I feel so rude. I had nothing to do with it, I promise. Some one was nice enough to e-mail me the new DT song, and I got it, and then my puter had an attitude problem. First, Netscape hiccuped, then Windows packed the Uhaul and left the state. So, I lost the address and name of that Saint who sent it to me, not once, but twice. Who ever it was, thank you, I got it the second time. I owe you, all that. DK

This is a message about love. Don't ask me why I send it to the Ytsejam, but you're a bunch of people that I feel most closely related/associated with. My girlfriend, with whom I've been really mindbogglingly serious for the past three years, is thinking of dumping me because she doesn't think she loves me enough; she want to the UK for six weeks and found out she didn't miss me as much as perhaps she should've (doesn't sound unlogical to me, as she was constantly occupied with a lot of people and seeing the sights, etc.). I am in serious need of some pep talk or I'll go nuts. We're not seeing each other for the whole coming week, which is unprecedented except for those six weeks in the UK, as we usually spent almost every night together. We almost lived together, only in two separate student 'dorms' (mixed). There is no other man involved. She says she still loves me. What should I do, whilst still maintaining my distance and given her space and time to breathe and think things over? Thanks for your time. Sorry for the NDTC.

The new FNM "album of the year" is awesome!!!! IMO, of course. You're going to get a lot of mixed response to this one, but I absolutley love it. I wasn't too keen on KFADFFAL, so I didn't know what to expect with this one...all I can say is Mike Patton has one of the best voices out there. There are some great jems on this CD. I love the whole first half up to #7 a bunch, and the latter part is pretty damn good too...

    >2. Megadeth... I wasn't really into these guys for a long time >but I pulled out a couple of the CD's the other day and realized >that I missed all the teeth gritting stuff.

Supposed to come out Tuesday!!! Wohoo!!

I've heard two songs- "She Wolf" and "Disintegrators" from a "free" CD that I got with a comic...actually I *only* bought the comic for the CD...

Heavy stuff. I also hear there's some varied stuff on the album. I haven't heard the single "Trust" yet. My radio station in town plays it on regular rotation (according to a friend who's heard it 3 times), but I hardly ever listen to radio anymore...

Tuesday Best Buy will have "Cryptic Writings" for only $11.99...can't beat that.

Testament's "Demonic" CD comes out on Burnt Offerings on June 24th (a week plus 2 days)...

Gene Hoglan (ex-Death) on drums in the studio. No James Murphy, but I've heard that the guitars are heavy on this one...sort of a continuation of "Low" but heavier...

Instead of emailing Jason privately, I figured most of you would be interested in knowing that I do have a complete list of every single gig that DT has played (including all the Chris Collins and Charlie gigs). This info came directly from Mike P as I'm working on a project for the official web page that lists every gig they've played *including* the setlist!! While I have everything all set to go, there are a few things that I want Mike to clear up before I send the final list to Jeff Chew to format for the web page (which is gonna be quite time consuming). This will take a while since Mike is busy in the studio as we all are well aware of. However if anyone wants a list of the dates (no setlists at this point - I wanna make sure *everything* is correct), I can send you that. Anyone interested email me.

I really don't understand this, but I already got the new Megadeth from a record store. I got it on Saturday, June 14. And I live in Puerto Rico, which is part of the U.S. I don't get it, but, hey, I won't argue. It rules. In addition, I'm listening right now to the live broadcast of their concert from Friday night. It's still archived if you want to listen to it. You can go to where it's at from the Megadeth page. I forgot the address, but I know other people have posted it. By the way, doesn't the soloing on She-Wolf (the end of the song) remind anybody of Iron Maiden? It sure does sound like Maiden to me. Well, that's it. Buy the new Megadeth if you can. Bye!

    jammers-

I hear a lot about groups like Seige's Even, Helstar, Eldritch, and Watch Tower. They are such a taunt because I hear everyone talking about them but they are IMPOSSIBLE to find. My prog collection consists of masters like Dream Theater, Echolyn, Enchant, Altura, Rush, Kansas, Marrilion, Fates Warning, Damn The Machine, Queensryche, and Savatage. These are all bands that one could walk into any cd store and find or ospecial order. While I am out looking for the "hard to find" groups I would like it if someone would give me some names of Prog groups that are fairly easy to find (other than the ones I just mentioned). Please give me some names.....I am hungry for prog! I just ordered Shadowgate "carved in stone" from Tower Rec. I read that a music critic said, " the greatest progressive album that Dream Theater and Queensryche never put out!" I will have to see about that one...thats a bold statement.

    Yeah, here's a prog album:

Metallica: ...And Justice for All!!! Sorry, I'm playin' Quake with that disk tonight...it kicks ass. After I finish the first episode I'm goin' back to Megadeth though....

And Puerto Rico is not officially part of the United States, is it? We have like, a "half-rule" over that island, or I'm just extreemly rusty on my history? What do I know, I'm just a white boy who likes heavy progressive metal. :)

Back to point one though, if that album isn't progressive, I dunno WHAT is...and yes, you sarcastics sons of bitches, I DO have all the DT releases and (soon to be) 3 bootlegs, a Fates Warning, and a couple Savatage albums! :P

Sorry, I had to diffuse THAT remark before 50 responses and a thread started about "Metallica isn't prog, it's alternacrap" and "Well, he really DOESN'T know what prog is, does he?" Or even WORSE! "It's not PROG, it's only PROGRESSIVE!" Could somebody please tell me what the fuckin' difference is between prog and progressive???

Is it like, "trash" is to "thrash"?

    Dream Theater rules!
