I am. I've ordered from Laser's Edge several times, and each time I've
tried CC it takes longer. And the idea that 9 discs take longer to get them
in is also off, because before ordering I call or email to confirm
availability.
Just a warning. Ken *does* eventually get the discs to you, and the prices
are great, so if you can stand the wait....

Got an open question for anyone who can help.... are there any Jammers that
were at this past Sunday's (7/19) Metallica Great Woods show? Especially,
there was a guy sitting in the back bleachers next to me who had a Touring
Into Infinity shirt on. I commented how cool your shirt was, and we struck up
a DT-related conversation. I didn't get your name, nor did I find out if you
were a Jammer (what can I say, I'm a retard sometimes).... if you, or anyone
else is out there, please drop me a private e-mail. I was wondering what the
final encore of the night was, since I left a little early to beat traffic.

Also, regarding the new Angra single everyone but me seems to have, is the
acoustic version of "Make Believe" just the original studio recording with
different instruments remixed, or is it a live acoustic recording?
Additionally, where can someone get their hands on this single? Please point

Like, do you think 5$ is too much for seeing Mike on a drum clinic?
It was the same charge in Finland a half a year ago and I can tell you it
was well worth it. He told stuff that is not on his instuctional video and
he played some incredible licks too... I valuate it well over 5$ and I'm
happy to admit by such a low admission fee. I would have paid more just too
see him and to get his autograph and to tell hin that he is the God in
drumming... After the clinic in Finland Mike and John Petrucci wrote
autocraphs for anyone who wanted them and talked to anyone and that was way
cool! I think these guys really are Gods.

Okay, I must apologize for my severe lateness in doing a review of the SM show at Cornerstone a few weeks ago, but, well, I'm a lazy bastard :). Anyway, I had gotten to the tent they were playing at pretty early so I could be sure and get a good spot. As was the case last year when they played, the crowd was sitting, ready to take it all in. The band took quite a while to come out (the natives grew quite restless, too, but I had a good spot right in the center of the tent, and I had a lawn chair, so I was happy). Finally, the band did come out (about 30-45 minutes late) to much fog and some nicely eerie piano music. The stage set wasn't terribly elaborate (due to the small stage and the fact that they were playing in a large tent), but they made the best of it by hanging some flags and props about. The set list consisted entirely of songs from Legend 1 and 2. Since I don't yet have Legend 2 (that should change very soon), I can't really say what specific songs they played, but I didn't really care. It was just flat amazing. No noticeable technical difficulties (unlike last year), the band was tight and everything was on. One noticeable thing was that singer Eric Clayton wasn't wearing his usual black robes and whatnot. No, this time he was adorned in all white, which added a nice effect. There were some pyrotechnics, but nothing too elaborate. The crowd was totally into it, too. The band came back after finishing and pulled some older songs out for the encore (I think they closed that with "Legion"). It was definitely the best show of the fest, and one of the best I've ever seen. I highly recommend Saviour Machine to anyone who likes their music a little dark, a little heavy, and extremely emotional and passionate. Oh yeah, the band was selling their merch. like mad, too. They completely sold out of their copies of Legend 2 in something like 20 minutes, so, unfortunately, I was unable to snag a copy (I did get the "Behold a Pale Horse" single, though). Also, they are playing a show in the Chicago area on Halloween night this year. I can't find my flyer at the moment, but as soon as I do I'll post the info here. I am definitely planning on going to that show, too.

anyways, I have a quick CD recommendation. Kevin Hearn, "Mothball Mint." Kevin's a Canadian artist who happened to recruit the bassist from Barenaked Ladies to play on his album (that's why I bought it). Anyways, if you like BNL, you'll like this album, and if you like prog, some of these songs really kick.... "oh glowworm" and "horizon" are two really good ones.

That's not because he's using Netscape, that's because the server hasn't been configured to recognize MP3 as a valid MIME-type, thus feeds it to browsers as ASCII data. Happens just the same with Lynx, one of the most real browsers around.
I do think e-mailing the webmaster will do the trick. Been there, done that more than once. Not in the mood to use one of those unreal browsers brought to you by Microsnot. (Besides, Internet Explorer can't resume downloading in case of a timeout. Sucky.)
