    > is the significance? Thanks,

I guess you weren't reading the Jam a week ago... A really bad
review of FII was printed in a local Atlanta "free" weekly paper,
POETS, ARTISTS AND MADMEN, by Mitchell Foy. Not only did he hate FII
for pretty stupid reasons, he also got (among other things) DT's
singer's name wrong. The article was posted (and posted, and posted,
and posted) to the Jam by Todd "VAIMAN" Strickland, and a firestorm of
angry emails descended upon the paper. Three of them were printed in
the following week's edition under the banner DREAM POLICE; the paper
made no comment in their reviewer's defense.

I posted a suggestion to the Jam that DT should dedicate their Atlanta
show to Mitchell Foy "in the hopes that he can get his head out of his
ass." Mike Portnoy is currently skimming the Jam (and is no doubt
getting a little FUCKING tired of seeing lame-ass snowballs, thanks
kidz), so during the Atlanta show DT -did- dedicate "JLMB" to Mr. Foy.
Pretty cool; it's not every show where this mailing list makes its
    mark. :)

We now return you to your usual icy wet dripping stupidity.

I know its not the most correct thing to buy self-printed t-shis instead of the official ones. But Im comin' from Switzerland, and allso if I'd like to get an official one...they wont ship it to switzerland. They should make their international merchandise better, or then just say nothing against selfprinted T-Shirts.

Whats better: A self printed DT T-Shirt or no DT T-Shirt?

Yeah - he did on a couple of songs up here at the Boston show, and he was -->dead<-- on. It was sick. His new Yamaha's, BTW, are absolutely beautiful. The Fretted is a red woodgrain, looks like AAA Matchbook, while the fretless is a stained woodgrain that didn't look like it had any finish on it (granted, I was up in the balcony looking down from his side of the stage, so I could be wrong).

And I never realized that he was doing the little wah-fills in NM. When he busted out that stick, it was insane. Everyone around me was like, "Nick! What the fuck is THAT??!" :)

Paraphrasing Jason Newsted before his bass solo on the Seattle video of "Live Shit: Binge & Purge": "It's fucking hot here tonight, Man" (BTW, during after his solo, they play "To Live is to Die" and the full "Master of Puppets").

BTW, talking about "Master of Puppets", have you people seen Primus covering this song on Woodstock'94? I don't even know this band, just that they did this cover. Any opinions?

You know, you can throw the snowballs here, but they'll melt in the way. :-)

TSO: Trans Siberian Orchestra. It's a pseudonym for Savatage when they have a Choir of Children, some guest vocalists and some other people playing with them.

They have released a, simply put, killer album with Christmas songs. It is called "Christmas Eve and Other Stories". I only have one further comment: they have very good taste doing those songs.

    Hey folks--

Well, after being off the jam for two months, I'm back for 6 weeks while having my winter break. I got to have a "Dream Theater weekend" so to speak where me and some friends saw them in NJ and then in NY the next night. We all thought the New Jersey show kicked butt, but the New York show was even better. I think the Nightmare Cinema bit did it for me. It was awesome!!!

Anyway, does anyone out there have a copy of the New York show that took place at the Irving Plaza? I'd love to get a copy of this show as it was one of the best DT shows I've been to. I've got a decent amount of DT and other stuff so let me know. Thanks.

I have to send this to the jam because I lost the guy's mailing address. I know I am involved in certain trades and buys from people. I know I am late. I know I am an ass. I want to go on public record and reprimand myself. I am a fuckup. I have had some difficulties in the last few days, a system crash, an ISP cahnge, a breakup with a significant other, and a band in disarray. I also had a final and some papers due, and I am wrestling with my college over my degree. I swear to anything that is religious that I will get out whatever I owe to people if they email me at damon@injersey.com and remind me. I know I have something out there I haven't sent out. I am also kind of broke right now, and I hope christmas is good to me. So, if I owe you any boots, money, whatever, blood, semen, or defective retinas, email me and tell me. I appologize sincerely for any delays. I don't want to be known as a bad trader. I am just having a tought time. Ever reinstall Windows 95 when you are near totally blind? Does anybody hate Windows 95 as much as me? DTC, around the time of the Trade Winds show, 95.9 WRAT was playing BMS and doing ticket giveaways. Anybody who was at the show will remember the WRAT DJs there. They are a great station. From what I understand 105.5 WDHA played DT as well, although I never heard it. And check out 92.3 WXRK, also known as KRock at 9:00 every night when they play manditory metalica. They play at least one and usually two old songs in the three song block. This Friday,, tonight, actually, the boys from metalica will be on the radio for it. 9:00 pm tonight. Be there.

Damon Fibraio, damon@injersey.com (keyboardist, vocalist, college radio nightmare) Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends we're so glad you could attend. Come inside, come inside Emerson Lake and Palmer

Ooh, a tempting idea. However, as we know, not everyone on this list likes all the bands I'd (initially) consider including. I know there are people here that dislike Rush <shudder>, dislike Fates, dislike Shadow Gallery, dislike (at least some) Metallica, etc etc...
