Since I got the LTE CD it has not been out of my CD player.
I REALY, REALY, LOVE this disk!!!

    So here's a question:

What do the members of this list think about the following:

Should LTE come together again next year
and the years after that to record new album's?

Or should they not do this?

Do you think they can be as spontaneous the next time
    as they were before?

Or is it something that can not be repeated??

    Hi again,

We're here in the The Internet Cafe in Sauchiehall street, Glasgow.

So, the gig in Manchester went really well. They played the other version of the setlist this time which included TTT ToT and starting with ACOS I & II.

There was a really good atmosphere in the hall, as it was very small, and everone was very enthusiastic.

The security guard insisted on taking everyone's entire ticket on the way in, not just the stub, and so I argued with him for 5 minutes to let me keep mine, as it was my third DT show out of 4 when I had got ticket no. 82, - this is my new lucky no.!

Before the gig, we spoke to KJLB and JP as they arrived and I took some pictures which we had developed in a 1-hr place near the gig, and got signed afterwards!

The gig itself was ven better than the night before IMHO
TTT was really good, and the band were quite hyped up, so they did an extended jam including bits of YYZ, Hot for Teacher and others...

In the Metropolis medley, we were honoured to see the 1st UK performance by Nikki Lemons, a true rock star.

Thanks to MP for signing loads of stuff after the gig,
including a drumstick, and my girlfriend Chloe's muppet - "ANIMAL Drummer" T-shirt which he had us wave to the crowd during the drum solo - great reaction.

That's all for now... looking forward to the show tonight, - my ears hurt!

    Adrian

I deleted by mistake Mike's reply to the recent torrid of
sentiment waged against him, but here goes a few things
    that come to mind.

I don't think most ppl on the jam want you to go
elsewhere or words to that effect.
What we as customers want is service and quality
product and this as I see it is not happening at
the moment. $40 for you new DT boot, when Bogie
is offering his for $25 ?
Months of waiting for a CD ?
C'mon if you order a custom made lounge suite
it dosen't take as long as some have waited for
    a solitary CD.
If you were running a legitimate business you would
not have one right now, would you ?
Peolpe would take there business elsewhere, but
because of the nature of bootlegging, your customer's
have no place to compalin to, except you.

If you had some serious competetion you'd have to
lift your game, as there is none, is like it or
    lump it, isn't it ?
So basically Mike, you call the shots and are in a position
of 'power' of these people who send you there hard
earned cash and wait patiently for a CD.

How LOW???! Point of order: those laserdiscs are horribly out of print,
have only been available as imports (and only intermittently) and all
the other bootlegs of them that are going around SUCK. I had been
getting a nonstop flood of requests for boot CDs of these, but I didn't
have time to bother with them, so I turned them over to some friends of
mine who DID have the time. Good luck buying the Exit laser for less
than $100; the p/g laser for less than $50; the ASOH purple-label laser
WITH lock and key on it AT ALL (it's by far the rarer variant). I bought
mine years and years ago; I shudder to think how tough it would be to
    get them today.

    > wrong, no if, buts or maybe's

They may be commercially available where you live, but they definitely
are not here. The only Rush laser still actively shipping to American
distributors is Chronicles. The day that Rush/Mercury/Pioneer does a
re-release of any of these, or releases a DVD of them, I will
immediately stop offering these Crystalline boot discs. Until then, it's
no different than any of the boots that are about b-sides and radio
shows, and that's the majority of all boot silvers, and I don't hear
anyone bitching about La Villa Strangiato, Tori Stories, Mind Control,
or Lost in the Sky. For that matter, I don't recall anyone complaining
about boots like Currently in Vogue, First Vision Under Pressure,
Careful with that Axe Alex, Red Stars of the Solar Federation, Red
Barchetta, etc., and those are BADLY made boot CDs of the videos! One
would think that *perfect* conversions of the lasers to boot CD would
therefore be applauded, not derided. Just my observation.

You'll notice I don't offer the Italian boot "Images & Tour" because
it's a copy of the Live in Tokyo DT video, which IS still available. I
want people to buy the original video, not a boot CD of it, because it
helps the band. But if there was no way to ever get Live in Tokyo in
stores, I would offer copies of that boot CD.

hmm... the CD might be alright, but SYL was quite EASILY the WORST band I'd EVER seen live. They opened up for Testament, along with Victum, Stuck Mojo, and some other band. Stuck Mojo was cool. Victum was a local, but not bad. And SYL was horrible. They were utter jerks, and quite plainly...annoying. It seemed like the whole time the lead guy was telling us to "fuck off," and asking/telling us to tell him/them to "fuck off." It was really stupid and a waste of time.

Their sound was alright untiul I heard their singer. Kinda glammy. Their drummer was insane. Oh well, I'm glad something found something about them that they liked... I didn't find much.

Well put. This is, to the letter, what I was talking about when I posted that first message. One of the biggest reasons it took me over a year to start taking this to a public forum is that when Mike DID reply (albeit this was rare), he seemed so genuinely sorry for all the delays and hiccups that I really didn't want to hurt his business at all. Now, whether those niceties in his messages were real or whether they were just trying to get me off his back doesn't really matter. At this point I have no motivation left to try and do this as quietly as possible. I very honestly do hate doing this kind of stuff, which is why I warned Mike multiple times that I WOULD do it. I just really don't see why he hasn't replied to me or any of the concerns posted here... <shrug> Take care...

With the recent release of Savatage's new record there is a lot of talk surrounding the band. For me this is a band that I will always buy thier albums and after listening to it say "Man they are almost an awesome band." While I must admit they are great songwriters and their albums always have great guitar playing, their rythm section leaves something to be desired. I am a bass player and when I buy an album from a progressive band I expect the bass playing and drumming to be above average. I think it's safe to say that most bass players and especialy drummers would agree that Savatage could use improvement in this area. At least on this album their drummer uses real drums. In the past when they had Dr. Killdrums at the helm they used triggers which sounded so cheesy. I can tolerate triggered drums, bands like Rush, VH, and Megadeth have used them, but the sounds they used in the past with regard to the drums was very annoying for me. In my opinion the best album they did was Edge of Thorns which was free from Jon Oliva's control. He is another reason that I mark them as an almost awesome band. The parts that he has sung on on the past two albums have been the weakest parts. All of this is of course my opinion and subject to flaming if someone so desires. I don't remember calling you a backstabber. But anyways, I suppose I let my emotions run rampant, as I usually do. I guess I should just counter with the fact that if your ethos can change so significantly, and you can go from bootlegs only, to making that step into copies of commercially available stuff, then I don't have any reason to acknowledge making a deal. That's not a deal I'd ever make. And it's not as though this is out of the blue. It's a topic, so I chimed in. Deal. It's all these baby steps in the direction of pure slime. I'm sorry, but when I see multiple people having the same complaints about you, and you always promising to rectify the situation, while only getting FURTHER behind, I have to think you don't care. I have one fucked up, ridiculously late trade (we're talking Bahr-late, here) and I am ashamed for it... but my response is to cease all trading until I can get this done. And this trade was a simple videos for videos deal. I think it's disgusting, and I can't help but to have a reaction.

wow... my girfriend is all excited that sonny is coming back to reprise his role on general hospital, and now i get this! if my say mattered at all, i'd say stick around. i enjoy seeing a new batch of people every few months or so getting steamed with your laughable service--it's like the ytse-soap opera.

<< Can anyone tell me anything about Joey Taffola? I've just heard one of his CD's, Infra Blue, and thought it was great! >>

Well, if you enjoyed "Infra-Blue," which was Mr. Tafolla's *second* solo release on Shrapnel, you'll love "Out of the Sun," his *first* Shrapnel release, which features solos on four tracks from Paul Gilbert, plus outstanding work on all tracks from Tony MacAlpine on keyboards, the late Wally Voss on bass, and Reynold Carlson on drums and percussion. His latest work is found on "The Fourth Judgment," the new album by 80s progressive power metal pioneers Jag Panzer, out now on the Century Media label and available at Tower Records. His playing on this album is simply phenomenal, IMO, possibly the best of his career. In fact, it's so good that it makes me wish the album were longer! <g>

Hope this helps...take care, fellow Jammer-type people...
