Hello Jammers.
I would like to wish everyone Happy New Year. Some of you, I have met.
Most of you, I have not. But HappyNewYear anyway.
My New Year's resolution is: "Not to hold myself accountable for any
New Year's Resolutions."

Hey!
I taped the Toad's Place show in New Haven on DAT, looking for some
people who might have taped some other shows to trade. If so, Get in
touch with me. I know they were switching up the setlist a bit, so I'm
looking for all of the shows.

Yes to both questions. He was in the studio with Tears For Fears earlier
this year, but I don't know what ever happened to that... I haven't kept up
with TFF, so I'm not sure if they actually released anything yet. Nick has
also performed and/or recorded with Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Eric Burdon,
The Manhattan Transfer, Sheryl Crow, Kevin Gilbert, and I'm sure a bunch of
others that I'm not aware of.

Neal doesn't talk much about the lyrics, but there is a comment or two
about The Light in the FAQ <http://www.spocksbeard.net/faq.html>, but
nothing about FU/I'm sorry specifically. You could always email him and ask
him though... he's pretty good about responding to email when he's home.

Naw dude, the under 21-ers were behind the net. I'm one of them. Five months
shy of my 21st. After one of the first songs, Derek turned over to our side,
and said "whats with the net?" And someone told him, and he just shook his
head. Someone said that the club didnt expect much of an under 21 crowd, so
they moved the net further over than usual. Too bad I didn't take my jacket
off, I was wearing your shirt Josh! Would have liked to meet you. BTW, it
was an awesome show. I was proud to be one of the 5 people there that was
singing along to all the songs. Lets pray to god that Bogie recorded these
shows!

<<<Huh. From what I remember when I was there, the part they netted off was
where the bar is. To get alcohol, I remember I had to go to the back of
the room and behind that net, and I thought, "fuck this, I can't see
shit" so I went back to my spot in the regular section. If what you say
is true, that would be pretty unfair - are you sure it wasn't the other
way around?

The weather sucked... then again, after waiting 4 hours in the rain to get good spots in the pit tends to numb every appendage in your body..... as for the show...
Austin Powers.... nice touch.
The Silent Man- incredible song, I especially liked James taking the chorus up the octave at the end,..
Another Day- Words can't describe how awsome this sounded... I was waiting for the soprano sax to come out, but too bad.
Take Away My Pain- amazing rendition
To Live Forever... god i love that song.. Please please put it on your next album guys...
Ice Cream Man- nice touch putting derek up there doing the david lee roth thang
Paradigm Shift (Liquid Tension) was absolutely incredible... definitely the highlight of my night.. mike and john were jammin like mad
Loved O' Holy Night... James hitting the Mariah Carey-esque notes deserves major props--u the man..

Don't feel too bad. I sent in my order for 800.com a while back (about 3 weeks ago); the Black Sabbath Reunion set, the Best of U2 set, and the Rush live set.
I finally got a package in the mail today. It was addressed to me from 800.com inc. I got excited. I opened up the package and what was inside it?
Garth Brooks live, the Best of Phil Collins, and Hootie and the Blowfish.

Music Street Journal 12 is online now. It includes part one of a special on California based progressive rock band Lands End. For this month`s segment of the special there is a review of their latest album (d)rainage and the album An Older Land. Other progressive rock reviews for the month are Emerson, Lake and Palmer`s Then And Now CD and Dream Theater-5 Years in A Livetime video. The new progressive metal review for the month is New Sun-Affects, while Black Sabbath`s technical ecstasy is the progressive metal flashback for January. Chasing the Mad Rabbit, by Bliss, a wonderful example of expert songwriting, is the new nonprogressive review. BOC`s Joe Bouchard`s band The X Brothers` album Solid Citizens is the nonprogressive flashback. An intriguing album by OnOffOn called Surrender Now is the Indie Mania release for this month. Check out the site at www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Arena/9250/ or use this link Music Street Journal . Wait, stop the presses! They're playing "Where Are You Now" on this tour? The world really must be coming to an end. This song needs to be released. I don't care why, I don't care how, but this song needs to be heard. It's right up there with Surrounded and LSOAD (which is the probably highest praise I can give a song) and I've only heard it through my little one-inch speaker via a realaudio file. If you're not going to put it on the next album, for God's sake make it a b-side or something. -End of Rant-

Hell, yah. IMO, Break and Wounded share much of the same feel, only Wounded is actually heavier. Before forking over the money to pick up Time Lost (which is my least favorite), I'd recommend Wounded instead. Time Lost is a collection of B-Sides from the two albums. You can't go wrong with it, but the only place I've seen it for sale it was about $30. :) I wouldn't get it until you were comfortable with Wounded. I still don't understand how someone who liked ABotW couldn't like Wounded, but opinions are like pubic hair, everyone has a few and no one else wants to hear anything about 'em.
If you like Wounded, go for Time Lost. People have ragged about Break being Enchant's sell-out alternative/grungy album and all kinds of other bullshit. I, personally, don't detect anything of the sort. I would think Break would be a sure bet for anyone who really liked ABotW and Wounded. So, to wrap it up, chronological order works. You have ABotW. Get Wounded next, then make the choice whether you want Break or Time Lost. Either is a winner after that. (whew!)
