People have talked about how awful a frontman Charlie Dominici was, but it
looks like James needs a little work, too. Check out these witticisms
    from _Lost in the Sky_:

"Yeah, all right, Milan -- let me hear you. Yeah, well, it feels great
being back here. Last time we were here we got the same reception. This
one tonight's even better, thank you. All right, well, we're gonna move
on, all right? How many people out there know about the album 'Live at the
Marquee'? All right, well, this one's off 'Images and Words' and this one
    is 'Under a Glass Moon'."

"Thank you very much. I gotta tell you people something, you people
definitely tonight here are one of the loudest crowds we've played in front
of over -- well, in here -- Europe. You understand that? 'Cause I didn't.
All right. We're gonna move on here, at this point I'd like to introduce
you to Mr. Kevin Moore on the keys."

"All right. Well, we've been in Europe now for about the last month
touring throughout and we've been playing this song, you might have heard
it on one of the many bootlegs over here, all right? We're gonna play it
for you tonight, all right? This one's called 'To Live Forever'."

"Yeah, all right. We're gonna go back to 1989, When Dream and Day in --
Unite. And a little further, even, after that. But check this one out,
all right? This is 'Only a Matter of Time'."

"Thank you very much, Milan. We'll see you in '94 with a new album, all
    right? See you!"

"All right, Milan. Thanks a lot for coming out tonight, all right? You
made this one great. Thank you once again, people. We'll see you in '94,
all right? With a new album, we'll be back. Take care, see you. Come on,
let me hear you! Thank you."

I'll refrain from further comment, as I think these really speak for
    themselves.

Yeah, the all rights get kinda annoying, but I'm sure that's the way he talks in rl. People do that kind of stuff when they have to speak in front of large crowds. It's a natural nervous disorder. When ever I talk in front of large groups I use "you know?" at the end of all my comments, you know? I try to keep it under control. It's just tough. You just have to learn to be an actor. Either that or it's an extended version of the obsequious canuckian "Eh?" :)

Never purchase anything from a mail order company called THE RIGHT CHOICE. The company is based out of New York, advertises in metal mags and guitar mags, and says they've got a wide range of products. Well, first I ordered a package in August of last year. I got it in November, _three months later_, missing $58 worth of my order. This was replaced with a credit voucher. Their selection isn't as wide as it appears to be. So, in January I decided to use the $58 voucher and get some stuff. I sent out an order of over $90 on January 15th of this year. I GOT THE PACKAGE TODAY!! Yeah, it took over 4 months for them to ship me my stuff, and I didn't even get everything I ordered. This time they gave me a $16 credit voucher to cover the losses. I called them about a month ago, and the customer service person acted like the company had never heard of me. Oh yeah, they cashed my check in the beginning of February. On top of all that, on the order form there are certain prices for shipping and handling. I paid $8.50 in shipping and handling for this order. Counting up the stamps on the box they sent, I only see $2.30 worth of stamps on the side of the box. Since this wasn't sent express mail, I don't see any reason for them to have charged me $8.50. As far as the product quality goes, the shirts I ordered are professional and authentic. My package had 2 DT shirts, a Queensryche shirt, and an Anthrax video. The video has photocopied packaging and is a HIFI dub. Great quality, but not authentic. I'm sending them a letter of complaint and a bill for my lost $16 and my lost $6.20 shipping and handling, I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and I'm thinking of posting this e-mail in several music newsgroups and bulletin boards.

BOTTOM LINE: THE RIGHT CHOICE IS A RIP OFF!!!

Something cool happened today, while zapping through my music channels I saw almost nothing but good videos!

In less than an hour I saw all these videos (on three different channels, VH-1 Viva 2 and ONYX):

Animals "House Of The Rising Sun" Doors "Break On Through To The Other Side" Chili Peppers "Under The Bridge" LedZep "Stairway To Heaven" Eagles "Hotel California" Chili Peppers "My Friends" And a real early Stones song (don't remember the name)

There were also a few other not so bad videos that I can't remember.

    Hi there

One of my favorite albums is Satriani's self-titled album, but not because of the guitars but because of Manu Katche's unbelievable drumming (Of course Joe's great too). He is now one of my absolute fav drummers and I wonder if there is more recorded material with him (there has to be).

Nathan East plays the bass on most of the songs on that record and I kinda like him too. I think I've seen him in the latest Phil Collins video (can't remember the name) and playing with Eric Clapton on a TV concert. Is he just a session bassist or does he come from some famous band that I should know of?

I think round two of the Rush remasters are out this Tuesday. Which will include MP, Signals, GUP, PW and HYF. Plus the 80's retro will also be out too. Then in July the Live CD's will be reissued with ATWAS and ESL with the missing songs put back in.

Buyer beware! I would imagine that MP will be released at a frontline retail ($15.99-$17.99) like 2112 was.

The fair's once a year and costs about $6 to get in ;-)

Seriously though, this is done because they have a hard time getting Japanese to buy domestic CD's because they can get imports for less than their own locally manufactured cd;s. So to try and get them to buy domestic product they offer bonus tracks. This isn't always the case, but a lot of the time it is.

Hi all, I know this is NDTC, but I just got the new Queensryche, but for some odd reason, the CD was recorded under the name Conception and the CD is entitled "Flow". Actually, I know they are not QR, but the new Conception CD (which I got from the best mail order company in the business, Dream Disc) is just what I wanted the new QR to sound like. It's a cross between all of the QR albums from "Rage for Order" to "Promised Land." It's uncanny how much they sound like Queensryche. I also got CDs from Stratovarius and Elegy. Anyone into Dream Theater should get "Visions" and "Surpremacy." I also got a CD from another good prog-metal band, Tad Morose. Seems like the prog-metal community is flourishing right now! Can't get any better than that.

Now for DT content: Any new word on the possibility of DT opening for Queensryche? I'm going to the Jones Beach show and would love to see DT play a bigger venue than Manhattan Center, Limelight or Malibu (where I've seen them).

    Take care, Adam Perkowsky

And where does the "country" have any relation with his question? The other person is that used the old convention (but not right, but who cares) of calling the people from the United States as "American". But strictly speaking, we have:

    - American: anyone that lives in the American continent (be it North America, Central Americal or South America);

    - North America is part of a continent. Not a continent itself.

(That one's my favorite. :) Yeah, James was apparently pretty bad as a frontman back then. But I think that time has taught him well. Maybe it's just me, but he seemed a lot more comfortable at the HftH and Fix shows than what I've heard on earlier boots.

I hate to pick on just one thread (as usual) but no, no, no! ;) On the inside cover of Alanis Morissette's liner notes, it reads, and I quote, "All music composed by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard. All lyrics by Alanis Morissette." Also, in the thank you's, she describes Ballard as her "spiritual brother," so I don't suppose he's just some guy churning out music for a lot of female artists. Also, he's not _just_ a songwriter -- he produced the album.

Just thought I'd add my $0.02. :) If I'm incorrect about any of this, though, please don't flame me too hard. :)

James is NOT (how specific do I need to fucking be?) a United States of American, so he beats the shit out of Geoff.
