Well, considering the nightmare of God we just went through in an attempt
to get tickets from Ticketbastard for Spock's Beard in LA next week, I
doubt you'll be able to get the tickets in the Bay Area. You'll probably
have to rely on someone in LA, unless Ticketscummaster allows you to
purchase the tickets over their web site. I despise that company, and wish
there was someone out there that could compete with them and put them out
    of business.

No DT for us in May, anyway, since we're going to have visitors that week.
Everybody else have a good time.

Nicole, methinks you need to use a larger spacer between the sections of
your .sig, or use a | instead of a colon. Read this left to right and you
    get:

Nichole Stachowicz McWatters: Assistant Editor of Dateline Kirby on
irc.dreamt.org, a student publication of the Undergrad Professional
    Writing Major University of Houston-Downtown.

Dateline Kirby? Cool title. That Professional Writing Major University of
Houston sounds pretty cool too. :)

that would be Jon Oliva on Streets. They've since gotten a new singer,
Zachary Stevens, whose voice is a lot less gravelly. Personally, I think
Zach is the better of the two, but Jon has his strengths as well. I'm not
in tune enough with my friend the internet to point you toward mp3s, but I
can recommend (HIGHLY!!) Dead Winter Dead, and Handful of Rain...those are
both with Zach, and he is PHENOMENAL.

    Dateline 10 April 1998... :)

Earlier today, my friend Stacey was listening to 98Rock radio in
Baltimore, MD. While the DJ, Colleen Carew, was talking she heard some
music that she thought sounded like LTE. So, she called the station and
actually talked to Colleen and asked, "Hey, was that Liquid Tension
Experiment that you were playing before?"
Colleen said, "Yeah, it was," seeming surprised that anyone could
spot it. she went on, "Yeah, my husband picked this up and said, `Hey,
this is really cool. You should take this into work and play it under one
of your spots because they'll never let you REALLY play it!'" So,
    apparently she did.
She asked for Stacey's age and where she lived, and complimented
    her on her good taste.

This, of course, is the same girl who located another Japanese
Awake CD for me to replace the autographed one that was STOLEN! :') <She
STILL won't tell me what she had to do to get this.> I even got Mike
<thanks, MIKE!>, James and Derek to autograph it after the 3 Jan 1998 DT
show at Jaxx in Springfield, VA. Now I just need the Johns' autographs to
    make it complete.

Any other "sightings" of LTE on otherwise corporate radio?

That would be my suggestion. You can usually get better prices from the
Laser's Edge than most stores anyway (Superior-$12, Symphony X-$15).
Hasn't someone said that Symphony X is on a major label in Europe but has
no distribution in the US? And Superior is on Noise...and we know how
good of distribution they have here in the US. The only thing I ever saw
from Noise in a record store were the Helloween "Keeper of the Seven Keys"
albums. Actually, scratch that...recently I've seen Stratovarius
"Visions" (2 copies in Record Service for you Champaign-Urbana jammers) as
well as Gamma Ray "Somewhere Out In Space," but I already had the albums
by the time the store did.

I just spent incredible 1=BD hours....

There was a Yanni concert in Finnish TV, and 'cuz there has been some talk
about him on the jam, I decided to check it out. I had only heard one of
his CDs before, I thought it was good, but nothing spectacular. I also
recorded the gig with my computer to try if it could handle such thing.

After the first song I kicked myself into head for not taking the whole gig
on video... luckily I got everything from song 2 onward... on one word the
gig was INCREDIBLE. I rate this experience as high as hearing Learning to
live (and DT)for the first time. This guy is just incredible... and the
other guys in the band weren't bad either...

I just wanted to tell everyone who hasn't checked this guy out, or has but
    hasn't seen this concert...
GET YANNI LIVE AT TAJ MAHAL AND CHINA NOW!!
It blew my mind, and might blew yours too... Now I just need to get Live at
the Acropolis somewhere, it should be great too.

Why the hell indie and ska? Why why why?? I just don't get it. Those
shindigs they feel obligated to throw every once in a while in the Sunken
Gardens would actually be entertaining with other MUSIC!!! - Yeah, at
least we're somewhere near a major city. Nothing can beat my "commute" to
NYC at home though...ten minutes in good traffic baybee. Not to mention I
have no car to get to Norfolk. So, are you going to any NY/PA shows? :)

Alex (the chick, heehee, who's considering jetting home for a DT show
    between exams....)

Well, that just about blows my chances of seeing DT again this leg. HOB
are real sticklers for 21+. I saw them two times last one around, so I
    guess its ok.
