Hi dudes! I'm a great fan of DT but I've got a little problem: I live in
Brazil, and they've never came here or in other country around here (south
america). Does anybody knows about their new schedule, on this new tour?
And I wanna know too if somebody know any adress that I can contact DT or
their managers? I too want to say that I really like to participate of this
mailing list, it's really cool. Sorry about any mustake, my english is not
perfect, ok? Any news please contact me.

As most of you well know by now, a petition to get East/West
in gear and put out the new DT album is currently waiting
for your signatures! If you havn't signed it yet, do so now! :)
This can ONLY work if as many of you as possible sign this
    petition.

    http://www.prognosis.com/petition

This petition will be open until we get as many signatures
as possible. Tell everyone that you know that likes DT to
sign this thing. The more signatures on the petition, the more
likely it is to be effective

    http://www.prognosis.com/petition

In order to try and have some sort of incentive for signing this petition,
a page will be set up in the near future that will feature DT art, photos,
graphics, etc. This page will be accessible after you sign the
petition. If you have anything at all that you could donate to this
page, please send it to: graphics@prognosis.com

    http://www.prognosis.com/petition

I can't emphasize how absolutly important it is that everyone sign this
petition. If you havn't done so yet, please do it now. This is a collective
Ytsejam effort, and will not succeed with out everyone's help. Thanks a lot.

    Ryan

P.S. In case you didn't catch it the first 50 times, the URL for the
    petition is: http://www.prognosis.com/petition :)

Is there anyone out there who knows where I can find a Tung Bass guitar
retailer? I really like Mr. Myung's bass, and it's time for me to move
    from 5-string to 6-string.

Rush, Dream Theater, Leviathan, Steve Morse/Dixie Dregs, Yes, and now a
new addition in my book: Shadow Gallery!! Can someone give me a
biased/unbiased opinion(s) (I'll take any I can get and interpret it from
there) on Marillion? You can e-mail me personally if you'd like. FYI, I
require clean, concise rythms and melodies, without much grunge or
distortion for it to be a great band. Anyway, opinions?

    Thanks,

You're mistaking the management for the Record Label. We're not
petitioning the band or the management. We're petitioning the label.
Management and the band both want the album recorded and released... it's
the label that's slowing everything down. The petition is designed to
impact upon EastWest the fact that WE WANT THIS ALBUM! NOT THE GRUNGE
SLUDGE THEY'VE BEEN SPEWING! We want action on the part of the label.
With enough signatures on the petition, we will be able to DEMAND some
    form of response.

Hope that cleared it up. We'll put up a page to explain our reasoning
    better soon. Maybe tonight.

    Hasta!

Green Day stole this chord progression from Pachelbel's Canon in D?

hmm... i dont quite think so.. but cannon is one of the most famous
classical pieces ever.. you hear it in car commercials, orchestras,
barnyards (yes, barn yards) and everywhere else under the solar fireball.

hey maybe we should put a cover of this on the ytsejam DT trib, taco bell

SO, if you can use this to help you out, maybe we can record our parts where ever and send the tape to him. Drums will be easy, we can play along with the cd or something. This will entail a lot of mailing, but it could work! We CAN do it! Tony

Oh! You're really taking this seriously! :) I'm sorry, but I don't actually read all the jams, so I didn't get the beggining of all this. :) OK, I could play Erotomania, Pull me Under or whatever else I know from DT (not much, in fact), but it'd be kinda difficult to move to Arizona to make the recordings, as I am in South (not central :) ) America... Anyway, it's a very cool idea, keep it up guys. What we could do is take some brazilian guys here and play a song, then send it to you to mix it or whatever...

    HEY,

I'm so damn amazed at the potential this mailing list DT tribute has. I applaud all of you for being such great and loyal fans, I'm so proud to be a part of the YTSEJAM.

Ok, on to the studio stuff. The studio is located in Nogales, AZ, it is about 2hrs and 45min drive south of Phoenix. Nogales is located on the border with Sonora, Mexico(hint hint.. PARTY!!!). The studio is located next to my house and the studio is owned by my father, but I do most of the work in it. I will not charge a single penny for this although I can't spend too much time working on the project because the studio is mainly for my bands personal use, and I'm still in high school. I want everyone to know that I am only 17 yrs old, yes I repeat 17, but don't be alarmed I know what I'm doing(I'm not lying). I have been working in the studio for several years so I know my way around it wery well. I'm willing to do anything in my part to make this a reality. It would be an honor to meet and work with any or all of you. I hope I can be of some use in the project at hand. I'm very serious about this, so I expect the same from the rest of you. I wish it could be easier for the people that can't make it, but there is nothing I can do. I will need help from all of you, so please be patient. For all of those thinking of organizing a Ytsecon, it would be a great idea, especialy since Mexico is only a hop away. If you are *serious* and can make it to Nogales, please contact me.

On another note, I also play the Keyboard. I'm no Derek S. or Kevin M, but I'm willing to do any key parts.

Ok, I'm OFF. Keep in touch.

    Sicerely,

My car might get pissed at driving to Arizona, but I s'ppose I might be able to if this is a serious deal. If it's gonna be later this year I can arrange for the time off and enjoy some of Hector's fine home cookin. (Kibbles n' bitsm kibbles n' bits, I gotta get me some kibbles n' bits...) What's a kibble by the way? (stupid question no. 3)

It better be a long term idea cuz I'd have to learn the songs, too. Let alone come up with the cash n' stuff...
