I have to strongly disagree with the comment made the ROR is a bad
album. It still is one of my favorite albums overall as well as of
Journey's. Right next to Frontiers of course.

I'm surprised that they'd still use the Journey name without Perry or
Greg Rollie singing (and Smith gone now too). I guess they're looking
for the sales boast it will give them.

Neil Schon has played with so many combinations of people under
different names, I'm surprised he would all of a sudden decide to cash
in on the "Journey" name. Maybe they should get Jonathan Waite to sing
    and call it Bad English...

Abraxas Pool was mentioned in the jam, I have it on my "to get" list,
any more input on that one?

On the subject of Neil Schon, his solo album called "Beyond the
Thunder" is very good. (It really is a collaboration with Jonathan
Cain). Mellow, adult new age/jazz style instrumental album, with lots
    of Schon's catchy leads.

Schon's other recent solo disc is "Electric World". He had so much
music for it, it is actually 2 discs at the one disc price. This is
more "world" style music, with lots of percussion (ala Santana). It's
similar to Liquid Tension Experiment, in that it was put together
almost as jam sessions with all of these various musicians (although
it is definately "studio refined"). Some of it is like Peter
Gabriel's Passion disc, with more percussion, and Neil playing tasty
    riffs over the top.

This is definately more Jazz (instrumental) than anything else. Works
well as relaxation, mood, or background music. ("Beyond the Thunder"
contains more catchy riffs than "Electric World") And as usual, Neil
can't help himself, and cuts loose quite often, although it's a little
    lower in the mix.

    my $.02, BH

NP - Neil Schon/Electric World (I actually had this in the player
before the whole Journey topic came up).

Actually, that is wrong. ROR wasn't released until 86. Looking at

I don't understand why anyone would think this, no offense. If you want DMB
at their best, get Remember Two Things. It has far superior live tracks
(RECENTLY!!!), as well as two of the best tracks Dave has written, IMHO:
Minarets and Seek Up. The problem with the Red Rocks discs is that none of
the traditional Dave "live-only" tracks are there: Angel From Montgomery,
Granny, Inspiration, etc. I think the band just released this to quell the
    boot market.

    >I hope that the covers make it, too.

Actually, I meant To Live Forever, Speak To Me, Cover My Eyes, The Way It
Used To Be, etc. when I said "non-album". Those cover tunes aren't
something I liked as the originals, so I couldn't care if they make it on
to the album. Then again, I was never a "Love Lies Bleeding" fan until DT
did it. It's nice to see the band acknowledging this "non-album" material
as important to their fans, because we all know the influence those TLF
    harmonies have had on D-Man...

At this point, I'd like to thank Chris "Madsman" Ptacek for
hosting UACM on his Prognosis domain for the last couple of
years (I'm gonna miss that URL). I would also like to thank
John "sp00l" Martin, for his help with setting things up on
the new location. You guys are the best. :)

Ok, here's where I ask you guys for a favour... If you have
a link to RSABBS and/or UACM on your homepage please update
it with the following information :

      http://www.dreamtheater.net/

      Under A Cyber Moon
      The Official Dream Theater Website

      (or something like that)

I would also appreciate it, if you could notify other sites
about the change if you come across a link to RSABBS and/or
UACM... You'll save me a lot of work...

As usual, any suggestions for UACM are more than welcome...
There's still some stuff I have to work out first, so allow
me a few days to get my act together. :)

I'm not telling you what music to buy. But unless you're hundreds of
years old, this rule will prevent you from enjoying a world of
outstanding music. I shudder when I think of all the great music I
