I have not seen the Twix comercial but this is my guess. The dialogue "Dr
Davis Dr Davis telephone please .... Dr Blair.........." is probably taken
from some widely available sound effects compilation. (at least this is my
cousins opinion and he's a sound guy!)
I know this because we noticed this same Dialogue ("Dr Davis Dr Davis
telephone please...." and later "Dr Blair Dr Blair..." ) on the track T'n'T
on the album Dr Feelgood by Motley Crue. It is the exact same
voices/dialogue as in Operation Mindcrime - although the dialogue has been
chopped up a little and different other sounds are present over the top.

Can someone tell me if super-shredder Vinnie Moore ever recorded anything with
Vicious Rumors? I read an article in which he mentioned being in the band
early on.

Straight up. One can't base an opinion (or shouldn't, anyhow) on a
generalization.
The only thing we can say for certain is that *all* Canadians like donuts.
An Iron Maiden question -- those double-disc bonus-disc sets that came out
in the recent past... Have they stopped producing them? I've been looking
around to complete my Maiden-collection, but all I can seem to find are the
damned single-disc versions (good albums, but without the free bonus disc!).
Just one more reason to hate the record companies (as if one more was even
necessary).

Ok...I thought I could restrain from putting in my two cents about this
whole "Who's country is better", but I have a piece of knowledge that
remains a constant in any issue concerning who's better...
That fact is...
every human being (except down's babies) have 46 chromosomes. That is
what makes us human.
I find it useless for a person to compare hisself/herself to someone else,
and put hisself/herself higher then the latter. This is a sure sign
of insecurity. I think it's great that people take pride in their country.
That is what brings a country together. But to put down another country
just shows how much of a child a person really is.
Humans have the ability to reason. What baffles me is when someone
ignores that fact and decides that what they believe is right without
looking at the other side. I have my opinions. But if someone presents
another opinion to me in a *reasonable* *manner*, then I will give it a
heart felt look and if it turns out that the other persons view is more
realistic then I'll change my opinion.
I accept that fact that people disagree, and I even find enjoyment in
light hearted debates. I do my best to take what people say with a grain
of salt. I just try to go about my day with a good outlook, and try to
help someone who needs it. Instead of bashing people who might be less
fortunate, I try to help them the best I can. Instead of bashing
countries I know nothing about, I aspire to learn more about them.
One key thing to remember...if you have no knowledge on a subject, it's
usually best to stay out of debates concerning that subject. There's
nothing wrong with saying "I don't have enough knowledge on that subject
to make an informed opinion".
Ok...I'll get off my soapbox.
Take care 8-)

yes. He did. He was on the first album of VR on Roadrunner. But this ain't
what they (V.Moore and the band) intended, Mike Verny negotiated about that
to promote them.
Btw,do you know that V. Moore played as the support guitarist for T.M.

Well,I've never thought I could read message about THUNDER on this list.
First of all, I like them from the day their first album (as Thunder) came
out. Musically, the first one titled "Back Street Symphony" is their bast
album so far. They left 3 albums on EMI (UK),and after the
departure(dropped--maybe this word is more suitable than previous one) from
EMI, they dealt with JVC and released "The Thrill Of It All" last year.
Well, musically they got back to their earlier stuff, very 70's UK rock,Paul
Rodgers style vox. (Danny---the funniest frontman of the world) is very
tallented one. Their 4th Japan tour was my 3rd gig of this year
(1st-Angra,2nd-Ten,4th-Marilyn Manson,5th-Firehouse) and they did it well
again. Some kind of Pure Rock thing. In case you're interested in only
Prog-Rock,you will feel nothing with their stuff. But if you are
open-minded rock fan, grab their albums, very cheap price,I think.

You MUST be joking. This is the least logical argument I've ever
heard. Regardless, I won't get any further involved here. The Ytsejam
has become a fucking political debate, and some of you fucking losers have
unreasonably large egos.
This shit is ridiculous. I am not at all proud to be a member of
this list, with all the assholes that have come out of the woodwork. What
the hell is making you people fight about such a stupid topic?
Before you post, think to yourself "Does this have ANY FUCKING
RELEVANCE TO THE YTSEJAM, DREAM THEATER, or MUSIC in ANY WAY?" If not,
SHUT THE FUCK UP. If you morons need a forum to argue about who's country
is better, and who liberated Holland, and all this other crap, I will make
you a mailing list. Stop soiling this list.

$B!!(BWell, someone mentioned about Mike Majitevic of Steelheart,so let me say so
mething about him.
I like him for his vocal ability and performance on "She's Gone" from 1st
SH album. His high-tone really owesome. But I'd like to introduce the 3rd
SH album titled "WAIT". You know (maybe you don7t know, anyway), he had
heavy accident on their US tour with SLAUGHTER. The stage light fell onto
him and he hit his head seriously with it,and he almost lost his life, but
fortunately, he recovered, though lost a part of his memory. but his
bandmates didn't wait his recovery,so he re-organized SH with his friend.
So SH-1996 is his solo project. He did very mid range vocal style on 3rd
one. Very emotional one. Songs like "We All Die Young","Say No
More","Shangrila"and "Wait" are his masterpieces. Don't you think that? any
'jammers.

ok i guess this is my obligatory follow up post to the one where i flamed
hitnf to death. after listening to it over and over and over and over,
i've decided that it's not all that bad. Highlights include Cuckoo's Nest
(except for the name of the song) Voice Inside, Some Ppl Fly, and of course
sp00l. I still haven't noticed a memorable riff or half-decent solo
though.
The one thing i think i miss the most is the ambient background noise that
made PL such a cool song. I love those mood-setting creaks and groans and
stuff.
I just saw Echolyn's As The World at a local used shoppe. Is that worth
getting? any input is appreciated.
