Hmmm... interesting thing happened to me today. I went up
to the local mall (if that's REALLY what you want to call it. Considering
it has all but about 10 stores) To pick up WDADU again on CD (my third
copy) and when I found it, it had a "CLASSIC ROCK" sticker on the CD
case. What's up with that? I know it's coming up on it's ten year
anniversery (wow... ten years as of next year) but should it have a
classic ROCK label on it already? I mean, should we consider Def Leppard,
or any other 80's band that we might have grown up with classic rock?
Hmm... just a thought.

Don't trade blanks and whatnot to get this video. Just go out and buy the
damn thing. Support DT, don't steal from them. If you can't find it
anywhere around you, I'm sure tons of other jammers (including myself) that
would hunt it down and send it to ya. Just don't get a copied version.
And that's all I've gotta say about that.

Hi there -
Sorry to post this due to the NDTC, but I hope that some of you can help me
out. Sometime ago, an audio CD was released chronicling the greatest moments
and "songs" of the NY Knicks. I have also seen it in Nobody Beats the Wiz.
I have also heard that there is a similar CD for the Rangers hockey team.
But, NBTW keeps changing their story. First, it was "Well, we're sold out,
but it will be in soon, so don't bother special ordering it." A couple weeks
later, it was "Oh, we've never had that in, so we can't special order it."
Damn retail stores. :-)
Anyway, if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it. If anyone knows where I can
find such a thing (if such a thing exists), as well as the exact title of the
CD so I don't look like more of an idiot to the sales clerk, please e-mail me
privately. :-)
Thanx, and sorry for the NDTC..... Peace, all! Matt T.
P.S. - "Men In Black" was one of the most entertaining movies I've seen in
years! A MUST-SEE!!!!

OH!! Mine does too! It's perty big too. What's up with that?! I just
thought mine was mislabeled. There's also this little "Made in Germany"
tag on it, and it cost me $18 at Best Buy about 2 years ago. It's the
original CD, not the US reprint.

I'm new to the Jam. So please forgive any little mistakes I may
make.
First; "Falling into Infinity." Great title! Very DT. (not many
people know who "Godot" is anyway)
Second; I didn't join the Jam to listen to witless homophobia
(etc...) I myself am just beginning to learn that love exists on many
different levels. (I myself happen to be a flaming heterosexual.) Quit
the gay-bashing, stick to the music (please!)
These are my first impressions. Stay tuned for more. (spam never
tasted so good!)

I really appreciated all of the feedback on the religious music. My
friend is now away, at church camp none the less, so I will have to play
these things for him later. I have almost given up on the idea of trying to
convince people that things really are ok. I think I am just going to be
selfish and enjoy them for myself!
About Berklee, I know what you mean about jazz being so respected
there and how the people who play it have a lot of misconceptions about rock
musicians. I am just going to do what I have to do to get good grades there
and try to apply the best things to my music and hopefully have the best of
both worlds. Although Berklee really isn't hard to get in to, that doesn't
mean that there is not a lot of really talented people there. Although
there are a lot of stereotypical rock players that really do not have a clue
what is going on there and they re-enforce the notion that rockers are
missing far too many brain cells to be effective musicians.
I am glad that people here can provide many different views and add
a whole new perspective to things that I sometimes see so one-sided. I am
sure that we will always have something to talk about.
See ya,
Corey

possibly fit? The real question is (if anyone has an idea) How long is FII
going to be considering 7 songs are already recorded? Anybody ever listened

I've just had confirmation that the Berklee RMP show IS at 3:00
pm on the 14th of July at the Berklee Performance Center. So this is an
official all call to all of the Boston Jammers who want to get together
AFTERWARDS and grab a bite or quaff a couple of frosties or something.
I'll be there wearing the Black Ytsejam T. Probably could meet in the
lobby of the Center 30 minutes b4 the show too...

Message-ID: <3.0.32.19970706040729.006883b8@mail.alliance.net>
I know I've been posting like a dead-beaten speed freak (obligatory
Drama-era Yes reference) lately about things that come from the Ytsejam IRC
channel, but I thought this conversation that went down was quite relevant
as far as this list and how it compares to other music mailing lists go.
(long run on sentences, gotta love em)
It all started off when Nigel Bridgeman asked the following question:
"What's the King's X mailing list like?"
And edited for relevance, this is the transcript of the conversation.
<Spiff> are there as many cretins on it as the ytsejam?
<Tempus> it's really cool.
<Ernie> Spiff: no, it's a cool list
<Tempus> Spiff, no, actually it's really laid back and chilled.
<Spiff> no list can have as many dorks as the dt one :)
<Dr_Mosh> no, the Jam is very uniquely filled with cretins
<Spiff> although the Savatage one has Whitewolf...
<Tempus> I love being on that list. (Gretchen Goes To The Internet)
<Spiff> so he might count for a bit
<Ernie> Spiff: you need to see the Tool list... awful!
<Dr_Mosh> the only other list that's as ridiculous as ytsejam is freaks
<Dr_Mosh> :)
<Tempus> There's a Savatage list?
<Spiff> hehe
<E-Man> you want bad? Check out the Lynyrd Skynyrd list. ZERO netiquette
there.
<Spiff> yep
<Gazpacho> man the Sabbath list was savage
<Ernie> now that i think of it.. there hasn't been a kx digest in a while
<Spiff> it's been going for a couple of weeks, i think
<Tempus> the Styx list is pathetic. just a bunch of 40 year old women
drooling over Tommy Shaw.
<E-Man> LOL!
<Ernie> haha
<Tempus> it's the fucking truth :)
<Tempus> and it's pathetic
<Happe> Temp LOL
<Tempus> the King Crimson list (Elephant Talk) is a bunch of uppity music
snobs debating whether punk is aesthetically correct in the world of prog.
<Tempus> I fucking hate that list.
<Ernie> temp: me too
<Ernie> all they're reviews of G3 were "Robert Fripp was great, but all
those other guitarist were horrible! I couldn't stand it"
<Tempus> Ernie, I KNOW! I was thinking "Please, get over yourselves, you
almighty and righteous Crimheads."
<Tempus> the NMS (Rush list) is just a bunch of people drooling over the 3
guys, talking about hoser music (Canadian music), and talking about how
fucking superior Rush is to everything else.
<Dr_Mosh> NMS is ridiculously moderated
<E-Man> TNMSers are like the Trekkies of the prog world
<Tempus> E, you said it!
<Dr_Mosh> you know, honestly, ytsejam is one of the most open, dynamic,
psychotic lists out there...
<Spiff> temp - how would you describe ytsejam then?
<Gazpacho> I love Lars' posts they are fucking hysterical
<Dr_Mosh> I think ytsejammers are real cutting edge too... compared to
dino-prog...
<Ernie> the jam is fun
<Ernie> annoying at times, but overall fun
<E-Man> like the Tick. :)
<Dr_Mosh> how can you compare any other list?? they don't have Bafu!! eheheheh
<Ernie> who gives a shit if there aint no DTC
<Tempus> I'm going to post a little part of this conversation to the jam :)
<Tempus> I hope you all don't mind :)
<Tempus> this is a bit relevant :)
<E-Man> not at all
<Dr_Mosh> I want royalties Tempus!!
<Tempus> Mosh, well, should I make the check out now? ;)
<E-Man> the main channel is fair game for posting, logging, etc...
<Dr_Mosh> :)
The only worry I have about this post is if the list is going to reject it
for it's sheer size. ;)

If it were only that simple. Alice was Alice onstage, but nothing like
that at
all off-stage Alice Cooper was Vincent Furnier's on-stage persona. Alice is
now a born
