I think that he meant a "new issue" of the guitar magazine,
don't you think?

No, it's just that the last message on the Jam is the place for returning jammers. When I was gone from the jam for a year and a half or so, my first post was EOJ. Coincidence?

As most of you know, I seldom bitch about the content of the Jam, seldom piss and moan unless someone does something really egregiously evil (well, excepting snowballs :)).
Rogerio, I know you read the Jam in "ack" mode. For many of us, this translates as "ack!" mode since the Jam often fills up with your posts. This is fine as long as it doesn't get out of hand (which it has, sometimes) and as long as your posts contain substantive DT content.
--Let's now look at your last post finishing off Jam number 3406. Asking for help in editing/proofreading some liner notes is fine, but EVEN IF THEY WERE DT LINER NOTES, which they weren't, posting the entire file to the Jam is a frightful waste of our time and space on the Jam. Couldn't you have said "I have some liner notes here I'd like edited, email me and I'll send you the file"?
Try to think a bit before posting, please. (Yes, I know, this was also a waste of Jam-space. Sorry, it fuckin' HAD to be said.)

I've decided to set the #Ytsejam IRC page up a bit differently... It took a couple of hours, but now the IRC section consists of 30 pages ! :-) There is a main page with info on how to get on the IRC page... For each letter of the alphabet, there's a *seperare* page. The Ytse Couples have their own page. And to make it easier to find people, there's an index sorted on nicknames and an index sorted on people's last names. Well, I guess you gotta see it for yourself. :-) Take a look...
URL: http://www.prognosis.com/dream/
Also, check out Itchy's Dream Theater Homepage for December's MFP lists for the Ytsejam and Voices. There's been a lot of confusion about the URLs people were linked to (*last* URL people mentioned on the list). From now on, only URLs that "match" your email addy will get a link automatically... There are simple instructions on Itchy's Homepage for those who want to have *another* link on the MFP lists (for instance a Geocities or Fortune City homepage).
http://www.prognosis.com/itchy/indexdt.htm
Enjoy !
Ps. Don't forget to check out those cool Ytsejam parodies ;-)

I apologize for the space wasted on the 'jam and I'm seriously thinking of avoing any kind of further posts. BTW, I usually think a *lot* more than what you seem to think that I think before doing anything. Way more.
I also don't like flamewars. Let's not continue this (be it on a public forum or even e-mail). I'm definitely not in the mood of fighting.
Apologizing for the whole space wasted since I subscribed to this fine mailing list, Rogerio Theodoro de Brito.

***Rock on with your bad self! I got the album after hearing about it on the jam for about a month and a half continuously. I bought it the day it came out, my buddy and I wipped out the Fates section at CC. I have to admit, It took a little getting used to. I wasn't used to getting SLAMMED in the face with kickass prog. I used to the more subtle approach, you know, when you have to listen hard to find it. The funniest thing about this album is how the band was afraid that people would only listen to the album when they went to sleep, so they stuck a few seconds of an alarm clock going off at the end. My favorite parts Track: 2, 4, 7,8,9,11 The rest rock too, but if I'm in a skipping around mood, these are the ones that I skip to. ROCK ON! J

I TOTALLY agree , graham....ALL of their songs are great songs! If one doesn't appeal to you as much as another...simply listen to it anyway and allow yourselves to be open minded enough to appreciate it's talent, feel, and (perfect)execution musically. Remember that every song you hear was first a feeling and an idea that these GREAT musicians had in their head(s) and were awesome enough to pick up instruments and recreate those emotions through their playing well enough for ANY open minded person (musicians especially) to appreciate. -----just a thought! :)
Zildjian "I *used* to think that I could play the drums pretty well....until I heard MP!!" -----Me ! :) PS. Thanks again Kevin for that AWESOME Portnoy realaudio file. Damn that man can play!!!
