The new Savatage disc will not be in stores in April as stated before. The
album has been pushed back for a summer release. Also, for any Doctor
Butcher (Jon Oliva's new band) fans, the new disc (The Good, The Bad And The
Butchered) and the American release of the self-titled disc (with bonus
tracks, Help...Police!!, Freaks, Bridges and another) has also been pushed
back for a release later in the year.
Also, just got the DT bootleg, Scenes From A Memory...very cool. I didn't
care for the live stuff with Charlie Dominici (other than Status Seeker)
because his voice is pathedic. The live version of Eve is awesome. The Awake
demos (6:00, Caught In A Web, Lifting Shadows) are pretty cool...you can
hear a little bit of change from the album version. A Change Of Seasons is
my ultimate favorite...the song has changed so much compared to what it is
now especially lyrically and Chris Cintron is an awesome lead singer. What
other bands was he in? Oliver's Twist is Pull Me Under with no
vocals...pretty cool. Only A Matter Of Time with John Arch on vocals sucked.
John had a couple good songs with Fates Warning (Guardian, Damnation,
Soldier Boy, The Apparition) but for the most part, his voice is awful
sounding. The last song, Autumn Moon, is an awesome song even though it
wasn't performed by DT. All and all, a very cool album. Theres my 2 cents
(isn't there a cents sign on computers??)

I see that many other like myself having been waiting for quite
a while to get the Superior album from Dream Disc. I've been
waiting since December 9th!! I gave them a call today.
The guy said that Noise contacted them last Friday and said
they would be shipping the CD's this past monday. Hopefully
we should be getting them in a week or so.

Someone on the last jam asked about where to find WDADU. I saw it at Circuit City for $9! They also have the german version of LatM for $16. Not too shabby. When I heard that there is new Fates, Ryche, and DT, as well as other coming out this spring, I had to add possibly Van Halen to that list. I read in an interview with Eddie, that he and Cherone have been writing like two madmen. Eddie made the comment that he would record his guitar from his bed if he had to. (Due to his hip surgery) Hopefully, we can add Van Halen to the list of new releases this spring/summer! Tony

It was mentioned by some fellow Y'Jammers that drum machines were used on Shadow Gallery's self-titled first CD. Although I may be missing something, this is not mentioned at all on the CD. In fact, on the bottom of the back page of the CD insert it lists *Additional appearances by Ben Timely: Drums and Percussion; John Cooney: Additional Percussion. Maybe this was in addition to drum machines???
