the e-bow is.
the (only) right answer so far came in on private e-mail. The winner:

Yeah! Death to Echolyn! Enya! Etheridge! Elfman! Estefan! Electric Light

Man, I just heard a song on the radio by Madonna that might as well been
called "More Than Words II." I'd be surprised if Nuno and Gary don't get
back together just to record an album of Madonna rip-offs now...

On the few rock stations which are still brave enough to play non-commercial
rock, any special attention paid to the esoterical of the period (namely,
glam) tends to be regarded favorably by the listenership. The most
hard-rock-oriented Bay Area station (KSJO) has done a couple of 80's
weekends the last couple months, with tremendous response. They play as
much Rush and Metallica as anything, but hearing real doses of WASP, YNT,
and LA Guns is also a draw.

Yeah.....one's first experience to Weckl is a little like first hearing
Edgar Meyer -- "Huh? That's an UPRIGHT?! No....I don't think so." Maybe
not THAT bad, but close. As a player, it's simultaneously inspiring and
frustrating...

That tune was a real watershed tune for metal bassists. Highly, HIGHLY
recommended.

This is a question for all the jammers. I've been the proud recipient of
23 jams now, and I have posted on several... Am I a YtseVet yet?
Another thing--
Hey, if there's an elite clique here, what do I have to do to get in?? I
wanna be friends with the cool guys!!! (JK)
Also, someone mentioned earlier the possiblility of not a double CD, but a
"double-sided CD." I'd like an explanation...
So... just how much pull do we have with the Record Company?? I think we
need to maybe excercise some in favor of a double length release...

Hey, if it's popular with the jam then why can't we talk about it?
If you don't like it and just wanna talk about DT. Get on the Dream
Thea.... Oh, yeah... Oops!
There are things that I agree with you Ed and things I don't. The
concert review trends are lame, but you can always tell them from the
first sentence and can skip them afterward. If anyone has relative
DT content, put it first! Otherwise I may skip it. I don't care who
logs what in the jam. It's not like it takes an hour to download
your mail. Just put your important shit first or noone will likely
read it. I often post stuff about this and that and basically just
useless crap, but I always put the more important things first. If
you skip it, it doesn't hurt my feelings any.
Also, with the theme. It just took about 20 min. for me to send the
file to Carlos. (The first request I came to.) I'm going to send it
to the most accesible request here, so please don't get upset if I
can't send it right to you. It's a pain over here, cuz we still have
lamer access in Idaho. I will tell you who I send it to in my next
post or so tonight. Then you all can download it and upload it into
your own websites if you wish. Anyone also wishing to expound upon
the theme may do so. It's not like I put my name on it or anything.
I'm just trying to produce a theme that everyone can enjoy. :-)

I've also heard a lot of Green Day and Nirvana on KSJO. They NEVER play Kiss,
one of the most successful Metal bands of the 70's. I've lost a lot of
respect for KSJO, and every show I go to that they're at I make sure they
know that. California's only REAL metal station is gone (R.I.P KNAC).

I have sent the theme to the following locations: Many thanks to Mika

(European Jammers, Mika's page)
http://www.hgs.se/~te95mne
(US jammers, DREG Records page, c/o Steve)
http://www.hutman.com/dreg
The file is 1.4 MB and the soundbytes are in mono stereo quality. I
wanted to save download time and speech doesn't need to be in stereo
anyway, as far as I'm concerned. The sound quality is kinda poor,
but that's my soundcard's fault. The damn thing was a pain in the
ass. The files may not be up for a day or so, I don't wanna rush
these two. (Thanks, again guys!) Be patient!
Next,
As I always am interested in the instruments every guy in DT plays
on, with or abuses, I have a question.
My drummer says that in the latest Modern Drummer mag, Mike Portnoy
is shown or said or whatever to be playing StarClassics now. (which
is made by Tama, his old endorsement). The FAQ still says Mapez. I
just thought I'd bring this up. Is he shittin' me, am I right or is
he just showing off for Tama and still playing Mapex? Also, here is
a clip that E-Man sent me (Thanks Kim!) that tells what Derek uses...
>In an old issue of Korg PROView, (their little mag) it says he was
>using the 01W/FD and the old CX-3 Organ on tour. Now he's using the

>vid, I spotted an Oberheim somethingoranother which seemed to be what
>he was using for most of his "acoustic piano" sounds. He probably
>couldn't talk about Oberheim stuff, being that it was Korg's

Also, what does James LaBrie play? Does he contribute in the writing
process (besides lyrically) or does he just warble the enchanting
tunage?
Sorry for such a long post!

I personally feel that the jam is lots more interesting to read that it has
been for months. I don't see what all the gripes are about. Yea, the
racism thread is lame, and I'm guilty of contributing to that, but there
are other good discussions going on. If someone hears a band for the first
time and likes it, post about it! Maybe someone who was thinking about
buying a certain album wanted to see just one more positive review before
investing. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Yes Brian, you are a Ytsevet. This is because I consider myself to be a
Ytsevet and I subbed only a short time before you did. however, just to
make sure, HOW MUCH YOU POST HAS NO BEARING IN YTSEVET STATUS! I don't
want to see a big influx of posts of people thinking they need to post to
become vets.
Hey Skadz how many people are on the jam and how does that number compare
with max and min? Respond privately if need be, but I'm really interested
in this.

It's this Sunday at 6:00 P.M. I'm unclear about location, because I got my

So, this means that I need some advice. Where do I go to get shit signed?
Where does Portnoy usually hang out after the show?
If you're going, please drop me a line before Thursday. I'll be leaving for
New Mexico on friday for a Marching Competition. (I get back at three
o'clock that day:) If you are going to the clinic, let's make plans to
