Personally I think, for those who subscribe to the digest form of the
'jam, there should be un-subscription information as well as the web
address for the DT FAQ in conjunction with the 'End of YTSEJAM Digest'....
It's not a whole lot of lines worth of information so there's not much
waste in bandwidth...most people's sigs are larger than all that anyway...
is there any way for this to be possible, or am i just dreaming?
I think it should be a part of every mailing list...for those people who
were accidentally subscribed and don't know the rules, etc...and for those
who deleted the welcome message...

it was put on the back-burner after serveral name changes and that Poison

The NMS (not generally a model to be copied, IMHO) does precisely this, and I
always thought it was a good idea. Then I ran across a list that has this
stuff *first* and thought it was an even better idea. Hopefully our kind list
manager will take this into consideration someday... like, while he's mailing
me my tapes. :)

Sure, but keep in mind that if someone already switched to ack
mode, then s/he has read the introductory message (and knows about the
FAQ existence, that it is possible to get older 'jams etc).

Both of you are correct since odor and odour is the same word, but odour is the 'UK word' and odor is the 'US word'. There are a lot of words in English that are different from country to country, so please don't start to correct litte things.

Hi
Some of you think, that FII is not complexe or progessive enough !?!?!?! Do you know why ?
Because the huge presure from the record company to make an album which has to sell more than the albums before.
How long should we wait until (after 1 year), the record company allowed DT to record their new album. I'm sure DT had to make a compromise with Elektra.
Look at Genesis :
Their new album is awesome. But a total flop (especially in USA). Why ? Because super star Phil Collins has left the band and they are now prog again. It's a shame. Calling All Station is really great.
Anyway I love FII and I just can't wait to hear Metropolis II and all the other songs which aren't on FII (Where Are You Now ?). Trail Of Tears, Lines In The Sand, A New Millennium and Hell's Kitchen are some of the best DT songs ever.
------------------- BTW, my top 10 albums of the week :
1)Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity 2)Jean Michel Jarre - Zoolook (24 bit digital remasterd) 3)Genesis - Calling All Station 4)Royal Hunt - Paradox 5)Enchent - Wounded 6)Dream Theater - Seven Wonders (CD-ROM) 7)Fates Warning - A Pleasant Shade Of Gray 8)Yngwie Malmsteen - Insperation (2CD) 9)Arena - Pride 10)Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene (24 bit digital remasterd)

Ahhh...I feel much better now. I'll only be 33 this winter, and I have still managed to stay childless (they're great, as long as you can send them home with their parents at the end of the day). I see so many younger folx on here, I just had to ask.
>What did you listen to when you were growin up?
I grew up listening to a lot of the "FII Influence groups":
Queen - First LP I owned...Night at the Opera. Completely wore out the grooves. Prophet Song was my favorite. Elton John - Captain Fantastic and the BDC, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Yes - Fragile...eventually Drama became and has remained my favorite Kansas - Point of Know Return - Had this one on 8-Track! Styx - Cornerstone, Pieces of Eight Journey - Infinity, Evolution
I was also really into Kiss (hey, I was 13 when Alive II came out...everyone had it!) , Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous (love those dueling lead guitars!), ZZ Top - Fandango (great live performance) and Pat Travers (Making Magic, Heat in the Street, Crash and Burn).
Feeling younger everyday!

Maybe, i think its just coincidence, and cheap one!!! The strange stuff, very strange and bizarre stuff, is with Pink Floyd and their Dark Side of the moon playing a as a soundtrack for the wizard of oz
Now thats very strange!!!

Well, you indeed can never know. If you judje by WDADU, I&W and Awake, than the solos aren't improvised. All of the solos on those albums (Well, donno about Awake - never heard it live) are pre-written.
BUT, FII is different, remember?
And for a different subject:
There's this song called "Caught in Alices 9 Inch Tool Gardern" which I never got a chance to listen to. Can anyone point a URL where I can find it but NOT on RA stream?
Thanx in advance,

Just to add to someone's query....yes, I feel that ToT is the best song on the album....I am a sucker for the instrumental part. Anyways...just one thought....someone mentioned a sort of Xanadu feel to it....I think the intro has more of a Seal feel to it(can't remember the song, but it was off his last cd). Just my opinion
