     Greetings! 'Jammers.

I bought JLB's previous band---Winter Rose--- official album today. It's
nice one. He sings very cheesy song with his high-tone voice. like
"Dianna.........Will I hold you in my arms again? Diana What am I gonna do?
I wanna make love to you." What do you think about this? Yeah, He's great,
man. I don't know whether this album will be available outside Japan, but
worth checking. This one remeinds me of good 80s. I can't believe the fact
they couldn't deal with major label several years ago.

    Winter Rose (1989)
    1. Asylum City
    2. I'll never fall in love again
    3. Rough Boys
    4. Dianna
    5. One last time
    6. Never let me go
    7. My time
    8. Nothing but the best
    9. Saved by love
    10. Thrill of the night

Yeah! I love 'em,too! Sava rules!

     Well,other concept album?
     I think I don't need to mention about QR's "Operation:Mindcrime". Heavy
Metal verion of "Clockwork Orange" Don't you think that?

The second one is "The Crimson Idol" by W.A.S.P. The main instrument of
'tage's "Streets" was piano/key and that one on this album was guitar. The
theme of this album is the same with "Streets".

The 3rd offer is Viper's "Theater of Fate". Maybe you don't know about
Viper,so I'll tell you something about them. They're from Brazil. And main
songwriter/vox. was Andre Matos (now ANGRA). And this album is their 2nd
album (the last with Andre). The concept is the daily life on the streets
    in Brazil. Very melodic one.

These 3 discs are worth getting. If you don't like 'em at all, I'll
    apologize about that.

Someone told about HG,so I'd like to say something about them.

THEY'RE CRAP! SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMEONE ELSE!

They're just the lame Judas Priest. And their live performance was
terribly shit! Well,I got free tix for their forth coming show. Does
    anybody want this?

Btw,to someone bought new Whitesnake album, let me know about that. I heard
cupple songs from that album, but those songs are a bit
adult-oriented---Michael Bolton-ish,every each songs are AOR materials?

    Hi All,

        Carlo> and grooowing :-)

Well lets see here. Ties is in Paris (hello Ties) and I am in
Hamburg. Let me try and make you more jealous with some concerts past
    and future......

ManOwaR, Rough Silk, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Solitude Aeturnus,
Morgana Lefay, Scanner, AXXIS, Iced Earth, Nevermore, Jag Panzer,
Lions Share, Angra, DREAM THEATER!!!!!, Conception, Threshold,
Enchant, Psychotic Waltz, Rage, Virgin Steele, Superior, Grave Digger.....

Ok I don't want to tease people in America since I used to be one of
them that never got good concerts. And I had to move over here to get
    all the great stuff!

Carlo> P.S. I'm STILL waiting for that damned HELLOWEEN tour that
Carlo> was supposed to hit the US..or was I dreaming 'bout that

Damn I should have asked the guys the other night. They were all at a
concert I went to. I am not a huge fan so I didn't try and talk to
them but I did recognize them (as did a shit load of other people in
    the audience).

Theres a hole in the sky...hole in the sky-y-y: Black Sabbath song covered by Overkill????

    New CD's I got:

Paradise Lost- As I Die- I suppose this one belongs on the metal list. Nothing like the new Paradise Lost- a lot heavier with death metal vocals yet with it, is still the eerieness.

Metallica- King Nothing- Alls I wanted was the single and I love it. The only other songs I like on Load are Until It Sleeps and Ain't My Bitch. This is backed with a live version of Ain't My Bitch and it just goes to show, once bands are on tour, they don't change what they are going to say for that night. At the beginning, James is shouting, I wanna hear you guys scream..we don't give a shit. But they did the exact same thing at the Metallica concert I went and saw a few days ago and this was recorded in August of 1996. Ah, f..k, who cares

Billy Corgan sitting on a drum case staring at the little tiny TV screen watching the Portnoy lesson video. Perhaps he's taking up prog drums;) LOL....it amused me.

That about sums it up. :)

    Here's another one:

Marillion: Brave. About a girl who simply chooses to say "Nothing." Very good and wonderfully melodic.

(I dunno if this one counts) Extreme: III Sides to Every story. It is divided into three main parts and each part represents a persons attitude toward life. I've always thought of it as a concept album. Doesn't really tell me a story, but I can't really explain it otherwise. Whether or not it's a concept album, get it anyway, it really rules. Good guitar, pianos, violins, cello solos, Gary Cherone's majextic vox: it rules!

chuck just mentioned brave, but i'll mention it again. IMO, the best concept album ever written and recorded. Another one though, that i dont think has been mentioned, is Iced Earth's The Dark Saga. I heard a few cuts from it, the only thing i'd like to see changed is vocals, they shoulda got pete steele of type o negative for it. but it still sounds pretty good. its based upon the Spawn comic series, so if you like senseless graphic violence and gore you may want to dig into it just a little more ;) ~Rip

Whilst I was waiting for Rush tix (which I got 15th row for) I talked to a guy who went to QR at San Jose (the one that was on the radio) and he said out of the 16,000 seats that were available only 4,000 people showed up! They were going to cancel the show but since it was set for a live broadcast they played anyway.

So finally an example where radio actually was good for a band.

Any ACCEPT fans out there? I was at a cd store and got a used copy of "Staying A Life." It was recorded in Japan in 1985 but didn't get released until 1990. If you don't have any Accept albums and wanted one to get this would be it. It's got a lot of the classic Accept tunes and it's live.

Hehehe, that was Yngwie J. Malmsteen. Maybe some Europeans who speak English as a second language tend to write dumb lyrics (of course, not all of them), for example read the lyrics from Accept or Scorpions, in some way, the lyrics are dumb (I have to admit that I like the music).

    And what about this:
