Iīm a guitar player from Kristianstad, Sweden, and I wondered if there are any
musician that would like start a progressive band.
The music I write sounds like a mix between "Images & Words" and "A Change of
Seasons". I donīt write lyrics.

Talk about not paying attention to the jams. Why don't you go reread some
of them to see where my last post came from. It seems like you barely even
read my post that you responded to on the jam, let alone anything else.
>Excuse me, pudwhap, but that was extremely uncalled for. Does >Chris
>control the fact that there are a ton of ingnorant people who >don't
>read the jam?
You have no idea what you're talking about. You obviously never read
my first post and Digital Man's reply. My comment about my friends in
philly not knowing either was a REPLY to something he said in his message.
>I just didn't like the way jeremy had 'banned' discussing manson. (This
is from my post, Put up or shut up)
this is what you said:
>As for the Marilyn Manson issue, I don't recall Chris banning >people
I NEVER SAID CHRIS BANNED ANYTHING
>from discussion. I don't like MM much myself, but I'm not gonna
>force my opinion on someone and make an ass out of myself in front >of
How was I forcing my opinion on anyone? I was EXPLAINING what I meant in
my original post, because Digital Man wrote a reply and was trying to make
jokes about what I said.
>everyone. You've just done an impressive job of that yourself.
I admit, when I first wrote how I was pissed about not knowing what was
causing all the delays, I hadn't seen the recent posts on the jams about
it. That was a simple lack of time. I didn't like the way Digital Man
replied to my post so I wrote my last message in response to it.
You, however, couldn't even get the facts straight about my post that
you just read and replied to on the jam. That's stupidity. You're the one
that's made an ass of yourself, not me.
I have nothing against Digital Man, I think we both misunderstood each
other's intentions.

Ever try stubby picks? They're these *really* thick clear plastic things
which are about the same shape and size as the jazz picks. They also

Hello... Since D-Man apologized for taking his anger out on the jam, I feel that I owe a bit of an apology too. I apologize for simply being the sarcastic bastard that I am. Please keep in mind, I live in New Jersey, and am surrounded by toxic fumes every day; this may be contributing. :) If you can't handle my caustic humor, I don't blame you for sending me the private e-mails that you have. I will do my best to repent for my offensiveness, privately and publicly, as I observe it occurring. Has anyone seen the Dianetics infomercial with Billy Sheehan? Or is this old news? It's from 1992 or 1993, because it says To Be With You was a hit last year. They just show some footage from the Lean Into It video (live stuff) and Billy talking, but its funny to hear him talk about his self-actualization and all that... Oh and Merlo, didn't you know it would be snowing 8 months of the year when you moved to Vermont. :) I'd kill for some. I haven't skiied in two years. Not like there's a mountain in this godforsaken state anyway... And Chris Bellardino: you made the right choice in staying. This place is a non-stop laugh riot (not to mention informative!) once you learn to ignore or tolerate asswipes like myself... :) Tonight: Nuno. In one week: INXS (go ahead, LAUGH!). In one month: Collective Soul (laugh some more, you know you want to!). And who knows when Rush, QR, and Megadeth will show up! That's not an invitation for concert date e-mails, by the way...

I agree totally with you Chris and I will second your recommendation. These guys have some really good tunes on this album (and I agree that they do have a FW tinge to them). The songs are well-written and played, but the production quality could be better. It is a great deal for $11. I also got mine in about 6 days. So everyone go listen to some sound bytes and buy the album. It's well worth the bucks!

I am really sorry about all this crap with Scott Cook. He has been publically insulting me for about a year now, and this time he has gone too far. Reading his "private email" on the list made me realize that I am not dealing with a sane person. Not only does he post crap about me on this list, he also lies about it via private email :
> Itchy flamed me pretty good and I decided I was gonna keep my > mouth shut and just hope it went away.
Weren't YOU the one who posted crap about ME needing a therapist and a prostitute because of my self-esteem problems ?
> When he turned around and flamed me *again* I decided I was gonna > say something
First, I tried to keep a sense of humor about it and told you to get off my back. Of course, you didn't. Then I decided to simply quote your shit so your words could speak for themselves. I would hardly call that flaming. Got a new concept for you. It's called "truth".
> I think I sent an email to the jam that was meant for private email. > I don't know for sure, but it's possible. So I want to apologize to > the jam and Larry.
How about apologizing to me too. I'm the one you've been insulting for the last year or so. On top of that, you lie about it via private email and try to make ME look like an asshole. Things were ok when you left for a while. Too bad you felt the need to subscribe again.
The only way to stop Scott from posting more shit about me, is for me to unsubscribe from the Ytsejam... and that's exactly what I just did.
> You have been removed from list ytsejam@ax.com. > Thanks for being with us.
Thanks for everything, Scott Cook. I'm outta here...

To all those who are glad that Soundgarden has split up.
Think about this, now there will be 4 or 5 Soundgardens as they go on their own projects.
I am not saying that I hate Soundgarden, they are one of the very few alternative bands I like.

Hi all. There have been a couple of posts regarding T-Ride. I happen to have a copy of this CD. I bought it because I heard the guitarist was a student of Joe Satriani's. It didn't really do anything for me and I would be willing to trade it for a different CD. (Queensryche Unplugged comes to mind). If anyone is interested, E-mail me personally at: ttubbiola@aol.com.
Also, if anyone has any Gamma (ronnie montrose) CDs please mail me also.

I can only see Chris Cornell doing his own thing. Didn't he write most of the music for the band anyway?

Somewhere in the back of my head, the fact is there, yeah. But it was 60 something degrees last week. I wouldn't mind if it was still winter, but this teasing stuff is driving me nutz. :)

Well, I bought Ivanhoe almost 3 months ago, listened to it a couple of times, and thought it was... ok. Now, three months later, I listen to it again, and I LOVE this disc. I guess it always helps to get away from prog stuff every once in a while. Its not as jerky and discontinuous as I originally thought. Almost as good as Lemur Voice but better than Shadow Gallery on Jeremy's prog ratings tree. Now I just have to find Superior and Angra. Here I come mail order people!

Yes yes yes - digital man knows how to cut people down he gets a lot of practice right here on this list. I believe digital man thrives on belittling people to make himself appear greater in his own eyes - pretty sad. People with low self-esteem often do this, it's understandable, I had that problem when I was 14 years old too.
>I just thought it >was funny. Believe me, I've looked like a galactically stupid ass before,
Yes, D-man about 75% or more of the stuff you put out here makes you appear as you described above. Get counseling, do some soul-searching or whatever you need to at least present yourself to society as someone who should not be contained in a white padded room.
And yes I'm definately "stirring up trouble", but only with you this time. Take a good look in the mirror and put yourself under the same harsh judgement you use on others and you might get a clue, but considering the posts I've read from you over the last 2 years I rather doubt it.

1) I wasn't talking to you. 2) You've been kicked off this list once already. Why are you back? 3) Why didn't you follow the rules of this list this time, and take trash like this to private e-mail? (Or do you just like to see your name in print?) 4) Precisely what series of events was it that resulted in you knowing a damned thing about me? 5) When the fuck did I piss *you* off in the last week?

Oh, I get it. Hahahahaha, good one, Mikey. But you're about 10 days late.
God, imagine that. Mikey C calling *me* crazy. Hahahahahaha!!!!!
> And yes I'm definately "stirring up trouble", but only with you this
Well, I guess I'm flattered or something that you've been losing sleep over my actions. Seriously, man, find a cause. I ain't it. I truly am glad that I hold such an important place in your life, but get over me. There are better ways you could be spending your time.

Seems like you're another sufferer of selective attention disorder. I refuse to defend myself to you. Quite frankly, you're not nearly as important to me as I am to you. But, if you're man enough to take this to private e-mail, we can decide who has better served the mailing list. That is, if you can stand not being in the limelight while you craft your lies about me.
> Michael C.
What, no "Live in the light of God" line in your .sig this time? I guess you didn't want to remind people what a hypocritical life you live as a supposed Christian. Do unto others, indeed.
P.S. a note to the rest of you: I'm sorry that Mikey's emotional imbalances necessitated a public response. Barring any other flat-out lies about my character in this open forum, this is the last you'll see from me on this topic.
Oh, and one small request: Don't reply to either of these posts on the list. The list doesn't need the garbage, and Mikey's ego doesn't need the inflation. Private e-mail is welcome.

screening my old jams, i see someone mentioned the jd jazz iii picks.....oh my god.....those picks are the best things ever invented. better than FUCKING KY! (or kentucky, perhaps).
for those really into them, i've discovered you can order them by the GROSS (that IS gross) through a music store that carries (i've noticed that's not so easy, however). but nevertheless, i found out thisout a few years ago....i'm well into my second gross.
and if you want even more disgusting attack.....sandpaper does WONDERS on those little fuckers. god bless jimmy and his picks.....
btw, anyone else here play the "stubbies"...they're those picks, same as the jazz 3's, but they're like 3.0mm thick? they're like little pebbles. fun shit.
peace.
