Hello Fellow Jammers.
Another message from tha Lowlands.
Two subjects:
1:The most touching song I know must be 'Eleanor' by The Gathering.
Also their song 'Leaves',of wich the lyrics touch me deeply, both of Mandylion, their greatest album ever, in my opinion.
2:Has anyone ever heard Watchtower's Control And Resistance-album?
If not, buy it. It's the most technical music you will ever hear. Sadly it is to technical to have ever become real popular, I think.
In the song The Fall Of Reason, track 4, at approx. 3:09, there's a basspart starting, containing all harmonics(flageolets)wich remembered me of the beginning of 'The ones who helped set the sun' by DT.
Did anyone else notice that? I think it's even close to being the same notes, only Whatchtower plays four bars of 6/8 followed by four bars of 5/8 measure, DT plays 3x's 5/8, one 7/8 and then four bars of 6/8 measure. (just the reverse of the other version)
These album's both came out in 1989, so who was first, or is it just a cincidence?
You can download an MP3 off my homepage, containing both fragments mixed behind each other. It could easily be one song.
Download it if you don't know Watchtower, or just look at my homepage.
It's at http://home.talkcity.com/BasinSt/Jorrit.

Please, let's use our inside voices.
My bad on the s's placement.
Maybe the club is the Explorer's, but he/she has friends who come over.
Or, like I said, maybe it's club in the caveman sense.

I am a musician/artist in Holland.
Just as any other musician/artist in Holland I'm very glad that we have such a thing as BUMA/STEMRA. It protects the copyright to music and lyrics we artists make.
So please stop complaining about B/S only because you don't have this privillege overthere.

Please pay attention.
Perhaps you misread our conversation. Nobody was even complaining
about Buma/Stemra. Swifty was only warning about a potential problem to
tape/CD traders.
Nobody is putting down your country (which would be a really
disgusting thing). We are only talking that things there work differently
than in ours.
Surely this governmental organization is doing its job and we
aren't talking complaining about that. They're protecting the copyrights
of the artists and we understand that perfectly. Also, this wasn't the
point of the first message.
The point was another thing completely different.
Thank you for paying attention.

What if it's a golf club? Then it's a gathering of friends AND a blunt object. This...is... confusing...and it gets worse if the club has its own club sandwiches. Mmm, a club sandwich, better get a hacksaw to cut it. And a set of Jaws' teeth (notice the correct use of the apostrophe) to eat it. Wash down with a CLUB soda. This is getting to be too much, I have to go club someone now.
