Hey guys! I got the APSoG video the other day and I must say I am =
impressed. They played the song so well, it's just incredible. Mark =
Zonder is a beast. He makes everything look so easy. By the way, he =
also looks quite like a beast behind that drumset. He's either a very =
big boy or his drums are really small. All of the members of the band =
played perfectly. I really don't mind the images they show between the =
parts of the song or the changes from one show to the other. Actually, =
is the music from different shows or are the images from different =
shows? Or both? Anyways, it's well worth the money. And to the guy =
who thought CDNow said it was 1:55 long, what the info on the page said =
was that it was one (1) - 55 minute song. I guess the dash they put =
between the 1 and 55 might confuse some people. That's it!

Have they been mentioned here before? Their samples at Kights of the Round
are very interesting (I've not been to the band's own site yet.) Very
Fates-ish - not your typical progressive metal cliches. The singer sounds
like an EXACT cross between Ray Alder and James LaBrie.

Isn't Mosh pushing these guys as well?

    Thougts? Let's discuss.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That means that the closest DT will have come from here for this tour is
Boston (5 hours) and Toronto (6 hours)! This so totally sucks! Oh
well, I guess I'll have to take a nice drive to NY to be able to see
them again... Anybody from Montreal interested? I got 3 more seats in
    my car!

I just wish my boss will let me take 4 days off...

    Take care all!

    Steph =:)

Thought of the day: second biggest country in the world, and only one
visit from DT... No wonder it is falling into anarchy! Teehee!

Okay, not to knock the band or anything, but why does Arizona keep getting
looked over? Isn't Phoenix one of the BIGGEST hard rock/heavy metal cities
in the country? They're even getting good radio airplay here. This just
    doesn't make sense to me.

This is going to be way more than you needed to know, but the only time I
have ever puked from drinking was when I was drinking and playing drums at
a party in high school. I don't know if there is any definite connection
between the two, but I'll never drink and play at the same time again. My
current band might have scored an opening slot at one of the biggest frat
parties of the year in a couple weeks, so we'll see just how much will
    power I have....

Alas, once again DT is going to play the House of Blues.
Too bad it is 21+, and I am only 20. This time, it could be
difficult making it to the Galaxy Theater in Orange County.
It is over an hour farther from Santa Barbara.

MIKE! DONT PLAY AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES!!!!!!!

April 6 for Europe and June 22 for the US. I'll probably be ordering

I've heard quite a few people say that a good solid drummer is hard to
find. And I think that it's because of a drive and determination
factor. The truth is, to be good at what you do takes giving a lot to
gain a little, and drums are no different than any instrument in that
respect. There is also a lot of the physical aspect involved. I
remember a time about a year ago when I stopped playing for about a
month, and when I got back behind my kit, my legs and ankles started
wearing out pretty quickly. I never did that again. To constantly get
better, at least for me, what a person should always do is believe that
whatever they've accomplished is not good enough. Because then a person
is always taking that extra step, putting forth that extra bit of effort
that it takes to get so much better. :)

I know I probably sounded like a hopeless alcoholic, but that's not the
case. I do enjoy drinking while I'm playing, I like that fine line
between the great head buzz, and the drunken state. I like to stay
right between there. It lets you still be aware, and also makes you
more uninhibited. Right now I play in a cover band, and most of the
stuff is 4/4 with little difficulty, so drinking isn't really a factor.
I wouldn't advise drinking when doing more technically oriented songs,
that's just common sense that I wouldn't want to stumble behind my kit
to start playing "Scarred" or "Take The Time." I guess it's up to the
individual to find their sweet spot on the drinking scale, or not drink.
One of the guys in my band rarely drinks, and that's fine with me. I
just enjoy it, and I've found my limit as far as drinking too much, and
    still playing with proficiency.

Okay. I'm going to consider Music Man guitars . . . now, where can I find them? Or B.C. Rich's? I know the latter are cool, because my friend has a Warlock II and I've played it. I just haven't seen anything but the big brands when I've gone into a music store lately. Also, I just received a Carvin catalogue in the mail. How are their guitars? Sorry for all the questions, but I live out in the boonies, and we have very few music stores where I can actually experiment with different guitars/gear to get a better idea of what's what. I still know *very* little about gear, other than what I already own.

Hey, Philly-area 'jammers!! Anyone going to that show coming from the Allentown area? We could meet in A-town and go from there . . . I don't think my parents are gonna be too crazy about me driving down to Philly on my own, but whatever. This *WILL* be my first DT show. I am determined to get there, no matter what. If anyone has any ideas, wants to meet somewhere, or whatever, let me know ASAP!!

As if you hadn't heard enough of how fucking amazing Liquid Tension Experiment is . . . This album ROCKS!! I've been listening to it in the car and at home all week . . . How they did *THAT* within *ONE WEEK* is beyond me. That's talent for you. And Petrucci's solos are killer on this one. I can't listen to it enough . . .

    That's all for now, gotta run . . .

    Hi allm

Alex> God bless you, Jason!! I actually had some time to do some Alex> netsurfing today, and checked out the site (gotta give you Alex> props for the great site, too, my friend) and downloaded all Alex> the mp3 samples that you have there. Can you say, I MUST Alex> OWN THIS CD!!! It's the first I've heard from Blind Alex> Guardian, and I will not rest until I have it in my grubby Alex> hands!! This is some seriously good shit. I can't type Alex> anymore, I am just freaking out over here... lend me a Alex> helping hand, get me Nightfall on Middle Earth :)

Ah seems I have made another convert to the ways of Elf-Metal *grin*. Thanks for the compliments on the site I work on it together with a good friend of mine in Portugal names Pedro Andrade so I can't take all the credit for myself (I wish I could *grin*).

There will be yet another edit version of one of the new songs ("Nightfall") on the page on April 7th along with the new cover art (which is mighty cool I might add!). Make sure to check it out at:
