Hey Nicole, I'm very intested to know WHICH part of Freebird they
played?
I know the Freebird song from that gig of Lynyrd Skynyrd on Knebworth
festival (??1980??) and they really kicked ass there! Especially the
extended solo parts of the guitarists. MAN, that was somethin!
Did DT play this part, or some of the singing parts?
AND, also about TTT/Frrebird, WILL IT BE ON THE LIVE ALBUM?????
Will there be some others snippets of other famous old stuff?

Well, it's kinda weird result, but I guess you find the answer yourself.
;-) No offense all you Americans, but seems like all the good music came
from Britain. Few elders said it (in my country).
Personally, I can't connect this fact with the rumour about Englishmen.
:-) If those rumours are correct, how can possibly such music to come
out of them? :-)
Er, now to cut the confusion, I REALLY don't have anything again

Another thing to think about. Now OK, we know that eventually all of
this is influenced by African rhythms and music which black people
"brought" in America, but Americans addopted it and started using it in
all different ways. And here's again somewhting weird about the British.
BLUES is 100% black music, but after it became popular, whole bunch of
British rhythm & blues bands appeared and made a mess, great music

Hi,
Mike "The Drummer" asked about "click tracks". A click track is
like a metronome for drummers. It will click in their cans during
recording and help them keep time. I can't stand the things and never
used them when ever my band did any recording. Does anyone know if MP
uses click tracks?

Well OK then...... you MUST check out The Chris Duarte Group's CD,
"Texas Sugar Strat Magik". An awesome SRV inspired blues-shred fest.
They also have another CD, but "Texas Sugar Strat Magik" is far
superior. I've seen Chris Duarte live twice now (the last time was
Friday night, one day before DT's show here in Detroit!), and he really
smokes. Oh, by the way, he's from Austin, TX - just like SRV.

As magically delicious as Microsoft products are, I use Netscape's
e-mail client. I thought about using the help system, but found out that
Netscape logs the access, then posts the e-mail address to its 'Top 100
list of blithering idiots who need help'. This was clearly too much for
my overinflated ego to bear, so I punted and spent the 10 minutes I
abnormally would have spent posting useless drivel (like this post for
example :) trying to figure it out.

I agree with you again. And I REALLY wanted to love it. I think after a few weeks I even convinced myself that it was really good...... but I was lying to myself. It is pretty bad.

I'm not a musician, so it's hard for me to technically describe what I think of the sound quality. But, in layman's terms: To me the sound is so "fuzzy and muddy" on III. It doesn't sound "crisp or clean" at all. Actually, it sounds to me like a (so-so quality) bootleg.
As another note though........ I saw VH for the 3rd time this year (the previous two were with Sammy), and Gary sounded MUCH better than on the VHIII disc. In fact, all the songs they played off III were definitely better live than they sounded on the disc. I also think Gary sang the old Dave/Sammy songs well.

I have this Magna Carta cd. I like it. Its a very good, all instrumental cd. Not as good as LTE though... Bozzio, Levens, and Stevens are all excellent musicians and fit together in my opinion fairly well.
I heard a song on the 98 rock (Baltimore) last night that I'm led to believe was the new KISS song. This song rocked. Hopefully the rest of the cd will be just as good.

Umm, Mike, how about if DT includes coupons in their CDs' -- "Half off of any reciever and speakers totalling $1000 or more" C'mon, if it can't sound good on every system (or at least the one the majority ofpeople have), then why even sell it?
If they want Kevin to produce, fine by me. If they want Kevin to mix, or engineer, or master, then I have a problem.
And, of course, we all know I'm the person everybody has to get permission from to do anything cool. (gag, choke).
