    >Kizer? Madden? Who's the one posting about the Fates Warning tour
    >dates?
I didn't see Kevin's post before I sent mine, but we both got the info right
from Metal Blade... so they should be the same...

    >I need to find an accurate, definitive source for this information,
    >since the rest of my summer is going to pretty much be dictated by this tour.
The dates are supposedly very firm as of this minute (I am still bummed that
they cancelled the two CA dates!)....

    >A). Where do you find out that they're playing two shows in IL
    >(House of Blues, Chicago, and Mabels, Champaign)?
    >B). How reliable is this info?
These dates are as reliable as they can be at this point... I would assume
no major changes to the tour schedule as it is getting close to under way...
Only a few of these dates are listed on Ticketbastard's web site, so I don't
know all of the ordering info for these clubs yet...

If anyone, local to these clubs, can send me the info on them (phone, address,
etc.), that'd be great... I am trying to keep the web page as up to date, as far
as tour dates, as I can... Thanks.

Song #11 on _Ashamed_ the YTSEJAM tribute CD:

    11. Gay Digest

Scrolling through pages of postings by morons
        Feeling my mind digress
I saw Mike Portnoy shaved like a Krishna
        Reading the Gay Digest

Jam is a show of pride that I'm reading
a pile in the shape of some turds
        Inane projection in the inflection
Always the worst use of words

"But he's the sort who can't post anything intelligently,
least of all DTC. He doesn't know what intelligent is.
He posts this as an obsession, something to look at like
a painting or an ivory box. Something to own and to
display. He's not a real fan, but I am. I want you
to play your own music and ideas and feelings, even
when James sings off key. It's our only chance... It's
         our only chance..."
[Sample from the movie Jam With Nothing New]

Until the release I'm trying to read it
        Learning to empty my head
Mike C. is back now, I think I can't take it
as long as we stay on this thread

This is not what I wanted to read
And I'll never post on here again

"...I was gonna post here...umm...something intelligent, something
witty, ummm, but... I go into the jam where I want to post and
they tell me, I'm, I was too dumb..."
[Sample from a documentary on dysfunctional posters.]
"some people, gave advice before, about exposing the fraud,
exposing the imposter. And this is, this without a
doubt, is his biggest challenge ever. He's going to
have to find him. You're gonna have to try, he's gonna
to have to try and, uh, and, and, and get Skadz on here. I mean
no one can say they know who he is."
[Sample from a news commentary about the Merlo Imposter chase.]
"That, so they say that, in ya know like, a Joe Stump song or
something, you'd says it's a hundred and eighty BPM, but it's
         alternate picking.
         At Berklee they say that?
Oh, maybe not. I'm all mixed up.
Alternate until I had the wonder pick."
[Sample from the Conan O'Shredder show.]
"...I get in this jam... Read it. You have your own chat room to
talk in, I don't care what you do. I don't care when. This
jam gets read by Skadz, this jam gets read by nine
o'clock. If you're posting the bad stuff at nine o'clock, then
you'd better find some place to post. Because you're not going to
be a dick on this jam. Digest is ready..."
[Sample from a documentary on dysfunctional posters.]

There's no way to hide my shame
        if I wanted to
        There's little that's on here that's sane
and it's crap to me and you
        There's no one to moderate
        so its anything

        Never e-mail me again
do you really think I need this

I'll never post on here again, I can never post on here again.
I'll never post on here again, I can never post on here again.

And I'll lurk and I'll learn to pretend
And I'll never post on here again
And I'll have no more flames to defend
And I'll never post on here again

Someone else can pen the remaining _Ashamed_ songs.
Here are some of my ideas:

Suck their Cocks - by Mojoman
        ----------------
"Suck their cocks at the Ytsecon..." [4 times]

F*cked in a Trade - by Pat Daugherty

        F*cked in a Trade
        Hated by the list
        For posting this thread
        Reliving the lies
        devised in Al's head

Queensryche is Faded - Any volunteers?
        --------------------
        Queensryche is Faded
        their glory is behind them
        Fans are so jaded
They break CDs done by them

Others (I'm running out of ideas obviously):

Skadzomania (Instrumental) - Chris Ptacek (requires shredding)
Voices - By Buster (defending the voices of JLB and GT).
The Violent Man - By George.Farber (something autobiographical)
The Beer - By Scott Herman (about the drinking game)
Why - By Mike Bahr (something philosphical and esoteric).
Lifting Lyrics off a Boot - By Mike Kizer

[No parodies of the great masterpiece Scarred are permitted]

        And the special bonus b-side:
To Flame Forever - By Lars Hellspawn

    Hello Jammers....

I know 90% of you are probably going,

            "Awe Shit!!! He's back!"

            Well...I am.....
            ....but then again...I'm not...

I realized after a real long vacation from DT, the Jam, the chats....all
that stuff....that I started really anticipating the new album....and
figured the best place to get some dirt...is well....The Jam...

So I decided to swallow most of my pride and re-subscribe....

Hopefully...I'll see some good stuff...get a few laughs from Bafu's always
interesting posts....and catch up on the CD's Senor Barr is making!!!
Maybe once under a glass moon...I'll even post something...but unless you
really piss me off, I don't think you'll see more than some really bland
    commentary....

Anyway....enough of the useless letter....I felt that announcing my
    presense was called for...

            See Ya,

            The Almighty MojoMan

    Hi out there,
I agree with you all DT is a great (certainly my favorite one), but if
you don't know, there are some others bands I am listening to which are
pretty good also and I think that a DT fan must know :

-> Fates Warning (I think everyone here knows that one)
-> Symphony X : A really good band, the best album of the year, I think,
until know (it's called "Divine winds of Tragedy") and I have big
troubles to get that one from the United states (If anyone has a
clue....). It' a kind of melodic, speed progressive metal, with powerful
    guitar and voice...
-> Paradise Lost (wonderful gothic metal, England)
-> Cemetary (Gothic metal from Sweden, a bit less powerful than Paradise
Lost, but really good). I've got the last album (called "Sundown", and
it's wonderful...) If anybody knows the 2 other ones, he can tell me
    about them
-> Blind Guardian : Speed metal from Germany, really powerful
-> Stratovarius : One of my favorite band, also. They are playing very
speed, with a real efficiency and a real technicity... If you don't
know, just check out, you won't be deceit.

    Thanks for any upcoming advice,

    Hi out there,

I'm just arriving in San Jose (from France) for 6 months and I hope I
will enjoy a lot of concert, live pubs and stuff like that...

The problem is that I don't know anything about the good metal location,
places closed to San Jose. If someone can help me, Thank you...

Is there also some good CD store (I found a Wherehouse store but they
don't have a lot of Metal stuff compare to France...)

My recomendation was a brief description on the band. There is really no
way to describe the Torsos music accurately in a paragraph because it is
really diverse. Ok, you asked for it. A full-blown review coming on the jam.

If you have to wait a bit for e-mail from me, I'm sorry. Lotsa
    mail this week. Dunno why.

To reiterate what another Jammer posted: "Contact" is a winner.
The end left me just slightly on edge, which is about what it _should_ do.
    While I'm on the subject...

    Men in Black was funny.
My Best Friend's Wedding sucked. My opinion only. Un-fun. A chick movie, a
la "Steel Magnolias", "Fried Green Tomatoes", "Thelma & Louise"
George of the Jungle was funny, and would have been about 1000% better if
they had left Weird Al's original theme song alone instead of
having those morons from POTUSA redo it!! The part where the
villain argues with the narrator is priceless.
Hercules is a blast, yet the music sucked, unusual for a Disney movie.
Face/off was totally rippin'. Pun intended.

I can't think of too many others right now...
