Can't we all just get along....

Anyway, I see it (as a bystander) that they are equally guilty of this
crap and I think if they would cooperate then it would really help. Stop
flaming each other and just start fresh forgive each other and be
    friends...ok?

And that .sig is getting old (nice comment Jazz) (I'm atheist not satanic
so don't flame me!) and NO RELIGIOUS DEBATES PLEASE I have seen them get
nasty and annoying kind of like this post.

I'm getting extremely sick of this whole thing. I honestly do not think
that either Vince or Jazz should be handling the idea. It all looks like
a high school talent show to me right now.
I, as one of the few female musicians that regularly takes part in the
ytsejam, would LOVE the opporitunity to show off my capabilities. But,
not with a bunch of rambling idiots who can't get along long enough to
decide a possible list of songs!
I ponder the idea of working on a song with a few of you (Saveur and
Ibanez crossed my mind ;) ) But not under these hostile conditions.
** HOW I WOULD HANDLE THIS WHOLE THING IF I HAD THE FREE TIME**
I would ask all jammers interested to E Mail their information to me (
ie instrument, songs interested in, areas available to record in and
time period available, and what recording equiptment they have access
to) Then I would figure out who is close to who, where the alternate
sights to meet were and coorinate getting people in thier own areas
together. I can't think of any other way it could honestly work and be a
    cross section of players.
Either that or a con/ ytsejam jam ;)

If you guys every figure things out...let me know

    Hi everyone,

I have problems with all this recent talk of DT tribute. Personally, I
think it's a crock! Do you think that a bunch of people living all
across the country are going to be able to do "demo" tapes of their part,
and coordinate that way?? It just can't happen, cause you need to get
together, have visual contact, etc. when playing in a band.

On top of that, this quibbering over who's coordinating what is totally
childish! This thing between Vince and Jazzmin has got to stop. The two
of you are BOTH immature (for your ages I bet!). And Jazz, you'd better
watch out when you wish satan on someone.....

All this recent talk has made me want to heave into my terminal, and I'm
sick of it. Let's talk music again, and not waste our time and fill up
valuable space in the jam with this mindless bull-fucking-shit!

OK - now, anyone want to talk Shadow Gallery some more?!

    Jon

Wow, al considers himself a Jammer... Would a real jammer screw another
jammer over and just stick around like absolutely nothing in wrong? Al has
    got a lot of nerve...

Great advice coming from someone who rips people off in a trade. Why dont
you follow it and pay up.

James Bako is another jammer who had the misfortune to set up a trade with Al.
Of course James Bako isn't as vocal on the jam as I am. And believe it or
not, Al's story differs completely from James Bako's version on the trade.

End this bickering on the jam, Al and just pay up.

I think the strain between Jazz and Vince is pretty humorous. Only
seeing what's been on the Jam, I'm siding with Jazz. Vince seems a
little over strung and I'm getting that impression from HIS side of
         the story! (YIKES!)

Anyway, now that I've picked a playground favorite, I'm keyed to see
so many people wanting to get involved in the tribute. I'm tired of
the posts, I don't care whether it gets completed, etc., but it is
cool to see the powerful support on the Jam (in spite of all the
         list's soap operas).

Finally, I'm getting different signals as to the heaviness of the new
Ryche release. Earlier, someone said it was light, not I'm seeing
heavy. I sure hope it's the latter. PL was good, but O:M was the
best. I like the band best that way.

    Hey everyone,

I've been lurking for a while. It's sad that it took this load of bullshit
to get me to write in. To the both of you: KEEP THIS OFF THE JAM!! As far
as I'm concerned, you should both be taken off the Tribute project so it
can be handled by the professionals on the Jam. ie, Mike Bahr.

Nothing personal against either of you, I just think your behavior is
    embarrassing.

    Vince, Jazz, and Jammers,

This tribute has gotten so ridiculously out of control, I am
ashamed to have wanted to take part in it. I have made a great effort not
to get involved in other peoples' problems on the jam, because I get so
many frequent flames for it, but damn it, I'm not sitting on my thumb
    anymore on this one.
Jazzmin and Vince, we've all asked you to work things out in
private e-mail. The fact that you couldn't do that tells me you both have
problems. Jazzmin, you have a major temper problem. Vince, you took too
much authority upon yourself, and away from Jazz. Neither of you have
shown anything that would make me believe that you could lead or organize
this tribute. Any ideas brought up that conflicted with your own, were
shot down... not politely, I might add.
You both have initiative. But it takes a hell of a lot more than
that. Listen up, and listen well: People from all around the USA and
possibly from around the WORLD are considering driving/flying/hot-air-ballooning
in to Arizona to record on a tribute that they WILL NOT MAKE MONEY ON.
When you are this childish and sloppy, you're asking people to spend
hundreds of dollars in travel expenses on something organized by people
who can't even see past their own egos.
You guys have said it all... you've done battle on the Ytsejam
over which one of you will do each song, and whose idea was whose... THIS
IDEA WAS BROUGHT UP YEARS AGO. TWICE. And why are you arguing about who
plays on what song, when you've made the provision for tapes to be
    auditioned? Are you exempting yourselves?
I've offered you a forum to discuss this on. I've offered you
your own free mailing list to iron the kinks in this thing out on. People
are sick of you two bashing it out. This is not the Jazzmin or Vince
Mailinglist... post as much as you like, but think first. Are you
too important to see that we're serious when we say take it to e mail?
Vince, if you're dropping out, don't feel too bad. While you're
not innocent in this matter, you can bet that we're not going to let Jazz
run this thing either. This as close as this thing ever comes to
completion. We've gotten this far before. But there's always an ego in
the way. If this thing is going to be run, it's going to have to be by a
committee, just like with the Petition. The Petition has been a success,
because the committee running it has been cool enough to discuss it calmly
and in private, so as to not piss everyone else off, and so that each
person is heard. Jazzmin, you've made some comments that are just
dumbfoundingly rude and ignorant. No apology for those comments can make
me personally think you're capable of running this thing. Vince, you
    jumped for the bait.
The question remains: What do we do with the Tribute now? I have
no interest in trying to run it, but in order to get it organized, I will
be happy to offer the mailinglist, as I have before, and I'd be happy to
just maintain a web site with all of the info on it. If you have tribute
ideas, send them to ME, not the jam. I'll make them available in every
possible format for everyone interested, without the waste of jam
bandwidth. If I get any feedback, I'll post list subscription info and/or
a URL where you can view the status and info on the tribute.

    Thank you.

OK...Im gonna say this once...and only once...Singers are musicians too.
Im not even talking about the fact that I play several instruments and
have several years of theory. Im talking soley about being a vocalist.

The voice is as much an instrument and a guitar or piano. With one major
exception. If you break your voice ( ie get sick, nodules, ect) you can
not go out and buy a new one. Which means that a singer needs to be
extremely disciplined in order to keep up with touring scheduales and
    even rehersals.

So...next time you use the phrase "just a singer" think about whether
you have the strength to be one.

I have to concur, especially since I was standing directly in front of
Michael Harris during that show!! _Live, Wild and Totally Diminished_
was recorded at Bogart's in Cincinnati when David Chastain was based in
Cincy and Michael Harris lived in Dayton. Chastain is definitely more
of a finesse player; his 12th-to-22th fret one-hand reach is truly
awesome! Harris is more "mainstream" in style; no technique is too fancy,
    but a very tasteful soloist.

    Harris lead a Dayton-based hard rock/metal vocal-band called Archrival.
    They released a CD and (I'm dating myself) a 7-inch VINYL 45! I think
that his _Defense Mechanisms_ instrumental CD is some of his best work,
although I haven't picked up his latest yet.

know I have the Fix for 96 tapes, send if there is anyone that missed out
(and didn't say I was full of shit) please e-mail your list of stuff to
trade. Also, to Mike Burstin, e-mail me because I lost your e-mail address,
sorry. Thanks for the patience, take the time.

Does anyone have the official sales numbers for:
    1. WDADU ?
    2. I&W ?
    3. Awake ?
    4. ACOS ?

I know that I&W went GOLD in the USA. That is pretty damn good!
I can't imagine that the following albums were much less ?

How many YTSEJAM subscribers are there anyway?

The problem with his sig is "God bless". To many of you it sounds very
nice. But to some of us who don't believe in his god, it gets very very
    annoying and it IS offensive.
I'm sure Jazz doesn't have a problem with the "Peace be with you" part.

    ...

    FUCK YEAH!!!!

    Heavy QR! Holy fookin' sheet!

That one's goin' in my collection.
    Oh yeah,

Now what the hell is the deal with EastWest? Just because it isn't
fashionable to have mountain-sized talent and fantastic musicianship
doesn't mean it won't sell like mad! Real music lasts forever...it's
    timeless!

Flame away at that last comment. I just pulled it outta my ass.

    :P
