Hi All--
I heard it takes a while to get your membership package from the club, but
geez...my girlfriend joined me up as part of her gift to me last
Valentine's day; I mailed the stuff off Feb 15 and haven't heard a peep
yet. Is this normal, or should I go ahead and pull a Unabomber on them?
Just wondering.
Oh, and for those who care, Metallica was freakin' amazing as always in
Charlotte last Saturday night. Set included full Fight Fire With Fire and
full Master of Puppets among others. Orgasmic.

It looks like my band found a bass player! Yippee! We had one practice
and things clicked well, so there may be news about a new proggish band in
the Bay Area in the next few months. :)
Mosh: Cool news about Zero Hour. I was getting curious when the cd would
come out. I still listen to the tape of their 17 minute song that they
gave me. Did they find a permanent keyboardist yet?
Kev and Chromakey. For those wanting some cool ZonderDrums, listen to "On
the Page" --- the second half has some nice dumming, and the whole thing
has some great piano work.
The new Symphony X should be in my hands soon ...

Greetings,
I need to get a new amp. I'd like to get a stack, but the truth is I
just don't have room for one right now. I'd like something that can give
me really good balls and chunk, perhaps similar to Bernd's tone, but that
can really give some awesome sounding lead tone. I'd like something that
kind of doesn't sound saturated on the high end but that sounds chunky on
the low, I guess. I'd like to hit an artificial harmonic and make it
scream. It sohould also be good for club gigs and four-track recording,
as that's probably what I'll be using it for as well as jamming. Good
clean tone would also be nice. Any suggestions from the masses? Thanks

Yesterday I recieved my copy of 'Static Progress', a little over a
months turn around time from 'go to wo'.
The whole CD package is very professional looking, artwork is simple
yet effective.
The sound quality is easily an A+, for an audience, close to
perfect as you can get, as good, if not better than the legendary
'The Dance Of Eternity' bootleg.
The set list is also just as good, including: StM, ToT, Scarred
and TTT with an awesome outro jam.
Overall my ratings are: sound 10/10, artwork 8.5/10
If you are looking for a great FII tour boot and don't want to wait
months and months for other boots, this is the one to get.

Do you know who is saying what? that one sounds kinda like Petrucci, but I'm not very familiar with the other guys voices (I have Petrucci's instructional video, so I kinda know what his voice sounds like). If you could give me a list of who is saying what in that program, it would help a whole lot.

Regarding the drums of Hollow Years (I am no drummer) I have a question. They sound real acoustic, with room. But the click in the beginning. OK I'm using my asbestos gloves to type this, awaiting all the vitriol and passion that my request may cause.
Anybody out there willing to do an 'all expenses paid' tape trade of Subconscious for me with my first generation CD boot Guitar Talkin with the following track list. I'll pay for tapes, postage, clean underwear and earplugs to drown out the deafening response from 'fans' anxious to limit the listening sphere for this precious piece of DT folklore.
My main reason for this post was reading the recent auction initiated by a jammer for Subconscious which showed me the track list for the first time........cooolllll stuff!!!!!
Of course I understand the passion and sense of ownership that goes along with boots but in all honesty after listening to Guitar Talkin', which was my first ever boot purchased from a CD Fair, my first response was OK let's do some tape trading so I can hear some cool stuff. And I did some good business with Kezcom and MentalHunk (nice names) which got me some good gig boots
