CyberDuke gets emotional again and says:

Going through my old video tapes ... all kinds of cool stuff there ...

And I came to a recording of Knebworth Festival 198X, not sure about the
    year!

I think Dire Straits and Eric Clapton (with Nathan East) are also on
this festival, and also Robert Plant with his band plays, and as a
    finale
invites special guest Jimmy Page on guitar and kick the Zeps anthems
"Wearing and Tearing" and "Rock 'n Roll"!

NOW, there's also Genesis playing "Mama" and "Turn it on again"!!!

Turn it on again is AWESOME!! Why??? Well look at this:

"Turn it on again / Big Medley"

    Everybody loves somebody (Solomon Burke)
I can't get no satisfaction (Rolling Stones)
    Twist and shout (Beatles)
    I'll be there ( ???)
You've lost that loving feeling (??? Everly Brothers ???)
    Pinball Wizard (The Who)
    Midnight Hour (Wilson Picket)

Phil Collins does a great job here, as a singer, entertainer, you name
    it! :)

    Now:
Is there an audio release of these Knebworth festivals?

I hope some of you knows what festival I'm talking about!?!
One of the Knebworth festival (1980??) is famous for Led Zeppelin
special act, maybe one of the last gig with Bonham!

Does anyone have this stuff on audio track?????? Begging you! :)

    Or,
at least someone tell me some good program for wav --> mp3!

Actually, will I even be able to record in .wav 8, 9 minutes of music on
hard disk??? Does wav recording go on hard disk directly or is storing
the stuff in the RAM? That looks like a nasty piece memory needed!
    Anyone?

I would appreciate ANY KIND OF INFO about this festival! Thanks all!

Hey guys, does anyone know thru where I would get my tix for the Birch Hell DT show? I looked at the Ticketbastard page and the concert is not listed... I also tried calling Birch Hill, but they put me on hold for a while and I didn't feel like paying that much for long-distance hold...

Do I have to get the tickets through Birch Hill or what? If so, would it be a problem that I am in Virginia until the 18/19th of December?

    Any answers/advice appreciated!! Alex

Yup. The first four letters of evolution. Next thing you know, you turn your back on her for just a second and *poof!* she has no fingernails. Next turn *poof!* no canine teeth. Eventually she'll just come to the point where she can reproduce asexually and she'll have no interest in you anymore. Spare yourself the pain. Let her go. :D

Nuno Bettencourt recorded his rhythm tracks for "Pornograffiti" in the studio bathroom. I think EVH did some tracks in the Throne Room at one point, as well. Most likely, there are others, but they're the only two that I can think of at this time.

Hello, On a totally irrelevant note, has anyone noticed the plethora of interesting Behind The Music specials on VH1 lately? I watched part of Queen yesterday and there have been some on Sabbath, Metallica and other notables. Just waiting for that Cheap Trick episode... :) Pieter wrote: >It might change a bit now that Ibanez came out >with a 7-string archtop and electro-acoustic.

I find it infinitely humorous how people make the assumption that Ibanez is the only maker of instruments with more than 6 strings (excepting 12-strings). Repeatedly people talk about new Ibanez models and completely neglect the fact that they don't even make the BEST 7-strings, never mind 8, 9, or 10 strings. I've found that Schecter's 7-strings (particularly the EMG-equipped Avenger) destroy any Ibanez RG and Universe. But granted, I've only had about 30 minutes with each to make that judgement. And never mind the 8-string market, which Ibanez hasn't even entered. If you can't understand why someone would need a guitar with the lower strings, pick up a Charlie Hunter and Pound for Pound disc and be amazed. Here is a power trio (granted a jazz power trio) with no bass, just guitar, vibraphone, and drums. Charlie keeps the beat on his 8-string while playing leads and rhythms. Speaking of which, if anyone can recommend a similar artist to Hunter in the jazz vein, I'd love to hear more stuff like this. Guitars with the lower range are not new to music, they're new to rock music. Expand your horizons and you may be surprised what you can discover.

    > Instead of a lower string he tried to put on a higher >one, but he had some trouble with the tension

Yeah, there was going to be an Ibanez Voyager (the Reb Beach model) in this style if I recall, but if you really want this range, just get a guitar with 29 frets (though you can't get those chord voicings Madsman needs). And can someone verify something for me: I remember a Guitar World that gave a tour of Paul Gilbert's collection and he had 36-fret guitars. What make and model were these? I've since been relieved of that issue.

ok I think that this is a bizzare email to send to people that you dont even know. First of all how in the world can anyone have an objection to you dating this person when 98% of the people you sent it to dont even know who you are? Hey if you want to declare your love to your girlfriend go ahead be my guest but tell her and don't involve an obscene amount of people you dont even know. Think about it this way would you openly start making out with her when you first meet her friends? No i dont think so...therefore why would you send an email to a bunch of people you dont know declaring your love? I think you need to chill out tell her that you love her not all of her friends you dont even know!

Oh yeah baby. Ytsejam Re-runs! :) That review was published a looong time ago right after the album was released. Much fervor and whining was spent on this list. And then our good friend Cousin Joey went on a "skiing" trip and managed to book the same resort as the author of that review. Mysteriously the dude (Mr. I Hate Endulgent Music) died of a mysterious bowel movement and never made it out of the resort alive. Police have not confirmed photos of a burly hand holding a knife from the inside of a toilet to be true.

Wall of sound, by the way, gave Smashing Pumpkins and Jewel and Korn outstanding, raving reviews. Just to give you an indication of where these "music critics" are coming from.

I'd think he'd say that Korg had experienced some trauma as a kid, based on the obsession of Wilma Flinstone and the sexual abuse of an extinct mammal. Russians have been producing 7 string guitars from the times of Adam and Eve. I remember a time when a 6 string guitar was a rarity. People made 6 strings out of 7 strings... Wonder why. The tuning is very different, though. I guess it was ADADADA, but I may be wrong here. I'm still hoping to get my hands on a quality Russian 7 string guitar...
