Still, seeing about six posts in a row with your name to them and maybe three
lines of text that you contribute in each is a little much. Try to condense a
little. Since all your posts typically follow one another, you think you
could answer the "acks" in groups, instead of singly, it's easier on the eyes.

Personally I'd like to see Myung freak and beat the piss out of one of the
security gestapos.. Not only would it make standing at the show easier,
but if timed correctly, would have made me stay for ELP and DP =)
Btw,,,
for a 45 minute set, it was one hell of a show.... Overheard many ppl
saying that they were impressed..

How many times do I have to explain this shit to you people? I am in
bounce mode. Just because the messages from me may appear in a row,
doesn't mean that the posts are in a row. I get over 200 emails a day from
more lists than this. If I had to whip out my braille machine and take
notes, things would start getting out of hand. If you want to procmail me
like a dick, go ahead. But I would love for you to read email the way I do
and see if you can consolidate easily. Go ahead, I dare you. I'll give you
the fucking DOS terminal program, my unix shell account, Pine as a mail
reader and my speech, blindfold your ass, and see what the hell you do
with your email. Bet you can't do shit. Now, get off my dick.

OK, who has the set list for DT and ELP? Oneof my friends worked security at the pnc bank arts center and really got into DT and ELP and I would like to know what songs were played at the show so I can make him a tape of the stuff. Maybe another prog lover will be born. And sorry if this message is only four lines. I could make it longer, but then I may get flamed for that, too. Sighted people suck. :)

Hey Jammers- I have constantly heard the name Rick Wakeman on the 'jam and was wondering what band he played for. Every time I hear his name it reminds me of another piano player Jim Brickman, who I beleive is Puff Daddy on piano. He taks other peoples riffs, plays them on piano, and calls it his own song. Anyway, who is this Rick Wakeman??

Yeah, it sounds like I'll like this one better than the Collection.

Yeah, when I listened to it - I was a little surprised at that. "Black Star" was my favorite off of it.
On a completely unrelated topic: I know this is OLD news, but if you haven't already........ Rent "L.A. Confidential!" I just rented it, and what a great fucking movie!

To be honest, I was thinking of meeting both before (weeks before I mean) the show (if it indeed is a reality) and at the show.

Will he be selling his stuff for 50% off? :-) Really, I'm not that fond of a meeting in a store, but for the lack of a better place (better place = place where I can eat :-) ), that's ok.
Seriously now, I think that the other Brazilian Ytsejammers should send their opinions. I can set up a Brazilian version of Ytsejam on my site, if necessary. It's always easy for me to set up mailing lists.

=09I don't know if there is any truth about DT coming to Brazil, but I heard on "Backstage" (that damn program aired on Sundays) just before they played "The Way it Used to Be" that they'd be coming for MoR this year (when is it going to be? If it's going to be on Sep 12th, then that=20 will be EXACTLY one year after they came the first time -- they played here in Sao Paulo on Sep 11th and 12th last year).
=09Just some nice facts to think about. :-)

I don't know very much about UK, but the song I've heard was cool. It was a more fusion than what I know about KC (well, I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to do my homework on KC, since I'm missing a lot of their albums). I know the following songs from their first (self titled) album:
* In the Dead of the Night; * By the Light of Day; * Presto Vivace; * Reprise.
They fit my definition of cool.

I'm sitting here reading my email from the digest and I can't believe what I am reading. All this shit about Derek vs. Kevin. Do these people have nothing better to write about than this. Alot of what I have seen since joining the digest is complaining, bitching and belly aching. (Mostly about this topic) If this is your way of intelligent communication than maybe you should look for a country music email address because that's about what this is starting to sound like "one fuck of a big country song." Maybe you should play Dream Theater's music backwards and Kevin will come back, you donkey ass mother fucker.
Who gives a rats ass if Derek is the Keyboardist or Kevin is. They are both extremly talented musicians and any band should feel fortunate to have them as their keyboard player. What you should be looking at is that Dream Theater is Five of the most talented Musicians in the world and leave it at that.
All I ever wanted out of this digest was to talk about the music and the musicians that play it (and that means their performances and talents, not their sexual preferences and whether or not Derek is better than Kevin or vice versa.)
Maybe these people should concentrate on acting some what mature instead of dealing with childish antics.
There I'm done my little rant.
see ya.
