Howdy boys and girls!
I just thought I'd ask anyone out there about the latest Van Halen tour.
The VH Labor Day gig in Somerset Wis. was cancelled, presumably because of
crappy ticket sales. A local DJ even said that they only sold about 2000
tickets!! Have there been a lot of cancellations? If not, have the shows any
of you may have seen had really bad attendance? Any news is appreciated.

I think "Subdivisions" would fit quite nicely into a performance of
"Scarred", the same way "Have a Cigar" and "Enter Sandman" fit nicely into
"Peruvian Skies". In "Scarred", we have a heavy riff based around an F#5
power chord ... played twice before the verse "I never bared my emotion".
"Subdivisions" also has a nifty little riff with that same power chord that
could easily be thrown into the song for a few extra measures. MP, r u

Yeah, after hearing the piano/guitar doubling during the fire garden suite I was
blown away. After checking the linear notes I couldn't believe that Vai played the
piano as well as the guitar. I was gonna commit suicide because my life was so
worthless, then I found out that all the piano was done on a sequencer. Oh well, now
he only has his meager guitar skill to rely on...

How many chicks are on this list? Every girl I have met has heard of DT
through their boyfriend or something like that, of course, I have never
met a real female musician. All I can say is, that is so cool. I would
die to have a girl that liked DT as much as I do. That is exactly what
I'm looking for in the girl I marry, and understanding and appreciation
for the things I love ( thats not the only thing, but's it's up there!)
Are any of the girl jammers musicians? I tell you right now, if I ever
met a chick that could bust out some flam drags on the double bass, I'd
..well, thats kinda personal.

Well I read Mike's little message on his web page. Well what do I do
about the 4 CDs that he still owes me? I never had any problems with
Mike in the old days (even though we sometimes had to wait a long time
for things they always came). But now I have ordered many things and
never recieved them!
And Mike, I did e-mail you and yes my mail server is configured
correctly. Maybe yours isn't! But please e-mail me back since I
would either like my CDs or my money back!

You mean, he didn't write much with Yes, because he's put out more than 50 albums and he writes everything on them! I have at least 32, and still a long way to go! Just recently I read about his 'Return to the Center of the Earth': one of the guest musicians is (saddly for me) Trevor Rabin! It seems that they got along fine on stage during the Union tour, jamming together. Anyway, I don't like TR, so I've lost all interest in RttCotE. --------------------------------- I've received OAN's 'Static Progress' double CD. Excellent condition, nt a single scratch on the case. The liners are clear, neat. Nice photos. Sound quite impresive. The sound of the bonus tracks is better. Someone said that these tracks are from anther boot. Can anyone tell me where can I get that booty? Oh, and delivery, I got my copy about 15days or so after I sent my money (I'm in Australia). It was money well spent! What's this Freebird? It sounds more like Yes's 'Starship Trooper' followed by Van Halen's 'Hot for Teacher'
