Has anyone ever gotten their Subconscious CDs from that James Arin
Colberg guy? It's been a month since I sent the money and I did receive an
e-mail from him that he'd received my check. Maybe it got lost in
the mail, maybe he lost my address, maybe he's this Al guy in
disguise. If you are on the list James, could you please mail me and
let me know what's going on? Hopefully if it got sent to the wrong
address, it was someone who liked it. $25 for a new DT convert
wouldn't be half bad. That's the only good thing that could've happened,
    I guess.

Please, could somebody help me find the TSO "Christmas Eve and Other
    Stories" disc???

If you have it, where did you get it?

I'm having *no* luck here in Dayton, Ohio. If you got it in a big chain
store, like Best Buy/ Blockbuster, what section was it in? I've checked at
those places, and (no surprise) the clerks are absolutely clueless as to
    what it is.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

So don't worry if you think it will. All Files start with Dream

Does anybody out there have info on this show? Ticket cost? Directions?
Etc? I'm very much interested in going (it's the weekend after Fall
quarter is done). I'd need some more info if you have it.

    Thanks a bunch-a-crunch,

I was wondering if there is a "Best of" Progressive Rock/Metal CD(s)
around....anywhere. Something of like the best of the best from a variety
of prog. artists, from the past and present.

Theres' enough dance/techno, grunge/shit compilations around, I think
we should have one of our own.

If anybody knows of anything along the lines of what I'm requesting
let me know at ; s1042724@iplabs.ins.gu.edu.au

    Thanks...

P.S. If there isn't as yet, then I reckon one of those Bootleg guys
should look at making one. I reckon the money he'd make'd be enough
to cover the cost of copyright fees, royalties and all that shit etc
    etc.....

}I don't believe it! I figured the ytsejam with all its coolness would be
}the last place something like this would come up. I personally am a white
}male, so it wouldn't be hard to make fun of others.

The Ytesjam is a "cool" place.

Gee willikers Craig, that last statement intimates that white people "have a
leg to stand on" when it comes to making fun of other non-whites. Hmmm..

}There is absolutely no need for any racism in the world. I realize that
}there will always be racism in the world, But I'll be gee-willikered if I'm
}gonna let it go on without saying anything.

You and everyone on this list should know this:

Politically incorrect does NOT equal racist. I am politically incorrect,
     I am not a racist.

}China has better test scores than the USA, and did any body catch the

Well, us white people had to keep time and scores, do you think just anyone
     can do that?

}Anyone who thinks they are better than someone else because of the color of

     Agreed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** new since last update * new in last two updates ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

** I'm still working on making the final payment on the Tshirts, which is ** due by Halloween. Orders have been slow, but seem to be picking up. So ** far I have heard back from all but two of the people I sent shirts out to ** last week, the other two I haven't heard that they haven't gotten them, ** so I guess they are just behind on email. This weeks shipment went out ** yesterday: 4 US Priority mail packages, and one Airmail to Switzerland.

** The Ytsejam shirt page has been updated once again. It is current up to ** the four orders I received today, and also has a direct scan of the front ** and backs of the shirts, so you can see what they *really* look like, and ** not just what they are *supposed* to look like. Check it out at:

    http://www.cclabs.missouri.edu/~c675311/ytsejam/

    * I would just like to take this chance to thank everyone who has * been so supportive of the shirts... It's nice to know that my work on * this project is appriciated.

Well, the sales at YtseCon III went fairly well, thank you to everyone who bought a shirt. I've sold something like 70 shirts in all, which is a good start. I'm hoping that orders will pick up again soon, now that the Con has come and gone and things have calmed down a bit.

I have the shirts in my possession now, they are sitting in three big boxes that take up too much space in my tiny dorm room. :) They all came out exceptionally well, better than I expected, in fact. Process jobs (printing color graphics one color at a time) are notorious for severely distorting the graphic, but in this case, it came out very true to the original.

The shirts were premiered at YtseCon III in New York, and everyone I talked to seems very happy with them.

** I have added another section to the WWW page for the shirts. It's a ** compilation of all the comments I have recieved, or that have been posted ** to the jam. You can check this out and see how opinions are running.

** I opened a checking account in Columbia to better handle the orders I'm ** recieving and also get them out without incident or delay. So far things ** are working well.

    ======= Details =======

The Ytsejam shirts are two sided prints. The front of the shirt features a *full color* raytraced graphic from Chris Hailey in Washington. The graphic is a beautifully done scene with the Majesty logo floating behind a group of marble columns on a tile floor with a wide view of space visible behind.

The back of the shirt is in a solid light blue color. The majority of the design is a huge Majesty logo, framed by the Dream Theater title at the top, the mailing list address on the sides and "Ytsejam" at the bottom. Below that is "Internet Mailing List" between two more Majesty logos.

The current lot of shirts is 217 (they printed up more than I asked for, but I'm not complaining). If those run out, and demand is high enough, I may run another with a slightly different design.

You can check out all of the details, as well as a preview of the shirts at: http://www.cclabs.missouri.edu/~c675311/ytsejam/

Please note: Due to some legal issues, the University will no longer allow me to keep this commercial advertisement on their server. To sidestep this issue, Chris Merlo was kind enough to put the page up on his account. Please go to the URL above and follow the link to the new site.

    ======= Pricing =======

The cost of the shirts is $16 each. The shirt is damn close to concert quality, so $16 is a steal (last Dream Theater concert I was at charged $23 for a shirt!). If you require a size larger than XL, please let me know ASAP so I can get those orders in. There is an additional $1 charge for each size increase (ie. XXL = $17). If you are picking the shirt up from me directly the $16 price stands. If you can't get the shirt in person, you can order one through the mail for $20 to cover shipping.

I spoke with the people at the post office and I've decided to set the shipping prices outside the USA at $9, for a total of $25. I realize this is damn expensive for a tshirt, and I'm sorry. If individual prices are signifigantly less expensive, I will gladly return a check for the balance.

The rundown: M, L or XL shirt, picked up: $16 M, L or XL shirt, mailed in the US: $20 M, L or XL shirt, mailed outside the US: $25 XXL add $1 XXXL add $2

    ============ Availability ============

    Size: Sold: Reserved: Remaining: Total: ----- ----- --------- ---------- ------ M 1 0 4 5 L 17 1 21 39 XL 48 8 91 147 XXL 12 4 6 22 XXXL 3 1 0 4 ------ ----- --------- ---------- ------ Totals 81 14 122 217

    ======== Ordering ========

The shirts are open to mail ordering now. Mail orders will be shipped out every Wednesday via Priority Mail for US orders, and airmail for all others. Checks and money orders will be cashed before the order goes out, most likely on Monday. So far, mail orders have gone well, the only problem I have had has been with the bank, not the post office, so don't worry about your orders. All US orders are insured for the amount paid for the shirts and shipping, and insurance on airmail depends on the country and other aspects.

To order, send a check or money order for the proper US dollar amount (see pricing above) to:

Pat Griffin 537A Hudson Hall 1202 E. Rollins St. Columbia, MO 65201

Make them payable to Pat Griffin, and remember this in US dollars.

Be sure to include: Your name. Email address. Mailing address. Phone number. Quantity of shirts you want to order. The size of each. Whether this order is for pickup for mail order.

I will keep you up to date on the status of the shirts through email.

Yea, but Barney and Baby Bop sing the former way, I thought you were a progressive person Bafu. Please consider your sources, this is a public list.

    >> ** This list is about Dream Theater...I have not seen a relevant Dream >> Theater post in some time. NOW, granted....the group hasn't done >> anything relevant in the better part of a year, BUT

I read these type of comments a lot here and still fail to understand why people expect not to incurr peripheral subjects when discussing music amongst so many list writers. This is a fellowship of DT fans, a brotherhood as at were, you should expect to wander off the beaten path from time to time. IMO that's what makes this list worth reading.
