Try Sunset Tattoo. It's probably the most famous. It's right on the strip,
or at least little after it (if you're heading east). It has a
heart-shaped sign out front. That's where a lot of rockers in the 80s got
their ink done (Motley Crue comes immediately to mind). In fact, if you
watch the Dr. Feelgood video, you can see a snippet of the Sunset Tattoo
    heart-shaped sign burning in flames.

    Hi all Jammer-type individuals...

I apologize in advance for the tenuous DT connection here, but since I've
noticed that this list also tends to function as a forum for fans of the prog-
metal genre in general, with an emphasis on DT in particular, I thought I'd
share with you the monster take I hauled in at today's record show in Wayne,
New Jersey. This was without a doubt a day spent in prog-metal heaven, thanks
to the fine folks at Sentinel Steel and JART Music.
Things didn't start off particularly well when I saw that Bob Wolf of
"Sights and Sounds," a good friend and excellent source of progressive rock
CDs, was absent from this month's show, as he was from last month's, but I was
pleasantly surprised at the presence of a tall guy in an Angra shirt, standing
behind a table full of *extremely hard to find* progressive metal discs. I
mean, we're talking stuff that I've wanted forever, right there in abundance,
all right there before me: Black Jester, Conception, Kamelot, Elegy, etc.,
etc. I stared in amazement alongside my friend Adam and then dove eagerly into
    the bins.
When I came up for air, I clutched the following: Black Jester, "The
Divine Comedy" (a great Italian band that for some reason insists upon keeping
their weak singer, though I'll admit the guy *did* improve considerably on
their last album); Eldritch, "Seeds of Rage" (the bits I heard from this
sounded a lot like DT meets Superior; Sieges Even, "Life Cycle" (one of this
veteran German outfit's older albums, and from what I've read, one of their
best); Skylark, "The Dragon's Secrets" (I'd never heard of this Italian band
before, but was intrigued by the fact that this one's got choirs, harps,
strings and everything including the kitchen sink--no one goes quite as over
the top as Italian proggers, IMO); and Watchtower, "Energetic Disassembly"
(their first album, finally available on CD--happy happy joy joy!). I had
wanted to purchase the two Kamelot albums he had, but held off because I
figured I might find something else I wanted more...
Which I did at JART Music's table: ah, at long last, "Twilight in
Olympus," the newest opus from Symphony X (for my money, the best progressive
metal outfit this side of Dream Theater), and Vanden Plas' "The God Thing,"
which I'd wanted since reading all kinds of wonderful things about their
performances opening up for DT on the European leg of the "Falling Into
    Infinity" tour.
I wrapped up my purchases with a very nicely shot Dio video (Philadelphia,
June 15, 1997) and -- YES!! -- the brand new Stratovarius 2-CD live album,
"Visions of Europe," which I got for the unbelievably low price of only $36.00
(a good thing, considering how much I'd already spent at the Sentinel Steel
    and JART Music tables!).
It was a very good day, my fellow prog-metal mavens. Just thought I'd
share. Anyone out there familiar with Eldritch and Skylark? I'd like to find
out more about them. Thanks for reading all this, and for any and all
    responses.
        Take care, everyone...

Andre Matos from Angra also tried out, but it seems that Steve Harris
    wanted and got an Englishman.

in fact Nuno is very busy right now, he'll do 2 shows in the next week
somewhere in the UK, he recorded some guitar parts and all the bass played
on suze dimarchi (nuno's wife) new album which is goignt to be released
soon by sony, she was the singer for baby animals....
in one month Nuno will start recording his new solo album, mike mangini
will be recording with him, it seems that this album is going to be less
alternative, more heavy and funky...still with vocals i think.

Yes, there is. Go to www.atlantic-records.com. :) I'm not on the list, but I happened to be browsing around the record label sites today, while updating my music pages (PLUG PLUG...the music pages are getting quite close to finished...the DT pages are up! :), and I happened to come across her little area....\

Yeah, he finished the contest in 4th place... Which criteria has S. Harris used to choose their singer? I find it highly biased to discard such talented people such as A. Matos and M. Kiske to offer the position to someone who really has a shorter range than me.

And this *doesn't* mean I'm a good singer (in fact, I admittedly suck when I'm singing).

If you understand Co-op, you will quickly see the money saving potential in this note.

Ask yourself - Is your company getting the best possible price for printing without sacrificing quality? If I could show how to save money, by using the power of Co-oping on almost all your printing needs, would you give me 10 minutes?

I would like to introduce you to the company I represent ---- "National Printing Co-op" (NPC) printing@netsvoice.com

We are not printers, but we represent over 70 different printing manufacturers, and have been doing so for over 25 years with our parent company SMBF Printing Consultants.

The way NPC can save you big dollars on most of your printing is by using our ever growing data base of others with a printing needs. We combined those printing needs into groups of similar categorizes (Such as paper, size, weight, binding, etc...) and then present them as one total job to the best suited printer. This in turn increases the overall volume that is presented to the printer which lowers your per piece price.

That means more savings and an increase to your... BOTTOM LINE!
