Make sure this is the 2 CD set, and not the 1 CD version. Both exist, but
one features the word "THE" in the title. I can't remember which one
though. Just make sure it is 2 CDs, and you'll be getting the correct one.

    Hello,
            On the Powerslave question:
    >Does the Wicked World jam refer to the Suicide Solution medley

Actually, in past shows up to the current tour, when Ozzy played Wicked
World, that was when the band used to do some jamming. I forgot to
figure in that Ozzy is playing with Sabbath now, so he wouldn't be
playing Wicked World in his set. I was guessing which song because I
hadn't seen Ozzfest yet. Now that I have, I can agree that it would have
been during Suicide Solution. Sorry KAI for mixing things up.
Ozzy's basist was in fact Robert Trujillio from Infectious Grooves and
a stint with Suicidal Tendencies too. I thought he was good during the
jamming, but most times the bass was too far back in the mix to hear at
    Giants Stadium.

    >I think you guys either don't know your Sabbath, or you're smokin' just
    >a bit too much Sweet Leaf.

Neither. I just spoke before I saw. :)

Buddy, if that's a boot list, do you have it in English?

You're close, but the 1-2-3-4-5-6 shot of Surfing with the Alien,
Dreaming #11, Flying in a Blue Dream, The Extremist, Time Machine, and
Joe Satriani tops it. No disrespect to Randy's memory intended.
Unfortunately, Randy was never allowed the chance at such a streak...

    i'll explain then.

-THE- Dance Of Eternity is from the 3/4/93 show at the Ritz.

the _Dance Of Eternity_ is from the same show as "Dream Out Loud"

btw, i'm selling the Dream Out Loud/Dance Of Eternity discss, so if anybody's interested.

Got anew CD today and i think many of you will like it. It's Marcel Coenen's favorite band: Haji's Kitchen. If you like Alice In Chains type vocals with in-your-face-metal-up-your-ass (that's a direct quote, ladies and gentlemn), you'll love this album.

Place one of the jugs in a nuclear reactor for a bit. After placing both jugs of water in the tub, you'll notice the water on the bottom of the tub will have come from that jug, as it's the heavy water.

Check out "Holy Wars...Punishment Due". It is without a doubt the best song I've ever heard. Lot of cool shit going on in that song (which is what progressive music is...in my book).

Thanks Syrinx. I'll elaborate on this, so our newbie friends know what to look for.

    > > -THE- Dance Of Eternity is from the 3/4/93 show at the Ritz.

2 CD set, A quality, great buy and hard to find now (I hear). Includes (but in no particular order): All tracks from I&W, plus AFIL, Another Hand - The Killing Hand, To Live Forever, A Change of Seasons, Eve (with samples).

    > > the _Dance Of Eternity_ is from the same show as "Dream Out Loud"

1 CD A-/B+ quality - includes all tracks from I&W, however significant parts of TTT and LTL are cut out to have it all fit on one CD. Also includes a great version of Status Seeker (the version that appears on WDATU), To Live Forever, and Pup. Pup is the intro they used to TTT, which evetually became The Mirror. 'Pup' is short for Puppies on Acid.

This description was based on the bootleg Dream Out Loud, which I own. I can't verify that the bootleg _Dance of Eternity_ is actually the same as DOL, but I am taking Syrinx's word for it. If these two are different in any way, or my descriptions are incorrect, please chime in.

I ask about him becuz I grabbed a CD from the library the other day, a 1992 release named "Murder 1" by a band called "Killers", fronted by said ex-maidenite.....

first listen impression: Pretty standard stuff, like a late hangers-on to the 80s cock rock scene....a coupla maidenish touches here and there, but what metal band doesn't have those now and again?

Anyway, is that the only thing "Killers" ever released? And if not, what the heck is dianno doing these days anyway?

OK fine, but that still doesn't change the fact that Powerslave was NOT part of the medley at Ozzfest, and I can't fathom that they would actually have thrown it in during past shows. However, I also can't fathom that Ozzy was playing Wicked World at any of his past shows, so I guess I can't really question it. I mean, of all the Sabbath songs to play, why would he play Wicked World during a solo gig?

I couldn't agree more, however, Randy made more of an impact on guitarists, musicians, and fans in 2 short years, and 3 albums (including Tribute), than Satch has in six albums. Don't get me wrong, I like Satch, but he can't hold a candle to Randy. The man was a genius.

Here are some ads I saw on 'Guitar' magazine that should interest some of you:

What do you get when you combine Terry Bozzio, Tony Levin, and Steve Stevens? Black Light Syndrome. Coming soon from Magna Carta.

Terry Bozzio and Tony Levin?! Ouch!

"The Rite of Passage" , 10 song progressive rock CD by PANGAEA; Producer: Robert Berry. $10 (S&H: $2,US; $4 others) Chek/Money order payable to: Hargadein Music Group; Pangaea P.O.Box 590122 Houston, TX 77259-0122

I think I've heard of Pangaea on the jam, but I'm not sure.

And for those hoping that Ozzy holds on to Joe Holmes, on this same mag, it says that he left, or is leaving, because he became a born-again catholic and didn't want to be associated w/ Ozzy.

And the bassist playing w/ Ozzy is ROBERT TRUJILLO, and dont you forget it. If you want to hear him blatantly showing off, get something by Infectious Grooves, akthoiugh the music isnt that good IMO... BUT if you want to hear him playing w/ taste get Suicidal Tendencies' 'Suicidal For Life'... this is one brutal album.

For the guy who asked about the FNM video that MTV is playing, I haven't seen it, but it's probably "Last Cup of Sorrow," the first single from the new "Album of the Year" disk. I must admit, I picked up the new disk fully expecting it to suck aside from the single and I was blown away!! A lot of the critics seem to be saying the same thing based on what I've read so far. Seriously, this baby has about 7 tracks that have big-time radio potential and they are all as good as, if not better than, "Sorrow."

Someone also recently asked about the openly gay member of the band <OK, it's been a while and I'm behind in responding to E's too> - that would be Keyboardist Roddy Bottum <rather appropriate name I thought>, but don't let a little homophobia keep you from picking up this album - I like it more every time I hear it and those of you who caught my earlier post know I loved it from first listen!!

You did, but I was refering to a different project under the same name. I wonder if this progressive rock Pangaea has any idea there's a world/dance Pangaea. Hey, if two Pangaeas and two Superiors can coexist, why can't two Majestys exist? (rhetorical)
