I would bet it's LaBree. I pronounce it the french way (including
the french 'r') and I guess it only takes a look to realize where
    James' roots lie. :-)

Arash, you wasted our time sending the mp3 files, so:
If you have a fucking problem then get a fucking real Internet
     connection
you fucking idiot! Anyone who fucking uploads a fucking 4 meg MP3 file

     asshole.

It's fucking lameass 28.8k fuckers like you that are fucking up the
Internet! You send mp3 shit that don't work! Take your fucking AOL shit
and shove it up your ass! Dipshits like you that are fucking clogging
up the Internet the way you clog up your dad's ass make me sick! I'd
fucking kick your ass. Why did you say you sent massages? you fuckin

Hey, it's really disappointing for me to see someone suffering from a lack
tolerance. You know, I'm not american, english or something like that. So I
do not speak english from the very beginning of my life. I'm from Germany, so
English was my first foreign language. I don't claim to be somewhat perfect,
'cause nobody can, but let me tell you this: If you don't like what somebody
writes, okay, you own opinion, but at least you should appreciate that they
try to communicate with people around the world in english, even if that's
not their first language. I'd like to see you travelling through Europe and
nobody is talking to you, 'cause you don't speak let's say italian, french or
    german.
Then I have to say that some jammers, thank God a minority!, wouldn't even be
able to say one simple sentence if you'd eliminate (?) words like fuck, bitch
and so on from their vocabulary. Hey, I myself use these words every now and
then, but only sometimes! Maybe you should learn how to express your thoughts
and feelings so other persons are willing and able to talk to you. Otherwise
you should sit in front of your TV and talk to this machine, at least you
    don't insult others anymore.
To the majority of jammers who try to discuss things and opinions: I really
appreciate most of your thoughts! Go ahead.

    That's for now,
    Carpe Diem

First off, my public apology to three of my fellows...

Pat & Brandon - sorry about the "East on 644". Brain Dead, that's it,
I'm brain dead. :) At least I was when I talked to Pat! Oh well, I'm
sure we'll have lots of kind and gentle words for each other during the
    coming football season...

Jason - I'll MAIL you the promised shirt. In all honesty, I completely
    forgot. I _was_ a bit distracted... :)

    On with the night-

Well, I now have faces to the names, and some comments -

D-man - You're headed to William&Mary? Is that right? It should be more
exciting than VT is, by the sound of it... :)

John Jens - Madden is correct - you _are_ one of those perpetually happy
people - thanx for turning me on the Chickenshack CD, BTW. You also have
    _great_ taste in women... :)

Pat - see above, and thanks for the favorable comments on the CD and
    band in general...

Kevin - JAXX WAS CHARGING FOR WATER? I'll talk to the owner - that was
    bullshit!

Jason - Angra - Angra - Angra in MD! Yes! Go buy some - you don't know
what your missing... BTW, who was that with you? Your Bro?

Thanks for all of the kind comments about Division, and for buying
tickets from me. The good turn out will help us to convince the owner to
have more shows of this type... :)

Anybody want to have another pre - show before Dickenson?

    On with the show:

Divine Regale - I actually met these guys about four in the afternoon,
while Fates was still setting up. They are, without a doubt, the COOLEST
band from out of town we've ever played with. Great guys just to sit and
bullshit with. In terms of their performance, what can I say - they were
excellent! The 'Ocean Mind' and 'Horizons' material was delivered with
fire and precision, and was FAR superior to the recordings. Best moment
    - 'Underworld', complete with the Young Frankenstein sound bite at the
beginning - awesome! If you get the opportunity, go see this band.

Fates - There is nothing I can say. The old stuff suffered from not
having two guitars, but APSoG was absolutely monstrous. Executed
perfectly, with Ray singing his ass off (this man smokes?), and Mark
being a machine behind the drums. (Highlight of the evening - some guy
yelling "Zonder - you da man!" repeatedly while MZ was on the side of
the stage, and MZ finally turning to him and saying "OK, Man, OK -
that's enough." - priceless...) I was concerned that this show might not
be as good as ones that I'd seen before, but it was damn impressive.

Having said that - they still need two guitars for the old stuff. Using
keyboards for Frank's solos was lame.

I don't know what happened with the "meet&greet" afterwards, but I
suspect the cops had something to do with it.. :( I have VA's alcohol
    laws sometimes....

Thanks to all of you who came out - it was nice to see that this sort of
    thing CAN fly in VA...

    Mike

I think Friday night's Fates show was the best overall concert I have
seen. Who would have thought that three bands would come out and play and
    sound so awesome.

The opening band was Division. This local band came out and rocked the
house. These guys are good. If they don't get signed then something is
definitely wrong. Everyone should buy their cd which only costs $10 and
    support these guys http://www.crosslink.net/~division/

Second up was Divine Regale which were on their 3rd of 5 shows opening
for Fates. DR also came out and rocked. They played a lot of songs from
their EP as well as a lot of songs from their latest Metal Blade release.
I have their first cd and the new stuff sounds great. The vocalist has to
    stop pacing though...

Third up was the one and only Fates Warning. Wow! That is all that needs
to be said. They played APSOG, Life In Still Water, Monument, Eleventh
Hour, Face the Fear, and We Only Say Goodbye.

Overall, this show was great. The sound (for the audience) was perfect...

There was a little Ytsejam get together before the show at which the
legendary D-Man appeared in a NY Mets hat. Unfortunately the famous U of
    VT hat has been retired...

After the show some of the band members hung around and talked to the
fans waiting around. Mike Blevins and Scott (the vocalist) of Division
were really cool. Hopefully Mike got some sleep...

The guys in Divine Regale were also really cool. They are really enjoying
their mini tour with Fates. One of the guys said that it is really going
to suck to go back to work on Tuesday. They did mention that since their
new cd was doing so well in Europe that Metal Blade was planning to send
them over there sometime in the near future.

Some of the guys in Fates were really cool. Ray Alder hung outside for a
long time talking to fans and signing stuff. Joey Vera came out for
awhile and talked and signed as well. Finally after a long while Jim
Matheos came out and signed for a very short time and then went back on
the bus. He had to have a crew member stand next to him so he could leave
when he got bored. Mark Zonder when I was there didn't come outside at all.

Overall it was a great 12 hour road trip...

    Hi All ...

You people never cease to amaze me. Let's get this straight
and hopefully we have a small chance of keeping this straight for a
while. IF someone does something stupid like Dr D did in the future
PLEASE (it seems like I have to say that all too much on this list) do
NOT post to the list about it. Send me (skadz@dreamt.org) an email
and include the person's message and I will take care of it. The other
thing you might want to do is to send the Postmaster (usually
postmaster@site.com) a copy of his message. If people get a ton of
complaints they will sometimes remove accounts. I will also do the
same, but you need to tell me about it first.

So, PLEASE, SHUT THE FUCK UP about this guy's stupidity.
Anyone who does stupid shit like this will be removed from the list as
soon as I hear about it, so TELL ME NOT THE WHOLE DAMN LIST. Anyone
continuing this thread of any other threads like this in the future
will be removed from the list. Go to alt.flame if you wanna play
    flame wars, NOT the Ytsejam.

There is going to be a shitload of information on this list in
the near future with the new album coming out and a tour comng around,
so lets keep the noise down and the information and interesting talk
    up.

Yeah what was the deal with that guy in a tux selling roses? Did he work
for Jaxx? He was a total goof looking for any guy who was next to a girl.
He did ask D-Man though... :)

Jaxx was a pretty cool club. Supposedly the A/C was busted and it was
incredibly hot. At least there is one club in the DC/MD/VA area that
    caters to HR/HM...

Oh yeah, VA drivers are nuts during rush hour. We were lucky to get down

OK, I think that guy's mp3's (The one who can't spell) are legit. The
thing is this: Download the zip file into wherever your browser likes to

the file that was left in my Netscape directory was shit, some wierd

Okay, so not only does Mike Bahr take music that is not his own, put in
on CDs and sell them to ytsejammers for about ten times what they cost
to make, he makes and sells *copies* of products made by other companies
whose products consist CDs of music that is not *their* own. Am I
    missing something?

Mike, if you're reading this, your last post was over 50 lines long, and
the only Dream Theater content was: "Dream Theater "Mosaic" orders will
open 8/23/97. Tracklistings will be posted shortly. It's a single CD."

Sorry Mike, it should read: Dream Theater "Falling Into Infinity," will
be in stores on Tuesday, September 23.

Mike, you have put out more full-length CDs with Dream Theater's music
than Dream Theater has! So you're up to like the eighth "Dream Theater"
disc now, each for $25? And Dream Theater (the real band) is about to
release their FOURTH full length album, previous titles going for around
fifteen bucks. Isn't that, ummm, well, uhhhhh, WACKED?!

I'm probably going to get flamed to oblivion for this, but I'm really
sick and tired of seeing your huge posts about all the different CDs
you've made of Dream Theater's music and your hardships and "the
emergency" and all that garbage. Oooooohh Mike Bahr had to sell his
beloved video games! Clearly all hell has broken loose!

Let's face it, you make your living by reproducing someone else's work.
Plus that Equinox, maker of all that is good SPAM, whatever the heck
    that was all about.

You could just make a boot list like everyone else, and trade with
people when you get a hard-to-find DT recording, but no, you put it on a
CD with eight other tunes that everyone has already heard, (or you give
it some name that makes people think it's something other than Pull Me
Under with a bit of Erotomania stuck in there) wrap it up, put some
stupid "Prism Records" label on there, and ship it out the door (or get
your wife to do it) for the low-low price of $25 a pop. (or $23.50 or
whatever the new bargain bonanza price is)

If you want to keep making your, ummm, I mean their CDs, go right ahead,
seeing as how you've got the approval of 1/5 of the band and everything,
but please don't go making huge posts to the jam about your personal
yard sales and "IMPORTANT CD-RELATED STUFF" (and other all-capital
subjects that sound like some new Dream Theater content, when in reality
    are just your sales pitches).

And what you're doing is legal because the CD's aren't being made in the
United States, right? "...one small part of the production takes place
in Luxembourg...", so it's not like you have a CD-R at your place in
Arizona and you're producing the CDs. Oh, good. I'm sure your friend
Luxembourg is doing that part. Right.

You probably have a list of people that have bought your CDs in the
past, and I know you have some web space. Between the two of those, you
should be able to satisfy your "market". Or, should I say, "Prism
    Records'" customers?

To people other than Mike Bahr: All of the material on his CDs is out
there. He's not the spout of all that is rare. Find it, and TRADE with
    people.

Just my $.02. Well, more like $.04 I guess. Oh well.

    Hey Jammers:

Is it me, or the (DT_YES) 5 + MB MP3 file doesn't work? I'm using the
Winamp player, but the file refuses to play. I thought that maybe I
dowloaded it wrong, but then again I have tried 5 times. Anyone can
help? If someone got the file right, can someone reply this message by
fowarding the file to vparra@imparcial.com.mx...thanx a lot!

btw, the new song it is great!
