Well I just got back from a little road trip down to SLC (isn't it =
convenient that the last confirmed date is the day before the alleged =
SLC show). While there, I purchased (with my scholarship money d'oh!) a =
Crate GW-30R amp and an Ibanez RG470. This setup rocks all over my =
Crate 15r/charvel setup. I never realized how cool chorus is... anyway, =
while there, I picked up a DT Awake tour shirt, and a DT wallhanging. I =
was wondering if anyone else had seen this. It's kinda like a really =
big hanky with the Lie single cover on it. acts like a poster but much =
cooler. anyone have one of these?

It's already been re-released. It came out September 16. It would most
likely be under TSO or the Christmas section (ask the clerk to find it for
you...they gotta be good for something :).

Yes, I can actually hear the sound of a TV screen. It is a very high-pitched noise, and not everyone can hear it (kids are more likely to be able to hear it than adults). Normally it is obscured by background noise, but if it is the only sound in an otherwise silent room, it is VERY annoying. To see if you can hear it, turn your TV on with the audio muted, and eliminate all other sources of noise. If you hear a high-pitched whine, that is the sound of the screen.

Yay, the Gathering are still together. I had not heard from these guys for so long that I was wondering. Great band.
Can't say I like Tiamat much, though. I have WILDHONEY, and while it is so incredibly atmospheric, with the first four tracks working together almost like a DT style long song (and the reason I bought the album), I still find it a bit too ... "doomy," for lack of a better description. Slow? I'm not sure. I find I don't listen to the album that much, even though I loved it at first. I'd probably sell it to anyone who wanted it. Lowers your risk.

But you see, you missed my point. I actually liked SLTS when it came out. I really dug Nirvana back then. I was looking at the way the two songs were written, to compare how they show their emotion. I was just looking for simple song and that's the first that came to mind. I think they're both good songs, but LtL is better crafted, thus giving it a greater lasting effect. (I can live w/o SLTS, but i still need a does of LtL every once in a while)

Kevin is still God for me, but I must admit, Derek is able to keep up. The piano on this album certainly sounds much more natural than on ACOS. His soloing just smokes! It's too bad that they don't make fanatically correct synth tab the way they do guitar tab. I'd snap it up in a sec, even if I'll probably never be able to play it.

Not just a TV, I can tell when almost any electronic thing with speakers is on... kinda a high pitched whine almost to me. I dunno. Yes, I've always been able to tell if a TV is on nearby too. To tell you the truth it is a really annoying gift especially when I'm not watching it! It's a high pitched noise - hard to describe but definitely there.

Personally, I say yes, they are. For one, they do not degrade with play as tapes do, plus they have a better recording quality than a cassette. If you want a good acssette deck, you're goimg to pay about $250 for it. A MiniDisc recorder costs ya about $300 for the cheapest one, which is still better than any cassette I've heard. Plus a MiniDisc is re-recordable. You can delete and re-record any track and not have to re-record the whole disc. I've only seen Sony make the componant systems, but Aiwa has a shelf-system out. SOny has three component MD decks out, coming in at $300, $500 and $1300. The $1300 model being the ES. The $500 model has an extra optical in/output. I hope this helps ya out!
