Hey there!!!

I once ordered Vinnie Moore's "Mind's Eye" from German Music Express.
When I received it, there were two CD's in the same jewel case! :-)
Also, my version of Metallica's "Ride the Lightning", which is made in
Brazil, has some pages of the booklet out of order (comparing to the US
version).
Some more?
My Running Wild's "Pile of Skulls" album (made in USA) has some typos:
the song "Sinister Eyes" appears on both the CD and the back of the case
as "Sinister Ice". And the song "White Buffalo", on both the CD and the
back, has a "1" after the name, reading "White Buffalo 1". Weird or
what? =)
More?
My Angra's "Holy Land", the brazilian one (I also own the Japanese
one), has recording problems: every CD player I know (except my Goldtsar
CD-ROM on the PC) skips parts of "Nothing to Say", "Carolina IV" and
"Holy Land".
And, to finaly finish it... (maybe there's more, but I don't remember):
My Stratovarius' "Episode" album, in the side of the jewel case, reads
"Stratovasrius". Typos... =)
About Rogerio...
You don't ever finish a sentence, yes, but you say that supposing you
can speak more than two words on the same subject... =)

I've noticed a couple references to Stabbing Westward followed by some positive comments. I have SW's first two albums. Last time I was at Best Buy I saw a new album from SW. I thought the first two albums were great, but for some reason I didn't buy the new one. SW is not DT, so I don't buy SW the moment I see it without hearing a little of it. I'd watch Mtv to see if there is a new video, but I just can't handle sitting through all the crap.
Can someone who bought the new SW album give a review (private email if you like)? I'd like to know if I can afford to part with $12 for it.

...are we getting a new FAQ anytime soon? As far as I know, D-Man gave Pat the FAQ months ago, and we haven't heard so much as a peep out of him (except for his April Fools Day prank) - just wondering.

>VH 3 is growing on me the more I listen. It is actually a very decent cd >in my opinion.
Haven't heard the album myself, but I found the following related info at "Wall of Sound" which certain citizens may find interesting...
>>> Musician Offers Special Swap for Van Halen III Darren Robbins, an L.A. musician who records as Time Bomb Symphony, is a big Van Halen fan. So big, in fact, that when he found himself extremely disappointed in the band's latest outing, Van Halen III, he decided to do something about it, both for himself and for music fans everywhere. "For all of Van Halen's resources, there's no excuse for giving the music-buying public a CD that is as big a bomb as VH III," Robbins says in a statement. "The least I can do is allow music fans to unload a bloated musical pomposity that just lies there in exchange for a CD that was recorded guerilla-style, with virtually no budget, that rocks like there's no tomorrow."=20
With that, Robbins has issued an offer to Van Halen fans who feel the same way he does. Anyone who sends his or her copy of III to Robbins' label, Chequered Requerds, will receive a copy of Time Bomb Symphony's latest effort, If You See Kay, as a replacement. And, as Robbins points out, "The company is even picking up the tab for shipping and handling." More details, as well as audio clips of the Time Bomb Symphony album, are available at the label's Web site (www.chequeredrequerds.com).=20
Disgusted as he is, Robbins says this is not the end of his interest in Van Halen. "I'm still a fan," he tells Wall of Sound. "I think it's to Van Halen's credit that people are looking at III as a misstep, but still calling themselves fans." It looks as though he's not the only person who feels this way. "We're over the three-hundred mark," Robbins says, when asked how many copies of the Van Halen record he's received to date. "Every trip to the mailbox now is kind of an adventure." In the end, he adds, all proceeds from the unusual exchange will go to a good cause, as the label plans to sell its accumulated copies of Van Halen III to used CD stores and donate the proceeds to Los Angeles-area charities.=97Anders Wright=20
If you'd like to trade in your copy of Van Halen III, just mail it to:=20

I heard the wav file of people mover, and I thought it wasn't bad at all. I ofcourse do like more than just prog metal. It'll be interesting to hear them. Their guitar sounds are heavy, and that's what I like. I hope that any of you that go and see DT soon don't boo FOTM, because that's damn inconsiderate. You may dislike them, but others may like them, and they won't be able to hear them if everyone is booing. I'm sure that DT wouldn't appreciate it either. I'm surprised DT can even get an opening band if all the fans do is boo any non-DT sound. It would however be even cooler if Shadow Gallery opened! I just hope you all are respectful, because booing them of stage will probably not bring out DT any sooner, and it will only make things more unbareable. Two things:
1) KC fans - I just bought "Discipline" and love it. What should I get next?
2) I was driving behind a car from Ontario yesterday. While stopped at a light, I had a chance to look closely at the license plate, and it appears to me that the word "Ontario" is written in the same font as the now-retired DT logo. The N looks just like the M would, if it were an N; the T is the same; the A in Ontario is the same A in "Theater" (except that Ontario's A has a crossbar), and the R sweeps under the I the same way the R sweeps under the E in "Dream." Coincidence? It made me wonder, since that logo only came into existence after the band got a singer from Ontario. :)
What would be even cooler is if someone in Ontario's DMV is a DT fan and decided to model the license plate after the logo. :)

Here's an idea for a petition that will really make a difference to the people on this list...I'm dubbing it:
"Petition Against Petition-Sending Morons, Even for Articulate Reasons"
Otherwise known as "PAPSMEAR".
I believe PAPSMEAR's time has come. This is really the 'Jams only hope for early detection of serious malady, allowing us to take action swiftly before any serious damage is done.
I would be happy to put up the Official PAPSMEAR web page. However, I will do this only if there is enough demand for it, as demonstrated by an organized list of people's names and e-mail on a web site supporting this action.
We know return you to the "HazeJam"....
