well, it had to happen sooner or later.

mr pr*sm himself has declared bankruptcy.

everybody who sent him money has now officially lost out. he
claims to 'no longer have any assets' and 'legally has no
obligation to finish shipping any more products'.

long way from 'having everything shipped by thanksgiving, even
if everything goes to hell' (taken from previous update), isn't
    it?

    Hey!

Just wanted to say that I'm going to be at all the DT holiday shows, and I'd
like to hear from everyone else who will be attending. We'll pour some
goblets from the cask of '43 (winks at Syrinx) and toast the new year! Look
for the tall chick with the camera who looks like Ginger-Spice-gone-heavy-
metal. And don't be put off if I say, "You tawkin ta me?" if you come up to
me. I'm from the Bronx and we say that to EVERYbody! :) You'd be surprised
how threatening a black-clad towering redhead in platforms can be!

Anyway, hope to see a lot of you there!

For the record, I E-Mailed Mike today regarding taking over his
outstanding orders, with the stipulation that I get ALL of his Masters
in return. If this goes through, you will ALL be receiving any CDs you
have on order with Prism. Those CDs will be added to my catalog as
well. Apparently he also received other offers from other producers, so
one way or another I believe you will all get your debts settled.

    Hello,
I must be the most hateful, spiteful person on Earth. At this very moment,
I'm reading Mike's page and giggling uncontrollably. Its amazing that for
three and a half years now, we've been trying to get him to own up to his

I just saw a good write up of a band called Mind Rot in Modern Drummer which
praised the drummer (oddly enough) saying that he's got mean chops and
creativity. Has anyone heard anything about this band? (They're from
    southern cal.) Opinions please!

Hey, I'm always open to any rebuttal of my opinions. That's why they're called opinions... I'd like to see where you're getting your numbers for the Empire tour, tho'. You're just plain, 100%, USDA Grade A incorrect. This one isn't an opinion, it's just a simple fact...

For a listing of all shows on the Emipre tour, check out:

    http://www.queensryche.com/empire_tour_schedule.html

I mean, jesus, it's not like I'm making up numbers here, as apparently you are. I'm just counting the number of shows from the OFFICIAL tour list. Compare the official lists from both tours and you'll see what I mean... There were EXACTLY 65 shows scheduled for the Empire tour, as I said before... PROVE me wrong instead of just spouting it out on the list with no backing facts... If I'm wrong I'll admit it with no griping...

Yes, James has been off on both of the Liveconcerts shows, unfortunately. Tate was also not his best on his Liveconcerts broadcast. Apparently you're basing your opinion on those shows and the live albums. What is that, four or five shows? Get at least SOME basis for your arguments and we'll discuss further. Give us examples. Hell, come over and listen to all the DT shows I've got, and you'll see what I mean. I even agreed with you on some points. Did you just not see that, or are you just trying to get sympathy from those who know better?

Again, I'll reiterate for those who can't seem to get my general jist. I'm a Tate fan. I never insulted him in my posts, regardless of what those who's Hooked on Phonics didn't work for them say. And did you notice the final line of my last post? It WASN'T a flame - I was just kidding. Notice the smiley faces (I said that before, but some folks apparently didn't register it). This is an Internet mailing list and shouldn't be taken too seriously. If you can't take good humored jibes then just don't read anymore. I tried to make a lucid, tho' opinionated (as most are), discussion. Tate DOES have quirks, as all singers do (including LaBrie). He DOES let the backing vocals take over when he's tired - and that is NOT a bad thing (and I never said it was). It IS true that Tate quit after the third song during one HITNF show. QR DOESN'T throw in improvs, and neither does Tate (unless he can't hit the notes that night). Tate IS off key on a few songs on the shows I mentioned. Get the tapes (ie, "proof") before you dismiss my claims. Just because he's perfect on the shows you've heard (though if you call the internet show he did perfect, you're legally insane) doesn't mean he's perfect throughout. This seems to me like common sense stuff, but apparently not... You can't make generalizations without actually having something backing those generalizations.

I'm under the impression you were offended by the martyr lines (which were jokes, as I specificly said). I wouldn't have said that, tho', if you'd actually had some proof of your opinons. Give me examples (as I gave you with the two shows I mentioned previously). If you can't give examples you're out. You can't just say "Tate is never off key" without having anything to back it up. Maybe I'll cut an mp3 of the Mineapolis show...

Sorry to post this drivel, but it just bugs me when people make these sweeping assumptions with absolutely nothing to back them up. It really is assinine... Sheesh...

    Take care all..

Since Adam posted the Nicky Lemmons live Metropolis I gave it a listen, and I was turned on to something that I've noticed before but it never quite clicked. When James sings Metropolis live the "As a child I thought I could live without pain" portion comes out:

"Alcatraz! I thawed out my limbs with a pain, with a taaaaarooooot, alcatraz I pound that tack hard into me, I'm a spear and I'm soooo.... AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This may sound a little far fetched but hey it's what I hear. Also, on that particular mp3, I often hear what sounds like audience members chimbing in everytime James goes high. You'll hear these little extra voices going "WWWAAAHHHHH"

Sorry for spammin with my pointless nonsense.

I don't think it's fair to say that... In the beginning days of The Mirror, we could all state our opinion as to what topics the list should/could be about... Then there was a vote, and the rules were clear. Until now, Lisa Marie has only made sure that those democratic rules were followed, and IMO she never did something unreasonable... Besides, the purpose of The Mirror was to be DIFFERENT from the Jam, i.e. less BS and more DTC. (I don't mind b*llsh*t on the Jam, mind you, I just don't want it on The Mirror)
