    Hi gang,
Anyone here interested in ECHOLYN or MR. SO & SO? I picked up 'As
the World' and 'Compendium' this weekend and they are not what I expected.
If there is anyone interested in buying one or both of them, let me know.
Online CD buying: I have to add my $0.02 and recommend CdConnection.
They have a pretty big selection and are great do deal with. They quickly
return messages if you have a question, and they have delivered 2 of my
orders much sooner than I was expecting them.
April Release for new Fates!!!! Can't wait!!!!

All this talk of a new Crimson Glory album prompted me to contact
"Erotic Liquid Culture". ( they are former CG members.)
I wrote them asking if Midnight was in or out. This was their exact reply:

"As of right now music is being written for a possible new Crimson Glory
album but a future release is still undecided. Midnights involvement is
still in the balance at this time. Keep your ears and eyes open for further
    developements."

    ELCgroup

It looks like there is still hope for a CG album with Midnight.
( I will pray, meditate and fast until I get word that Midnight is back
    in!!!!!! )

P.S. Does anyone know what Midnight's real name is ??

I'm guessing that this is an old thread, because it ought to be. But I'll
partake anyway, since I haven't yet. The Wheel of Fortune part in "Scarred"
begins at time 5:30, where James sings,

"And how come you don't want me asking?
And how come my heart's not invited?
You say you want everyone happy.
    Well, we're not laughing."

If you still don't hear it, then you're deaf.

    Glassmoon wrote,

    >Anyway, I recommend this cd to anyone who would like to hear what DT would
    >sound like if Malmsteen was their guitarist! ;)

If Malmsteen where DT's guitarist, they'd sound like the Majesty demos from
    '86 :)

    out Aerial Boundaries next...

and imo, hedges is nothing like yanni. much better.

    Hello jammers

It's been a while since I've posted, but I have to part with my bootleg
cd copy of "The Dance of Eternity" for financial reasons. I'm going to
put it up for auction here on the 'jam, it goes to the highest bidder. I
spent $45 for it. It is used, but is in perfect condition.

For those of you who aren't familiar with this particular bootleg, it was
recorded 3/4/93 at the Limelight in NYC. It's a soundboard recording,
and reportedly is one of the best sound-quality dt bootlegs out there.

    ------------------------------

    The track list includes:

    CD 1 Metropolis
            A Fortune in Lies
            Under a Glass Moon
            Surrounded
            Ytsejam (with drum solo)
            To Live Forever
            Take the Time

    CD 2 Eve (with samples)
            Pull Me Under
            Another Day
            Another Hand/The Killing Hand
A Change of Seasons ("Please Don't Go!" version)
            Wait for Sleep
            Learning to Live

There you have it. Please e-mail privately if you want to bid on it.
I'll pay for postage and insurance.

    Hey Jammers-

while things are slow in the DT camp, i thought i'd let you know that
i'm in the process of preparing a Kansas Tribute compilation for the
members of the Kansas email list (People of the Southwind).

If any of you are in bands who have any Kansas cover songs already
recorded and would like to be included, let me know, i still have
room for a few more songs.

    Hi,

CD Universe, EMusic (http://www.emusic.com), CDNow, and
CDConnection have all been reliable for me. CD Universe and EMusic
seem to consistently have the best prices too. If you order a number
of CDs, CD Universe's shipping policy is cheapest. They're also fast.
I received my order within three days of ordering.

Not getting an immediate hard-on to see Star Wars, I decided to check out another movie:

    Meet Wally Sparks

    HILARIOUS!!!!!

To who are a little too serious (and you know who you are), it might help to go see this movie.

That's because some people are what King Crimson (Discipline album, I believe) referred to as a mommur (sp?), or a fault-finder. From Momus (Greek god of ridicule and fault).

No, Hedges has his fingerpicking down, but he's not a classical player. I could have given you any number of Hedges .wavs or .ras on #ytsejam... Taproot is not like the rest of his stuff... but none of his albums have more variety of composition and instruments. Aerial Boundaries and Oracle are both a bit more consistant and easier to enjoy than Taproot. But Taproot has the Root Witch among other awesome songs... some of the finest and most difficult acoustic playing ever. If you want Yanni with guitars, there's a John McLaughlin album you need... I'll get the name of the album and post it. It's basically him playing guitar, with a full orchestra.

If our good host feels this isn't too long a list to put on the JAM., perhaps a lot of Y'Jammers would be interested in the current Empire Entertainment CD list. If it's too long, perhaps he could just include the email/snail mail info only. Besides Superior, they also carry some stuff by Angra, etc. I can't vouch for them at present, but I believe a fellow Y'Jammer did on a recent post (that's where I got the info in the first place). **************************************************************************** *************
