Maybe you should volenteer then, since you have your degree from the
Ytse School of Really Cool Music. You can then teach people what
    real music is.

"The Longshot" discovers what the Universe is for and why it

Dave was refering to the show on Long Island..
It was unbelievable. At the end of Big Wreck's set, DT came out and
jammed to 'Voodoo Chile' by Hendrix, then at the end of DT's set
BW came out and jammed to 'Rock & Roll' by Led Zep!
not only that, DT finally played 'Trail Of Tears'
So, yur not the only one lookin for this show.

You sure his name wasn't Brian? I can't imagine that there were *two*
drummers at Hofstra a couple of years ago that both knew DS and both got
backstage at Malibu. That would just be too freaky.

I have seen info online at the official DT site stating they the guys
are going to play the Chicago House of Blues on May 13th. Is this date
accurate? I called the House of Blues and they said that they do not
have Dream Theater booked in the near future.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Did anybody else happen to hear the snippet of "The Mirror" that was
played on the Howard Stern show this morning (4/10/98) at about 9:10
    Central Time?

I thought that was pretty cool. Prehaps DT should try to book an

    their popularity!

    Great news for American proglovers!
(I took the news from the Progressive Rock Scene Newspaper - 10 April 1998)
    *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
    Empty Tremor have a great
challenge going on at the moment.
    Magna Carta is considering to
    distribute 'Apocolokyntosys' in
the US. Rising Sun is doing a
good price for Europe but it's really
sad to know that US friends have to
pay so much for Empty Tremor's
debut album. So if you are living in
the US and interested in our music,
soon you will have the opportunity to
buy the album in the US, for the
    same price as in Europe!

Not yet, but I read a big article in the latest HM Magazine about it.
Doug Pinnick also sings U2's "I Will Follow," as well as former
Tourniquet frontman Guy Ritter and former Tourniquet guitarist Gary
Lenaire (as Echo Hollow) covering U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
Grammatrain's Paul Rorabeck covers "2112: Overture." I am really
interested in hearing this, but I haven't yet.
Also, on a Tourniquet side note, they have released a live video
(with their new bassist) you can order from the band for $20. E-mail
me for the info. I haven't seen it yet, by the way.

    Hello Jammers....

I Just acquired a really good quality video from the Beacon Theater show in
New York City on 11/22/97.....They do Scarred , many new ones, and the
highlight is Nightmare Cinema doing "Perfect Strangers" in the middle of
Metropolis ! If anyone wants to trade for a copy of that or other things e-
mail me with your list for mine...
I also have extensive Queensr˙che, including a great sounding 2 cd set from
the 7/9/97 show in Minneapolis I attended, when I met the band backstage
before the show....Talk about sentimental value ! Talk soon ......

    Tom

(I'm not sure if the screamer growls this or not, since I can't
understand most of what these death metal singers sing). :-)

Hey all. My school acct is slower than all hell, so I'm using my soon-to-be permanent one.

In a word, yup. When Ken and I tried to get tickets for the Seattle show last year, the local ticketbastard lady said that her computer didn't list either the band or the venue. We were confused until we mentioned that it was in Seattle, not Houston. She said that we would have to call Seattle long distance to order the tickets (and pay with a credit card). We wound up ordering them online instead.

However, ticketbastard doesn't even show DT as being listed yet. Looks like the dates are REALLY unofficial, and we'd better wait before we get too excited.
