I am not ignoring ANY e-mail sent my way.
However when I get mail asking about an order, unless I can tell them something like "I never got your order", I just have been saving it for the time being and continuing to make the discs. I know this may seem frustrating for people still in the lurch, but the faster I get all these discs done and shipped, the happier everyone will be in the end. Plus I'm taking time to cut the liners (when possible) and include appropriate jewelcasery, because something is only late until it ships, but something that's bad is bad forever. Y'all waited forever for this stuff... I figure I can at least make it as nice as possible now that it's the end of the run.

You know, Matt, you gotta clarify between West Coast blind guy and East Coast blind guy. I am the East, you are the West. People are going to think I did it, although I use DOS too, and couldn't fordge my own name. Long liveDOS and Pine. BTW, I do have pine for win495 and Eudora Pro 3.05 running around my room somewhere, so one day, when all the testing is done, I will be able to use a windows email client. Well, maybe not.

Tacky? Tacky? Tacky my ass. If the entire fan base of Dream Theate begged hard enough, would you continue? I mean, it isn't like you are doing it on guitar. You are doing it on keys. Novelty, if nothing else, kickass at best. I would probably drop dead if I ever saw that. I would probably drop dead if I ever did that. :) But, I think there are a ton of fans that would get a kick out of it if nothing else. BTW, is that on a bootleg anywhere? :)

In addition to the aforementioned Emmett Chapman and various jazz players, a very famous prog guitarist, Steve Hackett, used it as well. Just listen to the "Ikhnaton and Itsacon and Their Band of Merry Men" movement of Supper's Ready, Dancing With The Moonlit Knight, and I Know What I Like.

<< Sounds to me like a woman who is protecting her own interests. :-) Just a hunch -- Not, since I KNOW you are already playing professionally. You go Girl. . . >> ok so I guess I'm a little partial but.. think of this scenario a band gets signed they put out a disc it sell say 10,000 copies and then say 1,000 are sold to a store and then bought again. Now thet is technicly 11,000 copies sold but the record company sees it as 10,000. The band then gets dropped because of lack of sales. So the moral of the story... If you really like a band and want them to continue to make records please buy them new. Thank you for your support. Juli aka Bassgrrl

Hello ! I think that the Symphony X website "The Edge Of Forever" has=20 the touringinformation you`re looking for, go to their site=20 and check it out: www.fortunecity.com/tinpan/wellerville/3/index.html
And if you come across Without Warning`s second album "Believe", buy that too. It`s superb. Might be hard to get as it`s only=20 released in Japan so far, but there are plans of releasing both their previous albums in Europe too.=20

Hi there
Here is an excerpt from the Kevin Moore interview in Metal Hammer (Germany) : Sorry for my bad english but I think you should read this :
<<<<<
I was in Dream Theater for 8 years. At the end there wasn't any musical chalange for me. This kind of music begann to boring me. Everyone was just trying to hold eveything on the top technical level. When we had a good idea which wasn't that complex but good anyway, it has been distroerd with inserting some very technical and complex solo parts. >>>>>
What do you say now ? The fact that FII isn't that complex has nothing to do with Derek and that Kevin is not longer in the band.
I've read an articel back in 1995 when Kevin said : I don't want to do progressive metal anymore. I'm tired doing complex and technical music. NP : Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity (Hell's Kitchen kicks ass)

No. Mike Portnoy doesn't ever post anything to the 'Jam.
Neither does Derek.
For that matter, neither do I.
Perhaps you should look into The Bucket of Truth for your answers.

Pat, there might be many reasons. One of the first things you should learn is that you should use your computer while it is writing anything, because the buffer of the writer/burner should be always full.
> Can I erase this track since it is annoying without screwing the cd up?
Depends on the type of the disc. If you're using a CD-RW disc (unfortunately, I don't know if your drive is able to use CD-RW discs), then you can delete the entire disc and try to record it again.
If you're using CD-R discs, then you won't be able to erase the disc, unfortunately.
> The software I used came with the cdwriter. I think it is called > Easy-CD.
Yes, I know this software. It also came with my drive, but I don't use it. It's a bit subjective to discuss some aspects of some software, but I tend to use Nero Burning Rom <www.ahead.de> to write some CDs.
BTW, do yourself a favour an check out this FAQ about CD-Rs. It's very informative (of course, some things you'll have to learn yourself the hard way, but this document may help you a bit): <www.cd-info.com/CDIC/Technology/CD-R/FAQ.html>.
In the near future, I'll be using cdwrite to make my CDs. :-) Let me cross my fingers. :-) My new Debian 2.0/GNU Linux just arrived today. :-)

Hope this help you, Roger...

This is a pretty cool CD.... hey, weird music is coming back!
> Guillory, your synth lead tone > rocks. I can't wait to hear what you've got on the new DD album.
His solos could have been a lot longer, IMO. But I think he has the right idea IRT the lead sound. But then I would say that -- I hate many of the lead patches that these digital boxes have nowadays. Bzzzzzzzzz!!
> Minus: > Terry Bozzio's drum sounds did NOT FIT INTO THE MIX, in my opinion.
Alas, the drums could have been louder IMO. (But what the heck. That's almost always the case.)

I STR hearing Rullo left in the first place because he was moving out of state, or something.. BTW I jsut saw SX live for the first time in Dortmund last week, it was pretty damn cool, I'll have to say. They sounded great live!! Amazing singer as well, real good stage presence and no off notes.

A SX mailing list. Interesting. Where is it then?

Probably many many more, lurking. Anyway seems I'm in good company! Alas I can't promise I'll read every post here... I've set procmail up to.. err.. weed out quite a bit of.. hmr.. stuff. ;)

I'm not sure what you mean "do the songs one by one", but there are basically two ways to copy an audio CD:
* the first is extracting each song to your hard drive and then record the cd from these files. Remember that if you're copying a live show, you should adjust the software so that it has 0 length gaps between the tracks. This will require that you record the disc in Disc at Once mode (anything else than 2 sec gaps requires Disc at Once mode);
* the second is copying the image of the disc to your hard drive (or, if you've got a really fast hardware and an extra CD-ROM drive, then you can write the image directly to your blank CD-R(W) media) and then to the CD-R.
I usually use the first option when I'm copying audio discs and use the second when I'm copying data discs.
BTW, did you mean something else when you wrote the message?
[]s, Roger...
