Sounds like we can form a support group..."Hi, my name is Debbie and I'm

Since I'm in ack mode, I receive all the headers (some other
people might have said this before) and it really doesn't look like the
posts from Derek are being forged. They seem to be authentic posts (every
    post).

So, we can wonder about something: is Derek's account being used
by anybody else? Humm... (I'm of course assuming that he would NOT play
with such important issues like privacy).

be singing here in Brazil this Thursday. I'd marry this woman if she were
interested in an idiot like me, but since she should have a huge queue of
fans interested in her (that is, the offers should be incredibly
overwhelming), she's got a lot of people to choose as her husband (but
I've been told that she's already married -- well, but I can dream, can't
    I?)

Wow...Magnum on the jam...amazing. If you never heard of them pick up one of their many CD's. Good luck finding them though. It took me about 2 years to finish up my collection. Kingdom of Madness is still one of my all time favorite albums (I say album because I have it on LP...doh!). Anyone know if they are still around? The last CD I picked up from them was Rock Art. I wasn't too impressed with it.

That really is Derek. If you look at the message props, the ones sent by the imposter are typed up using Netscape mail (netscape mail is Mozilla). The ones typed up by Derek are AOL 4.0 mail. There's just no way to trace the imposter through our path because the mail has already been processed and regurgitated by good ol' "thor." If the imposter sent anyone any private mail, please go to File Properties and see what local host the person's using. If you're unsure, send the mail to me and I'll see if it was Derek or not. You can start tracking the person who did it if you don't get a mailing list regurgitated message. Most likely imposter private mail will have been any private messages sent from "Derek" in the last 3 days. that is, if he sent any...

I hope you haven't responded to alot of provate mail, Derek. :D I don't want my mailblox flooded that much either. :D

YES! Great choice. I surprised the hell out of a friend of mine, when he asked "if you could play like one player, who would it be". and I picked Satch. He has fluidity, grace and speed, and he's one of the most tasteful players around. Sure, Joe Stump is faster, Petrucci is more complex, and there are others who excel in certain areas, but Satch has them all covered.

Hey Jammers, I apologize if this is in MIME, I just upgraded to Microso= ft LookOut98.

Well, finally got my copies of FII and APSoG from BMG, only 2 months af= ter I ordered them!! Plus my account is STLL frozen. Yes they're that bad. Anyway, by listening to the demos and everyone's bickerings, I was under = the impression that FII was lamer than the other albums. Boy was I surprised.= I think FII takes I&W, Awake, WDADU, and ACOS, and puts it into one album. = Its AMAZING! Very Floyd-ish and very well composed. I hope (despite past complaints) that they continue to work with Kevin Shirley. There is not o= ne empty space on that whole album. One thing i must criticize though, is th= e use of too many effects on the guitars. Yes it made the album, but hey, thats enough :) It was well worth my money.

As for APSoG, well done! I love the variation of music genres. Parts II and III are hinted with industrial, while some classical appears througho= ut rest. The vocal passages are a little stretched out, but that adds to the emotion. This too has its Pink Floyd elements of it. But I absolutly LOVE the drum passage just past 3:30 of part VI. Now that is cool. I can now c= all myself a Fates Warning fan, and more albums are to come. I love the YtseJ= am! A place to get away from today's monotonous crap!

Ed is a good keyboardist? Hmmmm, let's analyze the keyboard stuff I know. Ed is not a Derek or a Kevin More. Jump? The keyboard solo in the middle is interesting. Dreams. No solos, nice keyboard sounds, though. Bassic chords. Love Walks in, same. Right now. Nice piano riff, but it isn't very challenging. I heard that Ed was classically trained on keys, but I have a hard time believing that and have just kind of dismissed that. Yes, I like Ed on keys and wish there were more keys in VH sometimes, but he is not on my list of top keyboardists.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :-((((((( Where do you have this information ?

Benignus was the man. Mettle Man and Mae Dae are so incredible. The complete Blueprint album is a kind of never ending dream. I love it. As far as I know, Michael Geimer was allready out of the band once in 1995. The best songs on Wounded "Below Zero" and "Missing" are without him. Also he didn't play on the Yes tribute album. Paul and Douge are playing the keys !!!

Ed Platt has left the band early this year and now this :-(((((((((((

Actualy, on the new track "King" Ed still plays the bass. As for keyboards, I don't know but this song is the worst Enchant song ever (IMO). The vocal medloy isn't good. Thr keys are totaly in the background. And the song is only 4:33 min long ! I also know that the title track "Break" is only 5:03 min long !

Btw, Korgx3 didn't you had an Enchant page which was 10000 x better than the official one which still says "The band will record the new album in summer or something". A Blueprint of Web or something ?

P.S. On the cover of "Break", the original Enchant font dosen't exsist anymore :-(

First of all...I'm sorry if anyone misunderstood me. I didn't mean that girls can not be musicians, I think there should be more girl musicians, I was just saying that in my neck of the woods (north Louisiana) there aren't any girl musicians.

thats awesome, every girlfriend I have had has listened, and not liked DT. One of them said she did, but thats just because she knew I liked them so much.

    >>um...what about a Lady Jammer who may not play the drums but understand what that means! or who totally digs a sharp cracking snare?>>

Well, that was my first impression, too. I was totally over the top = after my first two or three listening sessions. But, the more I = listened, it tended to become dull & lame compared to the other albums. = First of all, it's far too commercial. I was expecting a PROG album. = What I got what was only HALF-prog, and HALF-commercial dullness. Tunes = like "Peruvian Skies", "You Not Me", "Hollow Years", "Burning My Soul", = "Just Let Me Breathe", "Anna Lee"... they are just plain tunes, written = before, rewritten with a new band in a new production. The songs I dig = are the prog ones: "New Millennium", "Hell's Kitchen" (or maybe not = prog, but it's darn good), "Lines In The Sand" and "Trial Of Tears".

Floyd-ish? What are you on anyway?

And when it comes to Caveman Shirley - I guess he's a good guy, trying = to do his best all the time, and I bet DT are satisfied with his work. I = am NOT. On my Hi-Fi, parts of FII and LTE (both mixed by the Caveman) = sounds AWFUL, thanks to the production! You say the number of guitar = effects bother you... where are the guitar? What earlier was so dominant = has become so vague...

I didn't really like the producer of I&W, just for MP's snare sound = (yuck! >P), but the rest of I&W is wonderful to hear. A thick, full and = complete sound. AND it's a great album. The "Awake" production is = PERFECT. I.e. it sounds so good it tends to be boring at some times. My = bandmate is over the top when he listens to "Awake", not for the music, = only for the sound.

Put away FII and listen to I&W, "Awake" or Genesis' "A Trick of the = Tail". Now THAT are albums!!!

    Shirley sucks,
