has come to be mainstream. Go fig. I saw Korn on Headbanger's ball yesterday, and really their musicianship (technical and songwriting) talent is near zero. So why's everything talking about them? because they're well promoted. you can write crap and sell millions if you're well marketed. on the other hand, you can write a superb song and sell zero because no one knows about you and no one took you out to the people. take oasis: wonderwall is not original, but is a really catchy song. well, they'd have sold zero without solid promotion. and when you hear about a band that's selling and kickin ass, you give it a listen and in the case of Korn, you find that there's nothing to it.

Hi all
First of all, I must apologise. In my last post it seems that I misled some of you into thinking that the new Dream Theater CD will be called 'Godot'. This was stupid and irresponsible of me. I now know that some of you believe anything and everything that is written here: this could have serious consequences for your health. If, for example, I was to tell you that Mike Portnoy's favourite way of keeping fit (which he also recommends to the members of the Ytsejam) is to jump into the path of oncoming trains... It just doesn't bear thinking about.
But now onto some real news. The band have announced that a certain Mr. Prater will be the producer of the new album, and that the new album will indeed have a literary title (as I predicted). The album will be called 'The Tin Drum' (think about it). For those of you who don't know, the book was written by the brilliant German author Guenther Grass.
For those of you with a religious bent, sign up for the Pantera Mouth4War list: they are having a religion flame war over there that makes ours from last year look like a brief skirmish in a sand pit.
Minimal obligatory Dream Theater content: Awake received two votes as the best non-My-Dying-Bride album on the My Dying Bride list.
And now for a word from our sponsors: Drink Canada Dry (you may not succeed, but you're sure to have fun trying).
Time to go and pick up my copy of the Lemur Voice album (if it's not there, my CD dealer might spend the next couple of weeks eating through a straw).

I know this has been covered so please any flame do it privately. Just wanted to give my opinion now that I've heard Rush. Man I bought Chronicles, and my friend bought their first 5 cd's. And I must say I prefer the original Rush songs over the ones in Working Man. Not that these new ones are bad, I just prefer it the other way don't know why. My DT cd's are getting all dusty! I hope this is only till the new cd. But Rush really kicks ass, never thought music from the 70's could be like this...wow. So to any of you lucky sob's who are going to Rush's concert anywhere, try to talk to them, (tell them it's in my behalf :)) and tell them to come here!!! To any part of PR I don't care!!!! Whoa, now that feels better, just had to get it off my chest :) Well on to your regular programming... Saw Rush last night at the US Air Arena.
It was an awesome show! Rush was great.
At 8pm the arena went dark and Rush waited to come on and this waiting got the crowd going totally nuts...
Neil missed his drum stick a couple of times when he threw it into the air. During the encore YYZ, I think he threw it higher than he wanted to and when it came back down he fumbled the catch and just barely got the note in... His drum solo was incredible. I had a great view of Neil and found myself watching him most of the show.
2112 got the greatest applause when the song started. My fiance goes "what song is this?" I go "2112". She goes "Do I know it?" I go "No". She onle knows the radio songs. At the end of 2112 I go "That was 2112". She goes "what? I thought it was 3 songs..." She is learning...
Natural Science was cool. Makes you wonder if Rush did this song to show how it is supposed to sound. Maybe they didn't like the WM version?????
Anyone know why Rush doesn't do Working Man or Fly By Night anymore? i know they are old songs but people love them. I'd rather here them instead the Trees, Freewill, at every show i've seen.
The new songs sounded so much better live. Limbo was cool!
I've seen Rush on the HYF, RTB, and now the TFE tour. This was definitely the best...

I'll try to reply individually, but since I send/receive my email from work, I haven't been able to get to my personal email as rapidly as I would like. I've been quite busy, and we've been having some problems with our local(?) and/or corporate mail servers.

I'm looking into this. I know what needs to done, however I don't think I can implement it until I get more SMTP & POP3 info form my (uncooperative, possibly non-existent) corporate POSTMASTER (I'm in California; the mailserver(s) are in Minnesota &/or Connecticut). If anyone out there knows how I can get my SMTP & POP3 addresses by other means, please let me know. Microsoft mail/Exchange strips the email headers, so I can't get the info from there. And I've tried some of the addresses from mail sent outside our corporate mail system and addresses on returned/bounced email.
