OK, after seeing bunch of movies with him as a composer, I wanna make
    sure ....

Is this John Williams the same guy from the band called SKY? It is an
older band, playing classical music in a most unique way! :) You just
    gotta here it!!!

    Other SKY members are:
Herbie Flowers, Tristan Fry, Kevin Peek and Francis Monkman

Damn, every time someone gets there before me! ;) Yep it's true, it's 1-st song on Sabotage album! Very cool album, one of the last with Ozzy!

Speaking of BS, can anyone give short review of the "Reunion" new album??? I just know the tracklist and it looks great for an old Sabbath fan! :) Private mail will do it! :) Thanks! --

In case anyone's interested, Fish is currently starring in the British TV series "The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star". It's a spoof about a young Scottish rock band finding their feet in the music business, and it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Fish appears as Derek Trout, the owner of a plush recording studio. He was last seen spanking the bare bottom of a German beauty, dressing up like a tiger, and throwing mince'n'tatties (a Scottish cullinary speciality) at the drummer.

Rumours that Steve Hogarth will appear in next week's episode as Mr Trout's brother are believed to be unfounded.

    Hi all

keep those lists of top five albums coming in - some selections are very predictable, but some are also very surprising. And please send the lists to me, not to the Ytsejam, otherwise I may have to spam you with mails about stickers.

Last Friday I went to see the ancient British band Fairport Convention - what a great experience. Excellent musicians with good backgrounds (3 of the 4 have played for Jethro Tull at some stage) and the best violinist (Ric Sanders) I have ever seen in a "rock" band (and yes, I have seen Jean Luc Ponty). This guy was simply amazing. Dave Peg's bass work was great as well, very humble stage presence, but a wide range of styles and always spot on. Go see them if they come near you (they are playing a few more dates in Germany before returning to the shores of Albion. After that they will be touring in Australia in January 99.).

Perhaps it's just me, but I still fail to see how people can get worked up about films like 'Star Trek' or 'Star Wars'. To quote the late, great Bill Hicks "it's no wonder we're fucked up as a race". Give me reality any day.

stay safe and happy listening Neil Gallop (nga@software-ag.de) Currently playing: Cathedral - The Carnival Bizarre

Oh, you get yourself stuck on the "fucking thing", and *we're* supposed to get you off of it? Look, we all learned our lesson the first time. Most of us took at look at the "fucking thing" (the first sight of it was probably the cover of Hurricane's "Slave To The Thrill" album), and said "No way!". But not you. You just *had* to have one. Well, you should have read the manual when you bought it. If you can't reach the manual now, that's not our problem.

~ddictator just got a chubby thinking about the banned cover to "Slave To The Thrill".

Then again, life can go on as it does on this list and we shall all follow the beat of our own inner drummer and allshall be absolved in the end. Relative newcomer to gather bits of information :)

Firstly, could anyone tell me where I could get Majesty's demos from? (I mean download, preferably)

Secondly, it's not quite obvious to me what the story of 'The Killing Hand' refers to. Could sy help me out?

Last, but not least: what is the speciality of the Lo-pro edge tremolo of Ibanez as compared to the original Floyd Rose-type?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Oh yeah... that'll do it.

Just to add to the Marillion debate, I think Misplaced Childhood is their best studio cd but even better is the double live Thieving Magpie (the second CD is the whole of MC live and it is incredible). Now onto the Gilmour debate, this is a man who can pour his whole heart, soul and wealth of emotion into just one small and quiet note. I have no idea how he does it but he is a legend.

I've ordered from LE in the past, and have been satisfied with the service. My suggestion is to call the guy on the phone to see if he has what you want in stock, and then order it. Credit Card orders might have been slower in the past, but that doesn't seem to be the case now (my last order showed up 10 days after I placed it). Sometimes Ken gets referred to as "rude" by people, but I think that's because some folks expect that everyone they talk to on the phone is just going to want to sit and talk to them for hours about music or whatever problems they might have in life. Ken's running a business, and doesn't have time to yammer all day. If you want to talk to him about music, the Perpetual Motion conference board is a much better place to do it.

Disclaimer: I have no connection to LE, other than a satisfied customer. Your experiences may vary. Offer not valid in large parts of Pennsylvania, which should be used as a nuclear test site.
