Who he really looks like is Chandler's psycho roommate

    hmm.. I scored a 2 :( anybody wanna hazard a guess.. you'll win a special
    prize!

I think it would be cool if a band just ceased to be seen publicly. No
pictures anywhere, no appearances in the videos.. just the music. Live
concerts would be just a black stage and in between songs you could hear
them walking around and talking but unable to see a thing. then after the
show they disappear out the back door. a totally anonymous band. I guess it
    would make a good gimmick.

I wouldn't answer this here, except a lot of 'jammers took advantage of

and when I get my shit, I'll let you know.

The "Superior" of which you speak, unfortunately, is a different band.
They lean considerably more toward the alternative side of the spectrum.

Hey, I remember reading an article on Fear Factory when they opened
for Maiden in St. Louis. It mentioned something about how it was
interesting that FF, being the intense, heavy act they are, were
opening for a "hair band" like Iron Maiden. Maiden? A hair band? I
mean, they have long hair, but they are definitely NOT pretty-boy
    hair types.
    Image means little to me.

he's not kidding. an older friend o mine who's constantly gigging, one of which bands is a cover band, plays this song. now this dude can rip off yngwie, JP, Moorse, whoever.. in his sleep. but the one song he complains about in his setlist for its difficulty is Dont Speak. its got insane chord use, and a real bitch to memorize and play. you should try it sometime :)

YES! I find a kindred every now and then. I've yet to hear "City", but "Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing" basically kicked my butt so hard that my skin turned brown. (Today's version about how Michael Jackson tried to hit on Arnold Schwarzenegger and the latter's quote: "He mistook me for a little kid and I kicked his butt...").

The music is intense, the lyrics are full of anger and pretty childish. :-) "Because I worked for your fuckin' bullshit, I worked for your fuckin' lies, now I'm working on the edge with a thousand times the stress so I can damn you down to size." Remember being 16 and pissed a mondo deal?

The guy said, "I think I won't be doing this stuff after 10 years 'cause this is not the kind of thing I'm overly proud of."

Anyone heard Townsend's Ocean Machine? It's been told to be the best the guy has ever done, some tribal techno combined with metal and ambient. Hearing is believing.

Interesting story: the guitar salesman at the place I used to shop in Western MA was telling me all about how EVH used a phase pedal on the first album, not a flanger. Then he demonstrated with a not so great rendition of Ain't Talkin... I picked up the guitar when he was done and played the phased solo section on I'm The One. He walked away. heheh... Of course, I have since lost that music too. Five years can screw with your memory... I can't play most of those Mr. Big solos I used to know by heart. Oh, wait. That's not such a bad thing...

Oh, and try reading the 15 subsequent Jams full of No Doubt posts before you start up your Ode to Stalin tirade. :S On a related note, I noticed that last month, the Birch Hill had booked Jagged Little Pill, a tribute to Alanis Morrissette. The implications of this kind of event are mindblowing. I'm thinking of creating a tribute to Buckwheat and Alfalfa from Our Gang.
