Hey guys,
I was rummaging through my old backpack looking for old email
addresses and so forth, and I came across what I think is the title
of the film documentary from which the Space-Dye Vest samples such as
"I can go to the mall whenever I want..." came. I did a yahoo search
on it, too. It's called "The Trouble With Evan" and a couple of web

Now that you mention it, I think I've got it. Not the original song,
but you know the music sampled for Hammer's "Hammertime"? I think
that's it. Hmm.. wasn't another version (or the original) in a video
shown on Beavis & Butthead? Where these rap chicks are repeating
"push it.."? Maybe. Salt n Pepa (or similar) was their name I think.
Anyway, I also remember thinking the repeating guitar line for "Until
It Sleeps" was lifted when I first heard it, too.
Finally, I've got the definitive link from the Loaf to the DT. Follow
me here. Meatloaf & Tim Curry were in Rocky Horror. Curry starred in
the TV adaptation of Stephen King's It. Echolyn refers to "It" in
their song "Settled Land" (off As the World). Echolyn opened for
DT for a few shows a while back (like in 95 or something). There ya
go. Do I get extra points for venturing outside the music genre?

I think the latest word is that DD should be getting a big shipment

Checked out the new Buttryche sound clip for Sign o' The Times. Yuck!!
What's up with that vocal melody in the chorus??? The begining and
end of the clip aren't too bad but that middle section makes me
sick to my stomach.

It seems to be sure that Enchant will be the support act for the three DT gigs in Holland! Enchant planned a warm-up gig in Kleve, Germany on the 17th before they start their tour with Threshold the next day in Oberhausen. Since these dates and the DT dates just fit perfectly, it was a MUST to support DT.
Another hint for everyone interested: Get your tickets NOW. I bet these shows will sell out in a heartbeat!

Regarding delays in receiving stuff from RAM - I just read the ad in Metal Edge and it said that they hold personal checks for three weeks. This added to not having it in stock may have been the cause. Just a theory - don't quote me on it.
I have to find Dragon Attack now. But, I've spent enough on CDs for the year and I have to save up for the upcoming QR and Fates albums, and eventually DT (let us hope).
Regarding the topic of cows, anyone have the first Galactic Cowboys album? It opens with a deep bellowed "Moo." That and it's a cool album over all.

So I went to the orientation meeting at the Colorado State University college radio station (KCSU 90.5 FM) for volunteer DJ's. It was pretty kewl. The manager said they need volunteer DJ's desperately, and that it would be great idea to make a proposal for a specialty progressive rock/metal show and that I have to make an hour-long tape of typical material and give it to him. Any strong opinions from experienced jammers about key, highly representative tracks from the best prog rock/metal bands to put on this tape?? (DT will definitely be featured).
KCSU is a completely student-run station; it is one of the most powerful college stations in the country (10 000 whatevers - most college stations are 1 000 to 4 000). PLUS, it is one of the few college stations on the INTERNET - so, if I get on the air some of you jammers across the planet can get it over the 'NET!!!
This could be a pretty neat diversion from the drudgery of grad school!!

It's actually "Last Time IN Paris". Apart from the "Ford Fairlane" soundtrack, it can be found on the "Another Rainy Night Without You" Mega Maxi CD along with "Suite Sister Mary (live)" and "Eyes Of A Stranger (live)". As for favourite Queensryche B-sides... Ever heard "Real World" off the "Last Action Hero" soundtrack ? It was later released on one of the "Bridge" singles. Really great song.

We (TOD) were confirmed by MOJO (Dutch Promotor) that the tickets for = the upcoming three concerts of DT will go on sale next friday ! = (07-03-97). I was at Tower records the other day and they had all their Japanese CD's on sale so I decided to look through and I'm a glad I did. In there I saw a CD of Blind Guardian called "Imaginations From The Other Side" so I grabbed it. For you European jammers, BG cd's aren't available here so this was a special treat for me. God am I glad I bought this CD. The only other CD of theirs I have is The Forgotten Tales and I thought that was good, but this one blows TFT away completely. Plus it has a bonus track on it "The Script For My Requiem" (extended demo version). Hansi Kursch is quickly becoming my favorite singer. Especially the way he sings Beyond The Realms Of Death on the Priest Tribute; which brings me to the other thing....
I recently got both Priest Tribute LP's (vol. 1 & 2). For those who don't know, in the rest of the world outside the USA, Legends of Metal is in two parts. Vol one has 12 songs and vol 2 has 14 songs. I'm so glad I never bought the USA version or I'd be one pissed off Incubus. If ANYONE wants the tracklist of the UK Priest Tribs please email me privately and I'll give you any info I can.

not too rare at all actually, its done by a company called kiss the stone, and they have a web page, which you can order this and a few others (mind control and dream out loud) from. http://www.kts.it/ they really do a good job on their stuff, i'd rather buy from them than some shitty company that couldnt care less about the outcome of the project and just wants the quick cash from real fans. if you want a boot, this is where to start :) ~Rip
