I called TicketMaster today only to find out that there is nothing
announced on Dream Theater playing at Mulcahy's. They were selling
tickets for the 12/4 show and also were selling tickets for another
date, but when they searched their database on D.T and Mulcahy's,
nothing was found. Are they going to sell tickets for this date later
on? Or are they even playing there? Please somebody respond with
goodnews.

I thought that Washburn was in charge of Mapex now, after seeing
their ad on the washburn home page. I'm a bass player, too. I play
a Washburn, in fact. I just like to stick my nose in other places,
too. Drums, roses, my boss's butt... heheh...

<sheepish> It's even liklier that I'll be there, seeing as how I foolishly mixed up the months (not the first time, either). December, November -- what's the difference? Holidays. That's it. But it's not as if "Christmas" and "Thanksgiving" and my "birthday" are significant in any way. Might as well be another day in my book, as I slave in the coal mines every day of the week, no exceptions. What are they worth? Nothing. Who needs 'em? No one! <pause> Hey, wait a minute...
4 to 14 days until Live in Tokyo, Lemur Voice, and Steinway to Heaven arrive in the mail! 10 more days until Rush! 41 (or is it 48?) days until Dream Theater!

Bill Hicks was a hilarious comedian who died last year. He used to do a lot of bits about drugs, pot and acid in particular. If you get the Comedy Channel in your area, they have been playing some of his standup lately. The drug rap before "Third Eye" is Bill. I also found a homepage on him, where they have a lot of transcripts of his standup and such. Don't remember the address, but I'm sure that any search engine would turn it up.
Take care!

Hi kids, as I recently got a job, I started to keep track over all my projects, and I made one column for YtseJam as well. I spend between 6-10 hours weekly doing this! That is one day of work, which would pay me XXX money! Why do I do this, my friends ask me? Just because I need you all so, and I consider you some of my closest friends, even though I've never met any of you. Some strange sensation, that is! But living in my town, you don't have many chances to meet DT-people. Yesterday I found Saga Generation13 in a cut-price bin, and I bought it immediately. What a masterpiece that is! I have some of the older Saga-albums, but this one exceeds them all by far. It has their sound, but on this they've matured a lot. It is a concept-CD, and gives you the same sensation (almost) as The Wall. Beeing a concept it has nice little connection between the songs and a continous theme through many of the songs. What I wonder is if any of you have/know where to find the lyrics, since mine is without any paperworks. Please let me know, because I am a lyric-addict, especially when it comes to concept-albums. Perhaps this was old news to most of you, please forgive me then, it's just that Saga isn't very common on the list. I prefer them to Rush, because of GLee's singing, which in my opinion is "strange" <diplomatic!>

YEAH, To whom do I send the Money! This is really something I would pay too much for. And I already envy all of you who are going there. And I can NOT understand the whining, that some of you have a final the same day.

Hi , I just got the Wake Up boot CD from the Japanese pay-per-view and noticed that in many songs James goes off key and his voice seems kind of harsh. From other live recordings I have heard , I know he doesn't usually sing that way , so I was wondering if anybody knew why that particular night he sang so way off? Anyways it just mere curiosity.

I've had 2112 for a while now and it's ok, but nothing to call home about. I finally gave in and picked up moving pictures for $9. While IMO the versions of RB and YYZ on the tribute are much better than the originals, there is some good stuff on MP. However, I still fail to see why everybody says that Neil Peart is better than Mike. Am I missing something? Do I have the 2 albums where he doesn't do any crazy drumming? I guess some of his stuff is pretty advanced, but nothing that Mike couldn't do in his sleep. I'm not flaming rush or anything, I'm just really trying to understand why they are so popular.

i've noticed james' voice is not always in top shape on certain boots i know this happens mainly for 2 reasons: extensive touring and his growl/singing.... if it wasnt for his operatic training, i think he would have had problems by now.... in any case, he is a exceptional singer...

well, needless to say i was not disappointed by the show. not to mention my beloved bombers won the series, which made the night all the better. kay. so...Adrian Legg was interesting. I didn't know what to expect but the style was very intricate and medieval-sounding. definite plus.
vai was excellent. if i was a guy i would have had the biggest hard-on for him. he moves like a snake - really knows what he's doing. the only thing that would have made his set better was if he'd played "The Audience is Listening" - that was the first vai song i ever heard and it still brings back great memories.
johnson was absolutely spectacular. he actually played "cliffs of dover" which suprised me cos someone on the Jam said he hadn't played it yet. i cried. johnson has and always will be my favorite, and he definitely lived up to it. :) wow.
now, satriani i am not familiar with at all, but his playing was so full of life and really quite good. i fully plan on buying some of his shit - any suggestions on where to start? but i do agree with whoever it was that said his endings were kinda lame-o. Stu Ham(m?) was superb. his peanuts solo was great:)
kay, i wasted enough space. was anyone else there last night? -Nicole Mercedes

Obviously, you haven't heard of time traveling devices, chap. Queensryche was stumped for lyrics in 1990, zipped to 1992, stole the album title, came back in time to 1990, added them to their song, and destroyed the evidence so well only a genius detective like GuyFurlong@aol.com would be able to figure out their heinous scam. Duh!
