The definitive descision on when and where to meet for the Fates August
8th Virginia preshow has been set.
It will be at Chi Chi's which is right off the exit from 95 to get to the
club. We will meet at about 5-5:30. I guess just look for DT shirts. Wear
a Ytsejam if you have one. There may be a table reserved under Jens.
Hopefully a lot of us can make it...

ok folx, anyone that will be attending the Fates Warning show at Jaxx
tomorrow (friday, aug 8th), we're having a preshow dinner at Chi-Chi's in
Springfield, VA. meeting time is between 5pm and 5:30pm EDT. so far

This is such shit. A cassette does not have a time restriction like the CD
does. Currently, a CD can only hold around 79 minutes of music (which is
the most I've seen), but most of us use quality, high grade, reliable 90
minute cassettes. What this boils down to is that E/W is too cheap to
invest in a longer, yet quality cassette. The only restriction here is
cost, and I think it sucks that they'd rather rip the consumer off, than
invest a few more dollars into an 80 minute, quality, durable tape. I was
pissed when I bought Awake, and Scarred was missing. So I opened it up,
threw the magnetic tape away, recorded my Awake CD onto a Maxell XL II 90
(and included To Live Forever and Eve), and trasferred that magnetic tape
to the Awake casing. So even though the casing and the cover have the
reduced setlist, the actual set is:
6:00, CiaW, IF, Erot/V/SM, To Live Forever, Mirror/Lie, LSOAD, Scarred,
SDV, Eve
I like it better this way. Oh, and those harmonies in TLF...mmm...suckUlent.

Just a quick suggestion:
When replying to multiple message, would it be possible to cut out a larger portion of the message, then separate the comment by a carriage return?
It's pretty difficult to read 150 lines of previous messages and trying to fish out the 5 or 6 lines used as a reply.
Just a suggestion to ease the 'Jammers' reading, and it would probably a better way to have us actually read the reply, rather than getting frustrated and just hitting the delete key.

The first time I heard "Lie" was on tv, before the album was out. I almost broke the tv, I remember swearing at Dream Theater, calling them grunge and sell-outs. When "Awake" came out the first song I heard was 6:00, of course, I almost lost my mind, what the hell was this shit? But I did enjoy the rest of the album, and eventually got used to 6:00 and I really like "Lie" now.
Don't worry If some of you don't like YNM, I'm sure the rest of FII will be amazing, especially the long songs. I play YNM everyday at least 3 times, I think it's a good song, but there's too much repetition. I'm already starting to get bored of it. I usually prefer longer songs with much variation and time changes, I think these types of songs are more interesting and they "last" longer too, I'm still not tired of "Learning to Live", or "Voices".
