Right. You wanna see "Ytsejam," pick up WDADU. Then hear it as well :)

Personally, I'd get a kick out of seeing the next album contain
    something like:

"To all those wanting thanks on this album: WE MADE, IT WAS *OUR* HARD

It's about the music, you spoiled little fuck!

Maybe, but I think it has to do with the fact that the place sells piss. Oops, I mean warm beer. But don't listen to me, a little 18 year old adult, who would never break a bullshit law. It would undermine everything my country stood for. Or, like something. :)

FII went gold in Japan, and sold 23,000 copies on the first day of release in the US. Commercial radio actually IS picking up on it in the US (finally).

    Hiya There,

The Type O Negative version of Summer Breeze is several years old, coming off of their Bloody Kisses album. Peter supposedly likes pop and easy listening and really doesn't like the music that he plays (same for Slayer, which I can totally understand because everybody and their mother hate slayer). They cover Cinnamon Girl on October Rust. Amusing stuff.

Anyone heard the new Savatage album yet?

Anybody know wher I can pick up a copy of When the Sour turns to Sweet by Echolyn, I love As the World and am desperately seeking their new disk.

I believe that Sanctuary's bass player played on Dave Mustaine's side project (which is is decent if you can get past the horrible vocals by Fear's "singer" and substandard lyrics by Mustaine, one song is almost nothing but a list of cities that Megadeth has toured!). He's a fairly decent bass player, but I can't stand his bass sound. The disk is a must have for all Mustaine fans because he plays some stuff that you would NEVER hear on a Megadeth disk (ie some country licks played at mind-numbing speed), but if you don't drool over him I wouldn't advise picking it up (Marty friedman's solo albums on the other hand..."

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this already, but I checked out Billboard's site to see if DT was still on the charts, and they are no longer listed. That must be disappointing. Just one week at #52, and then nada.

Also, I checked out the tour dates at http://www.cnotes.com/cnotes.artists/dream.html . Has anyone been able to contact the person running this site to verify this information? I tried emailing them with no response. I hope these are true, because that would put DT within 60 miles of me for the very first time.

Though the way DT has always toured, then these won't be true and they won't come anywhere within a 300--500 mile radius from me. :(

This is my first post to the Jam, so I'm just going to say a few things I have been thinking of for the past week. I love FII, just like all the rest of the DT albums. I consider DT a prog band, don't you? FII sounds like they have progressed. It still sounds like DT, but different from their earlier stuff. I also think FII is an attempt to sell a lot more records. It seems that whoever is responsible for picking singles doesn't know what the hell they are doing. If DT wants to sell tons of records, release Hollow Years as a single. Every time I listen to this song, I think "this could be huge". If DT plays St. Louis, it better not be 21+. They could get a large crowd at the Fox or American Theater. Having so many shows +21 is a big mistake, in my opinion. Just my $.02. Look, we dont need people like you telling those of us that are under 21 why we cant get into these shows.

Wait, I forgot...Why is there a 21+ age limit? I just dont understand. Maybe its because Im 17. Silly me, maybe Ill just have to wait till I grow up to understand the wisdom bestowed upon adults.

Sure, Im 17, but it doesnt mean Im a moron and that I dont love Dream Theater enough to want to see them live. I already have, actually, when I was 14. I wasnt too young then...

About all of you venting your frustrations about recognition (or lack of it) for Ytsejammers, I want to ask you a question. Are we members of this list for the recognition, or to talk about the greatest band on Earth? I personally think that recognition would be nice for all of you, but if you don't get it, then it's not the end of the world. I admit that I'm fairly new to posting on this list, and I didn't know about the ACoS petition in time to sign it. However, I certainly would have loved to put my name down, not for the recognition, but to get the album out. It's just my opinion.

OK. Here's what I am looking for in the import/bootleg category. I am ordering 7 wonders and spinning years from Ryan, so anything that's on those discs I will be getting. I am looking for duplicates of any Mike Bahr CD not on 7 wonders or spinning years, the lie single, a tape of any of the shows from 1995, any of the instrumental CDs minus the one which starts off with Afterlife, and I think that's all. here's what I have to copy for you. Silent Man single, Milan 93 boot and Fix for 96 prividence show, which I got as a copy so you may not want that from me, but I would copy it if I had to. I am trying to expand my collection, so be fair. Also, I am blind and traveling to find padded envelopes may be tough, hell I have hard enough time getting people to help me mail stuff as it is. I will do what I can, but I would really appreiate the help of the Ytsejam who has done so much for me already. What do you guys say? D-man, come on, I know you have some of this stuff, you have to. We're buds, right? Help me out. BTW, anybody who wants to copy sound-board quality boots of Rush, Yes, Genesis, or ELP shows, please help me out, OK. In the Rush camp, I own Red Barchetta, and RushHour, the original one from 1974. As you can see, I am not great at finding good bootlegs. I like good sound quality with my bootlegs, so that should help. Please, help me, please!

I guess that is right - I have never thought of techno in that aspect, but yeah - this is probably true - why should we let anybody down because of the music they like or they don't - they do feel the same about us - don't they? Of course we do think that DT is the best band in the world (I do!!! - who minds?), but what do they feel about their music - the same!!!
