Being a Yanni fan for a few years now, I'd say your next step in acquiring
his albums is to get _Dare to Dream_ and _In My Time_. If you like _Live at
the Acropolis_ (LatA :-)) you will also like these I mentioned. Then as you
grow to like those two albums (which won't take long considering how quickly
you took to 'Acropolis) you can continue counter-chonologically (his newer
stuff is better than his older stuff, IMO).

I'm really glad some of you are receptive to Yanni. I've only been ridiculed
for liking his music. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with good taste ;-)

Well, its final. I got tickets to go see Rush. I will probably be close
to the front. I got them through a local rock radio station. They have
a luxury bus that will take us to and from the concert. I think they
have a couple different types of activities. As far as you Ytse-conners
go, it sucks that you will have to finagle someway to get tickets. There
is a bit of good news, however. When the Rush bus/concert tickets went
on sale, there was ONE person that was standing out there at 5 in the
morning to get tickets. The morning show people were making fun of her
while she stood outside. She did get on the air saying that she loved
Rush. She is probably on the jam. Like I said, the good news is that
those good location tickets were very slow selling. Hopefully, this will
remain until you jammers get back. Best of luck and see ya at the show.

I have every Ytsejam starting at #700 saved on floppy disks in pure text
format. If anyone needs them..... :) Right Ben?? I /dcc sent/ Ben
two of his first jam's :)

No kidding !! You lucky guy ! I only have two questions......
    1. Why didn't you ask "Hey, why are you guys against the Working Man
    tribute
CD? It is comprised of several progressive musicians who absolutely
idolize your band yet you guys want to put a stop to it??

    2. Why didn't you end your question with a "baba booey" ?
hehe Those who aren't Howard Stern fans won't get that 2nd question,
       but trust me -- it's funny :)

Seriously though, congrats Matt! You have guts! I probably would have
muttered so much they would have cut me off the line :)

I know I'm late on this but I -just- found the Superior home page last
    night
with the help of an IRC friend and I downloaded THREE sample songs from
    them
and holy shit!!! I've gotta put some money aside and order this CD !!!!
Superior was rocking my soundblaster !!!
And then I found the Ivanhoe homepage by using Yahoo and "ivanhoe band"
    as
search strings and downloaded their one sample song. I like that, too !

I really liked the voice of Gregoor van der Loo on Freewill on the Rush
Working Man CD. So I'm probably gonna fork out the $$ for LVoice as
    well.
Man the cash is gonna be spent before I can earn it this month !! haha

    Jam on!!

Richard Rivera you ARE the man! I, too believe "DED" (scratch that
ALL WArrant discs after Cherry Pie) is magnificent. The first two
Warrant discs were loaded with cheesy fun glam metal. Afterwards they
have matured quite well and have thrown in experiemental time sigs,
mic techniques that one rarely hears in glam. They have made a great
departure from that genre without losing the fun the glam brought to
         rock and roll.

I am extremely interested in seeing if the Skids stay with Bob Rock.
I hate him (as mentioned in previous Metallica posts).

The Nov. 1 G3 show in Chicago is SOLD OUT! Can't wait!!!! Also, just
picked up Galactic Cowboys' "Space in Your Face" for $8.
         Eeeeeexcellent!

Someone asked about a tape of the Con... Irene and I will have an 8mm
camcorder there to tape the good stuff, like the live performances and
Mike Bahr's James LaBrie impressions, et all... We'll probably get about
2 hours worth of stuff, and if someone out there wants a copy, I suppose
we could make dubs of it. I'll have to talk to her, since I can't dub
from an 8mm, and I don't have a VCR (much less two of them) here at
school anyway. But there will be at least one tape of the Con for those
that can't go (or even those than can, if you want some memorabilia). As
far as other's who are taping, I haven't heard anything yet, but that
doesn't mean there isn't someone else.

3 more days, everyone, I hope to see a lot of you there...
