First of all, Dream Theater are nothing like any other band in the world!
For that statement, you should be tortured and burned alive. Why do fans
put them to a higher standard? Because they aren't expected to take a

someone posted asking about a new ytsejam shirt. I started working on
one last fall but didn't have the time or money to go through w/it at
the time. Now, I have a little more of both. There's screen shots of the
front and back on my site, and if enough of you show the interest I will
go ahead with a small initial print run and see what happens.

Many times I have read a post saying something like this player is lacking emotion. This is probably the biggest insult you could say to a musician or any artist. When someone says an artist lacks emotion, it is akin to calling him a robot. It also indicates that the artist is making his music for another reason besides the fact that he has a passion to make music.

I frequently hear fans of alternative music say that shredders lack emotion. I don't believe that this is true. I think that some people don't understand or cannot connect with a certain kind of music. Everyone has a different way of expressing himself. Because one person does not like the expression or does not get it, does not mean it lacks feeling. Also emotion is not limited to bluesy playing. It is just as easy to fake a blue solo than a shred solo.

I have always thought of music as a vibe. When I'm jamming with someone, I'm not thinking of my sick aunt, my dead cat or world hunger. Wherever that vibe takes me becomes my music. But that may just be me. I don't really try to put emotion into songs. I kinda hope it comes out because I have a passion to create music and enjoy it. Does anyone agree or disagree?

So in summation: please refrain from saying a musician lacks feeling. Say something like- I don't understand what this musician is trying to do or I don't like it.

Not everyone knows how to turn off MIME and HTML, so all you braniacs should fuck off. Also, Mosh thinks that since everyone knows him, he could be as arrogant as he wants towards guys like Matt and get away with it. Mosh, if you are reading this, i don't care if you threaten to ban me or flame me, but all i have to say is FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE! if you just stopped acting like a know-it-all wise ass, everything would be cool.

    Death Cube Who ?

Oh, that's one of those thingies that psychopath Buckethead plays with. Or something. Yeah well, there was a show listed as Death Cube K which I went to last night, knowing it would be so form of Buckethead appearance. This was at a place called Club Boomerang in San Francisco, by the way. Was it Death Cube K ? Uh... no. Was it Buckethead ? Hell yes. In a nutshell, the performance was Buckethead all by his lonesome... he appeared from out of the DJ booth, walked down the stairway, through the audience of this tiny bar and up onto the stage, slung on his Flying-V guitar, pressed PLAY on the DAT machine, ROCKED DA HOUSE! He played a load of stuff off of the USA version of Giant Robot, a couple of cuts from Colma (on nylon string without accompaniment), various other selections with loads of insanity, while entertaining us with his toys, karate moves, and robot impersonations.

Were there any Jammers present ? Uh.. no. Too bad it was a 21+ show, otherwise maybe that Ptacek character could've gone (since he's in the area visiting his bro). Sorry Chris. :)

    Good day,

Actually, it has nothing to do with Mosh being (or posing as) a computer genius. Perhaps the reason he was wording it the way he did was that he's posted it at least 6 or 7 times that I can remember since Skadz (the list owner) had mentioned that HTML/MIME is unacceptable and will rsult in removal from the list.

I would thank Mosh for keeping people like you on the list (who knows why) by telling you that you're doing something wrong. Fine, swearing usally doesn't work, but the other 7 approaches he used didn't either, and it looks like this way caught everyone's attention.......so eat a dick :)

I'd reply to DT content, but there hasn't been any....... :)

    THE URL IS : http://www.listen.to/best.song?

There you can find the best 500 songs people have vote allready.

A Change Of Season is somewhere in place 350 or so. I've also found, Ytsejam and Take The Time in the chart but far far away from the top.

Let's vote for some DT songs.

We should choose 2-3 DT songs and we should all vote for the same song.

I'M NOT SHURE HOW MANY SONGS YOU CAN VOTE FOR.
