I have bought some days ago a cd from a band called Empty
tremors.......(italians).
Hey...they are very cool,my favourite prog's band after DT!!!!!!
The title of the album is Apocolokyntosys.
I think that they have a great personality....not copy DT or FW.....very
melodic.....good voice.....great changes of time.....
The second is a cd from Pictures....a Musea production...is good,the name
of the cd is Painting the blue.....

After downloading/streaming to all but two of the new songs, this is a
GREAT new CD !! Jammers being a really picky bunch may try to place
this in-between this DT album and that DT album, etc., but guess what ??
Being in-between I&W and Awake (for example) is a great place to be !!
It may or may not be their best, but that discussion should be left for
at least a few months. PS, ToT and LitS are really DT at the top of
their game. And from my crummy speakers on the PC I dont think that I
hear any annoying drum-trigger sound.
My nit picks (with qualifier that I dont care about lyrics): Indeed it
is hard to believe that WAYN was not included. Without having to
identify which song it should have displaced, my least favorites at the
moment are: AL, TAMP and YNM. And, I really wish that they hadn't
chopped up BMS because I consider HK to be a bit out of place and a bit
drawn out on its own.
A hearty dose of congratulations (and some disgusting Jagermeister to
the drummer) for avoiding two words on the new CD = SELL and OUT. Even
with KS at the helm. I'm sure MP could kick his arse. Ugh, my bad.
Being from Massachusetts, I dont want to hear about Helms ......
There can be some lively disagreement here and there but lets face it,
almost no one here has uttered or even implied those nasty viscous
words. In this day and age, this is unbelievable. There should be
hefty praise emanating from the jam and I dont really see it to the
degree that I had expected.

Hi all,
First, I'd like to know what is exactly Seven Wonders ?
Is there anyone who can describe to me what sort of music is Enchant?
I really love heavy prog and melodic music mixed, I love DT (of
course!), Angra, Vanden Plas, The Gathering and I'd like to discover
new bands (for me). I'd like something melodic, with clear voice (like
bands mentionned). Can you tell me some bands like that?
Another thing, I was the first who talked to JlB attitude. I don't
want to start a fight between the Jammers but I just want to say that
Jlb said cleary that he wants DT to become the new Pink Floyd.
So look at the cover, listen to some music in FII, he is right. But I
like Pink floyd, and I LOVE DT because it 's not Pink Floyd, It's
completely different of all bands in the world.
If I want to listen to something close to PF (pink floyd), I just
listen PF!
But I'm not against JlB, I just say he has changed his way to think.
Why talking about Angra ' selling less records than DT, He's not a kid
no? I thought the most important was to do their own music (without
talking about Yes PF or Angra).
I love DT and it's my favorite band forever as much as JlB is the best
singer. Maybe I don't understand his words.

Actually the ideal would be to just mutter some incoherent words into the
microphone...you know...not only improvise music but words as well. They
could call the album "Imagining Words."
Or better yet, how about being the first prog group to introduce the belch
and fart as part of the prog arsenal?
Wow, I can almost hear James hit that high belch right now.
Or the best yet, have them make a 50 minute song about social chaos with
nothing but "vulgar" words. I can see it now. Dream Theater's new album:
Social Chaos -- I. Fuck II. Shit III. Asshole IV. Damn (this is the
ballad) V. Hell (this is the uptempo number) VI. Potpourri (all the other
"good" words thrown into a 10-minute slam-your-face-to-the-ground grove
with James' first rap).

A question I have that I have been meaning to ask for a while
now, I don't know if it has been asnswered before, so here goes. Am I
right in saying that TLF was recorded during the I & W album sessions ?
Since I got the 'Lie' CD single it has bugged my why the song wasn't
included on I & W, I think it would fit perfectly in between 'Metropolis'
and 'Under A Glass Moon', wadda you guys think ?

Hmm. Last ytsejam was sorta useless. Is there some kind of contest to see who can cut down David Di Tivoli the most in a single post? If not, maybe some people should lighten the fuck up? I don't know if anyone else may be impressed by that rubbish, but I know I'm not. Let's stick to cutting down Dream Theater and every other band I love, instead of fighting with ytsejammers.
Does anyone have concrete information, or a URL or ANYTHING about this show in Baltimore with 700 prog bands? I'd really like to go, but if there's no word on it, I'm not driving to Maryland.
My band now has about 9 songs written. I'm in the process of arranging some parts, writing lyrics and solidifying the overall form of each tune, but this means we should have samples available shortly! Anyone interested in getting updates about the project, e-mail me. I won't spam about it anymore until it's all recorded!

Try selecting Rock or Metal. FII was definitely listed on my update at least a week ago, maybe as long as three weeks ago.
D-Man, I think we need to create a shelter for the few like us who haven't heard any of the new album yet. I'd rather be suprised by it, like you said.
Anybody care to hazard a guess as to when we'll finally see Met pt. II on disc? Late next year sometime would be my guess....*sigh*
One more thing: Mike Bahr (or anybody else who knows about CD burners) -- what's the going rate for a burner these days? I'm kind of interested in picking one up so I can start making a few compilation CD's (example: the "epic masterpiece" CD, with Shadow Gallery's "Ghostship," DT's "A Change of Seasons", Symphony X's "The Divine Wings of Tragedy", and Magellan's "Storms and Mutiny").
Patiently awaiting next Tuesday (what a month! Sleeping Beauty this Tuesday, FII next Tuesday. What's next?)
