There was apparently a Pantera special which aired on Sony TV in Japan some
time ago. The footage was shot in Hollywood, California on March 13, 1994.
I was wondering if anyone had a copy of this on video.
Later,
Peace be with you and God bless, ~Vince

I am an obsessive DT fan of 4 years, but have only been a ytsejammer for
4 days, so excuse any ignorance that may appear. I just have one
question right now. Has Metropolis Part 2 been written and if so, does
it have a chance of being on the upcoming album?

I am pretty much convinced that I wont ever see anything. I guess you
can't read very well but I posted for the benefit of the new jammers. I
know old jammers are sick of it since I am very sick of it. It is just
the principle of the thing that gets me. I traded with Al in good faith
and based on a promise that he would send my tapes within a week after we
made the deal. I got my tapes to him within a week, why shouldn't I have
received anything by now? I took the time and effort and money to get the
tapes to him. Al acts like he is this great person when in fact he is not.
LIke I said in a previous post, if you are sick of this dont reply BACK
TO THE JAM.

Glenn Burtnik did one song on the first (I think) B & T soundtrack. He's
also guitarist for Styx, or at least on the Edge of the Century album,
which is the only one of theis that I have.

This is a MUST-BUY for anyone!!!
They're all real good. And the singer rocks, along with that *heavy*
guitar. Man that CD is perfect for the car, you know you just put on The
Truth Ain't Kind and you could go 80 miles in the streets without
noticing! (that's normal-two-lane-maxspeed-30mph type of street heh).
They are definitely excellent. Keep up this work Bernd! I'm waiting for
next cd....

well, i was totally planning to NOT buy this cd.. i was thinking it'd be
full of instrumental guitar runs and typical funk or psycho shred guitar
playing.. i mean, i've got all the extreme stuff, love it.. but just bored
with it for now.. good thing i turned on rockline last night.. THIS ROCKS.
its like total rock/grunge/free for all fun.. i was also real surprised
when nuno said the latest album he bought was cake... its also nice to hear
him do some melodic slower paced solos.. everyone should check this out.

yes its written, yes its supposed to make part one sound like bon jovi, yes
it is rumored to be about 27 minutes long... my guess on this is not a
forthcoming album, but what i would like to see is a metropolis "EP" <- big
quotes there, with not only metropolis two, but several other songs that
dont end up getting released on their new album.. so this would be a, what,
75 minute EP? :)

I was looking at my "Rising Force" CD by Malmsteen, and I noticed
that it said in the liner notes - "Engineered by Lester Claypool".
Could it be the same Les Claypool? Enquiring minds want to know.

.. just have lots of scattered thoughts today.
HEY! Let's all get together and do a tribute album to the band! Wouldn't that be cool? Anyone out there with a recording studio? Has there ever been a tribute album done by people who aren't other bands (ie, just the fan club)?
I wanna sing "Under a Glass Moon" or "Surrounded", and could coordinate everything, but anything else (particularly the recording details) would have to be up to the studio or person volunteering (?!) the technical stuff. Maybe people who wanted to be in on it, but who don't have time or talent, could contribute bucks/quid/yen/marks/dollars/box tops/betty crocker points.
Yeah all right it's a pipe dream. I'll just go crawl back under my rock now...

Are you sure? I have the single and the TTT demo is produced by David Prater. I was noticing this the other day and played it again and particularly listened to the snare. It sounds triggered there too to my ears. Does anybody know anything about this for sure? Let us know, I, too am curious about this.

I think this is interesting. Two things, actually. One is that Chris would have the audacity to actually write what he wrote. It's never enough out of him. The second is that big bad Bill Bajzek (unsubscribed william now) was around way, way, way back when, even before me (I came on board somewhere in the 600s). That he would unsubscribe after being on the 'jam for so long actually saddens me. That he would take a few stupid flames or whatever and unsub is a tad drastic, but nonetheless he *had* been around for awhile. Dissenting opinions are always going to take some flak, but without them, the whole point of discourse is lost. I mean, what's the fun in a bunch of people "sitting" around agreeing with one another? That's too much like a political convention. Of course people are going to applaud your opinions; they mirror your own! I took the other side of the Ebonics debate and argued with four or five people at once on the #jam. No one (virtually) agrees with me, but you don't see me unsubbing because "everyone is a dick." I just think every voice, be it dissenting or blatant yes-manning (not a comment out of you, Tempus), should be heard. Like it or not this mailing list is a community. Every community has its idiots, its people who fly off the proverbial handle, and its intelligent folk. But without each, we might lose perspective and the variety that enrich our feeble online lives. The end. Sermon's over.
