OK, now that I have your attention, I wanna talk about something. As you
all know, DT will be playing 5 shows. If you are planning on flying in
from someplace far away, GO TO THE POUGHKEEPSIE SHOW!!!! This is a once
in a lifetime oppurtunity for me to see DT in my backyard (Well, the
closest thing I could get to a backyard in ODDVILLE). Sine I know my way
around the Hudson Valley pretty well, I was thinking about something.
How about I do a con? Then we can all get together before the show and
go to it together, raising all hell in upstate NY? Kinda like the Malibu
thing last year. I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not staying at
that one which is all the more reason for me to do this one. Now LISTEN
CAREFULLY!!!!!! I am not saying I will definately do this, it's just an
idea in my head. Before you start asking I CANNOT PROVIDE LODGING FOR
ANYONE!!!!! My house is barely big enough for me. You would have to stay
at a hotel. The hotel I have in mind for the con is a good 5 or 6 blocks
away from the Chance So it's REAL convinient. I have LOTS of school work
to cathc up on this week, so I probably won't read the jam for a few
days. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE SEND ME A PRIVATE E-MAIL!!!!

I'm gonna add my complaint to those of several others!
    FUCCCKK!

I can't believe DT is playing in Providence on the 13th! I live no more
than 20 minutes from the damn place...WHEN I'M NOT IN ARIZONA AT SCHOOL!!!

Anyway, the guy on the cover was wearing a DT shirt! Check it out.

    --THREE--

For any of those people going to the DT shows in Dec, is there any way I
could arrange for one of you's to pick me up a shirt? I'd be superbly
    greateful!!

I've also heard this compilation. You're right in that it doesn't
sound anything like DT or the like. These Kinesis bands are all basically
HEAVILY influenced by the '70s art-rock bands such as Yes, ELP,
Gentle Giant, etc. None of the bands sticks out as being very original or
innovative. They're all great musicians, but I can only listen to so
    much '70s retro-throwback Yes-clones. If you're a fan of this style
of music, you'll want to get this disc. If you like a little more
variety and originality than you'll want to check this out:

"DREGs of the Internet - Volume 1" features 70 minutes and a dozen of
the internet's best independent progressive rock & metal bands.
You've heard rave reviews of some of the bands right here on this
    list. It features:

Clockwork, Happenstance, Mirror, Cold Front, 3250, Psychedelic
Lullabies, Facade, Inferno, The Age of Reason, Naked, Natures Call,
    and Atlantis.

This compilation contains many different styles of progressive music,
from art-rock (like the Kinesis bands) to prog metal (like Clockwork).
It's received great reviews and comments from those who have heard it
already, so don't be the last on your block.

Hey , I would pay a damn good price for that boot. I saw it for $55 two years ago, but didn't have the cash with me. I figured I'd e it again but never have.

I guess I never followed it that far back. It is true however true Alone You Breathe includes most of Believe. This is because after Criss's death, Belive took on a different meaning for Jon. He reworked the song to better fit its new meaning. Note that both songs are the last on the album, sort of adding closure to the album.

    > The story starts there. I have the impression that Jon > is very seriously pouring out his heart on these. This just might be his

Jon aways pours his heart out in his music. And the more you know him the more powerful it gets. For his life story, is summed up in Streets.

OK, time for another question from me. I've been taking private guitar lessons for some time now, learning Yngwie, DT, Vinnie Moore, Michael Shanker, ETC. I've also tried taking more for finger-picking and jazz voicings so I can rock the world with diversity. I'm a music major here at Williams and intend to do as much as I can musically when I leave. Problem: Program here isn't too diverse. I either want to transfer, or do some graduate school. Where would some of you musicians suggest? I've heard good and bad things about Berekly. Let me know privately, if you would. Take care and be well. M B

Here in Stockton, CA (next to Lodi), my friend goes to a jc and one of his best friends is African (like really from Africa). It's sad. One time, they were in the library and a local black guy sat down and talked to the African dude for half and hour and he *never* once looked at my (very white) friend. The African guy even comments that that kind of behavoir is pathetic. At a Wal-MArt in Lodi once, they were walking around together and a little (white) boy within earshot asked his dad, "Look! A black man walking with a white man." When I went to that school a few years ago, there were only one or two minority "clubs", MeCHA- (Latino) understandable since it is a farming community) and an inclusive Asian club. There are a lot more than that now. The African guy, Ahbrymah (that's how it sounds) joined the African American club and he isn't even A-A'can! He was kind of pressured for a long time into joining

Stockton is one of a few places where minority pops. do not reflect the rest of the country. Everything is a little more equalized (I think I had friends of all backgrounds (I hate the word "race"), but it is becoming more and more dangerous - almost like a prison rivalry in a few instances. In a community this diverse, it is really sad.

    >I've also heard a lot of Green Day and Nirvana on KSJO. They NEVER play Kiss, one of the most successful Metal bands of the 70's. I've lost a lot of respect for KSJO, and every show I go to that they're at I make sure they know that. California's only REAL metal station is gone (R.I.P KNAC).

93 Rock still kicks KSJOs ass any day. KSJO fails to play stuff that was popular even three years ago. The only old stuff that gets repeated will be Dio, ACDC, VH. In the past year, they've gone Waaay overboard on the Metallica (and I love Metallica).

    >> Goodbye to all my friends! I must take the route of Mojoman and >unsubscribe. > Elen sila lumenn omentilmo, Mithrandir

    >These two fucking hipocrits are the same idiots who had this stupid flame fest going on where they would say these nasty things to each other on the Jam and then get together at a bar and have a few drinks and talk about how fucking clever they were.

    Ditto.
